Very good, clean and comfortable, with a good sense of space; water is expensive in Europe, so I added extra purified water; the external environment is beautiful~

The highlight of our stay at Bad Hotel Überlingen was definitely the spa area. It felt very new, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The sauna resting area, in particular, stood out—it connects directly to a garden, and from there you have a beautiful view over Lake Constance. Stepping outside for fresh air between sauna sessions, with that view in front of you, was genuinely relaxing.
The gym, on the other hand, felt a bit disappointing. It’s quite small, and strangely, there were no weights available. It seemed like all the equipment was locked away in a physio or personal training room, which made the space feel incomplete for anyone wanting a proper workout.
Breakfast was a much more positive experience. The selection was excellent, easily better than what I’ve come across in most German hotels. Everything was well presented, and the refilling was always timely, so nothing ever felt empty or neglected. That said, the service was a little inconsistent. One staff member—a dark hair runner in the restaurant—handled a small issue with a pepper grinder poorly, initially dismissing the concern instead of checking it. Thankfully, another server stepped in quickly and resolved the situation before it escalated further.
Parking is available either at the hotel or at the car park across the street, both at €17 per day, which is straightforward but something to factor in.
What really ties everything together is the location. The surroundings are beautiful—the lakefront promenade is just there, perfect for a walk, and there’s a nearby park with a charming tower that adds to the scenery. The Bodensee-Therme Überlingen is also just around the corner, making it easy to extend that spa-like feeling beyond the hotel itself.
In the end, Bad Hotel Überlingen is a place where the setting and spa experience really shine, even if a few details—like the gym setup and some service moments—don’t quite match the overall potential. This is one of the very few hotel I would love to stay over again.

ZhiailansedemaoThis is a truly perfect hotel, spacious and bright, with a striking design. It has two rooms, one inside and one outside, and the sofa bed in the outer room is incredibly comfortable and high-quality. The window overlooks the street, and the sound of church bells drifts in the breeze, evoking a sense of ethereal peace and tranquility... It's a style my children and I absolutely adore. The room also comes with a generous selection of food and beverages, all included in the room rate. The service charge accepts both credit and cash, which is very flexible. The bathroom sink plug was broken, so I called customer service. Upon opening the door, the handsome front desk guy came to fix it. Without a word, he took off his suit and quickly fixed it. This multi-person experience isn't limited to domestic use. My children said they probably waited for the repairman to arrive, and they didn't know when.

Guest UserPros- Funky hotel in a central location. You can walk to the city center. Very close to U6 tram which goes directly to the airport. Stay at room 520 for for nights. The room was spacious with bright lights. The bed was big and comfy. The staff is young and energetic.
Cons - breakfast lack varieties. Send message to staff via tablet/ipad provided in the room but no response. The fridge was not working.

Bakeya-Funny🔗 Online check-in: They send an email beforehand with a link to fill out your information and preferences online. The hotel then assigns rooms based on these requests, making it super convenient to just grab your key card upon arrival. My only minor gripe is that the email frequency from booking to arrival felt a bit too high.
🍽️ Dining: Didn't try the hotel's food, and there weren't any recommended restaurants nearby. Good dining options required traveling a bit further. Restaurants around tourist attractions offered more choices and better quality.
🗺️ Location: It's literally a 2-minute walk from the main train station – couldn't be closer! An excellent location, so you don't have to rush for your train (even if German trains aren't always on time).
🗣️ Noise: Despite being so close to the main train station, you barely hear any noise in the room. With the windows closed, it's almost eerily quiet.

Although it is an old house, the sanitary conditions are very good, the breakfast is also very rich, and the transportation is convenient.

The hotel has a history, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is also plentiful. However, the bathtub in the bathroom is extremely dirty, with yellow stains in the drain hole, making it unsafe to use!

Hotel is nice, good location and staff friendly and helpful. However that's when you see the staff whichis usuallyin themorning. I checked in online as requested, was informed that I will get a code for door and room. I thought it is to make thecheck in process more efficient. I came in the afternoon and couldn't get inside the building, which need the code to get in. Finally some other guests came and I got in the building, and the hotel doesn't have reception to check you in. There is only a German phone number, which I don't want to call as it is an international call for me. There is email which I could send, but nobody answered. I don't know what to do to check in. Finally I found the code in email from hotel in my spam folder and managed to find my room. It's not clear that without the code nothing you can do. I think as a hotel some human intervention maybe needed

Anonymous UserThere was a sudden cold snap and it was freezing, so I specifically canceled my previous booking to find a hotel with air conditioning. I called this hotel's front desk to confirm they had AC before booking. However, upon check-in, I discovered the AC was only blowing cold air. The staff insisted I trust them, saying it would get warm after a while, completely ignoring that it was blowing cold! After a long discussion, it was clear they were unwilling or unable to do anything.

Guest UserThe room was large and very clean. The bathtub is also an unexpected joy. The indoor pool experience is great, and there is a steam room. Stayed for 7 days, very good, this price is also very good. It is convenient to eat nearby and the supermarket is very big.
