This is a five-star hotel with a luxurious, old-school decor. The hotel service is absolutely impeccable; every single staff member was incredibly friendly and had an excellent attitude, making us feel right at home. We even happened to be staying during a political conference. The location is fantastic, very close to the high-speed train station and only about a kilometer from the ancient city. A special shout-out to the auntie at the fifth-floor spa; as a 'southern kid' experiencing a full body scrub for the first time, she was so gentle and kind throughout the entire process. We spent out last night of our trip at Kempinski Taiyuan, and it did not disappoint. The receptionist upgraded up to a room on a high floor with a view of the city. They also gave us fresh fruits and free minibar. They had everything you would expect of a five star hotel, and the location is in a bustling part of the city. Would definitely come back.

Honestly, the Superior Twin Room is perfectly fine. The Deluxe rooms are just bigger than the Superior ones, but there's no other difference, and the extra space isn't really utilized. The hotel staff provided excellent service, the rooms were very clean, and the food was delicious (the braised pork, stir-fried pork slices, siu mai, and sweet and sour meatballs were all outstanding). I especially liked the buckwheat pillows in each room; they're perfect for someone like me who can't sleep on high pillows. The front desk gave everyone a beautiful souvenir map. Even when retrieving our bags, the bellhop quickly came over and hurried to assist, which shows that the Garden Hotel treats its employees well, as their professionalism and enthusiasm for service are exceptional. There are several popular internet-famous restaurants around the hotel. You can go down to get a number during meal times, then come back to the hotel and relax, and head back down when your number is called an hour or two later. No need to wait outside the hotel in the cold. I have to recommend a hidden gem: a fried skewer shop near the hotel. It's incredibly tasty, even the coating on the quail eggs is crispy. The spa area is a bit small, with only two scrubbing stations and five showers, but the scrubbing service, massage service, and other assisted bathing services are all excellent and reasonably priced. The staff scrub very diligently. My family member said that the guy ahead of him, after asking about the prices, immediately declared he wanted every service! 😂😂😂 I feel like if I come back in the future, I'll still choose the Garden Hotel.

For this trip to Pingyao Ancient City, I chose the upscale Pingyao Libai Hotel. As expected of a Jinjiang Inn hotel, the entire hotel was spacious and bright, with warm and modern rooms. All the amenities were in place, making for a very comfortable stay. Parking was very convenient for those traveling by car, thanks to the hotel's on-site parking lot, which was in a prime location. The hotel environment was beautiful, and the staff were warm and attentive. Getting to Pingyao Ancient City was easy; it's not far from the West Gate and North Gate, just a short walk away. There are also many dining options nearby in the evenings. Staying at the Libai Hotel when visiting Pingyao Ancient City is a perfect choice!

Environment: The hotel is located near Baima Temple Mountain, offering a beautiful, elegant, comfortable, and peaceful setting. Facilities: The hotel opened in May and is fully equipped. The in-room hot spring pool is very comfortable, with ample water flow, fast Wi-Fi, and a wide selection of complimentary drinks in the mini bar. Breakfast is also quite varied. Cleanliness: The hotel is very clean, and the hot spring center is also spotless! Service: The entire hotel staff is friendly and helpful, and the service is excellent, both in the guest rooms and in the restaurant. The front desk staff is very welcoming and will personally explain the hotel facilities and escort them to your room. They also give a small gift upon check-out. My whole family is very satisfied with this hotel and will stay again! Fengyang Yitang Hot Spring 4-Hour Ticket (Includes a meal of your choice and unlimited fruit and drinks): The hot springs aren't large, but they are clean and provide ample leisure and entertainment. Food and drinks upstairs are all free.

Hygiene: Excellent. All towels, bath towels, and bathrobes come in sealed bags, which made me feel very secure using them. Facilities: Excellent. Although it's an older hotel, the showerheads show their age but are very well-maintained and work perfectly. Environment: The location is great. The room card gives access to a small gate leading to Yingze Lake Park. It's a nice two to three-kilometer loop for a leisurely stroll. Service: Excellent. They offered complimentary welcome fruits, and you just scan a QR code to request more amenities. There's also a delivery robot that brings food right to your door, all very convenient. Suggestion: I hope they can switch from instant Nestlé coffee to pour-over coffee bags. Instant coffee feels too low-end and doesn't match the hotel's overall quality.

The room was clean and tidy, the cleaning service was in place every day, the service was particularly intimate, and the stay was at ease! The hotel's breakfast is varied and nutritious, with hot dishes, porridge, steamed buns, sweet potatoes, taro pumpkin and other multi-grain staples, pastry bread and milk! Especially praise Zhao Junchen of the catering department for helping to find seats, serve meals, and the service is hot and thoughtful! There is also Zhang Pengxia, the service housekeeper, who carefully prepared children's slippers and dental appliances!

Later I discovered that I was the Nian beast. I came during the Chinese New Year and left after herding the sheep and setting off firecrackers. As soon as the charger was unplugged, it was goodbye again tomorrow. I really miss my childhood. I could just play with a ball all afternoon, or I could Rush to the New Year greeting line, go to the front and ask for sweets. Growing up may be hiding tears in your eyes. You may not have a Happy New Year, but you must have a good New Year! The front desk staff were very friendly and patient, answering all my questions. They even upgraded my room. The mattress was comfortable, and the two pillows, one firm and one soft, were also quite comfortable. The hotel's location is good, with many restaurants nearby and plenty of parking. The soundproofing in the room and hallway was decent. The only downside is the soundproofing of the windows. Near the Red Star Macalline shopping mall, taxis often wait for fares at night, honking their horns loudly when they need to enter or exit. The sound rises between the two buildings, and even with all the windows closed, the sound is as loud as if the windows were open, making life unbearable for residents on higher floors. I thought the higher floors, being away from the street, would be quiet, but the constant barrage of taxi honking, slamming car doors, loud noises, and rain is unbearable. I have to get up early to travel today... I barely slept a wink last night.

This is a great hotel! The rooms are very spacious, bright, and well-lit, equipped with all the necessary amenities. The front desk service was excellent; Duty Manager Yoyo was particularly warm and attentive, ensuring all our needs were promptly met, which was truly heartwarming. There's free parking available, and the location is very convenient – a direct passage on the first floor leads straight to the shopping mall, which was super handy. Highly recommend it! The hotel's breakfast offered a wide variety of healthy and delicious options. The Chaoshan cuisine at the Chinese restaurant on the 5th floor was incredibly authentic; my husband even said it tasted just like his mom's cooking! The restaurant staff were also very welcoming and enthusiastic. We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Taiyuan.
