Cleanliness - 4/5 - Our room was clean on arrival and the staff were very quick in making up the room upon request. However, my parents room had a musty aroma so I think they could have done better with the smell of the room.
Location - 5/5 - Honestly the ONLY good thing about this hotel is the beach. We stayed on a very busy bank holiday weekend and most people were using the pool, I was surprised at how few people were in the sea because honestly it is one of the most beautiful beaches for swimming I've ever been to. I've been to many beaches across south east Asia but there are always some negatives like sharp coral or crowds, but this beach had none of that. You could go out really far, the water was really warm and it was safe for swimming. I highly recommend this beach.
Service - 1/5 - Now we get to the negatives of the hotel, and I want to say before I start that the staff were all incredibly friendly and really did try their best to make us feel welcomed. However, meal times are an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. The breakfast buffet was always crowded and every day there was a queue to enter the breakfast. There was never enough cutlery or bowls for food so you are always struggling to find them and frequently have to ask the staff who are rushed off their feet. All the coffee machines were broken for our entire stay so we had to ask staff to make coffee for us every time. At lunch and dinner there are both a la carte and buffet options. We had full board, which honestly felt like being treated as peasants. When they hear you want to use the meal voucher, there's a certain expression on some of the staff's faces. Some of the restaurants will also be reserved for paying customers without warning so you are not able to eat there, despite having paid for your meals in advance. Despite some of the staff being absolutely amazing and super friendly, some were incredibly inefficient. One lunch time we waited 2 hours for service and we were told they forgot our order. Additionally, some staff write your order on scraps of paper and don't have proper writing pads and pens to record orders correctly. When one staff member wrote down our order, he couldn't repeat it back to us because he couldn't understand what he had written, he was writing on the back of a crumpled up receipt. Not professional.
Amenities - 2/5 - Although I would say the pool and gym are great, the quality of the food here is just so poor and meal times are so chaotic, I cannot give more than 2/5 for this one.
Stayed at Woda Villa & Spa Batam and had a generally pleasant experience.
Pros:
The location is very convenient, as it’s close to the town area, making it easy to access shops and restaurants options. The 2-bedroom villa is spacious and comfortable, great for families or small groups. Toiletries were also well provided, with sufficient amenities for the stay.
Cons:
The private pool is on the smaller side, which may be a bit limiting if you’re looking to fully relax or swim. There were quite a number of mosquitoes, although the villa does provide repellent which helps. The breakfast buffet spread is also quite limited, so don’t expect a wide variety of options.
Overall:
A good stay for those looking for a spacious villa in a convenient location, but with some minor drawbacks in facilities and dining variety
I recently stayed at Harmoni One Convention Hotel and had a mixed experience.
We booked four rooms under the same reservation; however, the rooms were allocated on different floors and were scattered, which was inconvenient for our group. Room size was adequate and generally comfortable for a short stay.
Unfortunately, there was a serious issue during check-in. After the process was completed, my passport was not returned to me. I only realised this the following morning and went to the front desk to enquire. The staff on duty initially insisted that the hotel does not retain guests’ passports overnight as it is against their policy.
Upon my request, they agreed to investigate further and review the CCTV footage. It was eventually discovered that the staff who handled my check-in had inadvertently left my passport inside the scanner machine — overnight.
While I appreciate that the team eventually located and returned the passport, this represents a significant lapse in check-in procedure and document handling. Passports are critical travel documents, and greater diligence is necessary to prevent such oversights.
Overall, the room itself was acceptable, but the check-in experience requires substantial improvement to ensure guest security and confidence.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
Very efficient and friendly front counter service and there is hotel staff assist in crossing the busy road. Very clean and comfortable hotel. Very convenient location. Will definitely come back if going to Batam.

This hotel made me feel like I paid for a cheap stay where everything costs extra. It was the first time I've heard of paying extra for early check-in. Eventually, the staff let us check in early when they saw we weren't going to pay. Some staff members were enthusiastic, others were just okay. At the Indigo restaurant, the server rushed us to pay our bill even though it was still during working hours. The kids' play area only allows one adult and one child, which isn't very family-friendly. What, is one parent supposed to sit outside while the other takes the child in? The breakfast tasted alright, but the variety was very limited. Even though there were available tables, the staff wouldn't let us sit there, insisting we sit at a further table, presumably so as not to disturb the foreign guests next to us. Sigh. Overall, it was an okay trip with the kids, but I won't choose this place for a vacation again.
Check in was a breeze. Very thoughtful service by staff to plan the decor and celebration of our Anniversary! This is what truly stands out for Swiss-Bel as compared to other big & new hotels in Batam, though the hotel is much older and needs some refurbishment especially the toilet with some unpleasant smells. Food buffet is not bad and rather delicious but variety across days can be further improved and they can consider serving Indomie for breakfast buffet! Kudos once again to the thoughtfulness of the customer service enjoyed in our stay!
I recently stayed at Harris Hotel Batam and was thoroughly impressed by my experience. The hotel's location is simply outstanding—situated right next to the Batam Center Ferry Terminal, it’s incredibly convenient for travelers, especially those arriving from Singapore. I appreciated how easy it was to check in and head directly to my room without any hassle.
One of the highlights of my stay was the excellent sea view from my room. Waking up to the sight of the water was refreshing and set a lovely tone for each day. Additionally, being directly opposite Mega Mall was a delightful bonus. With a plethora of dining and shopping options just a short walk away, I had plenty to explore, from local eateries to international food chains.
The international breakfast spread at the hotel was impressive, featuring a wide array of dishes including delicious local Indonesian options as well as familiar Western choices. Whether it was the mouthwatering nasi goreng or the variety of fresh fruits available, I loved starting my day with such a hearty meal.
I also want to commend the hotel staff for their friendliness and attentiveness. I requested a non-smoking, quiet room upon check-in, and they went out of their way to accommodate my needs, ensuring that my stay was as comfortable as possible. Their warm service certainly enhanced the experience.
While my room was slightly dated, it was generally clean, and the comfortable bed made for restful nights. The slight age of the furnishings didn’t detract from my overall satisfaction with the stay.
In summary, Harris Hotel Batam strikes a perfect balance between convenience, comfort, and hospitality. The strategic location, scenic views, excellent breakfast, and responsive staff make it a solid choice for anyone visiting Batam. I would not hesitate to recommend it and look forward to returning in the future!
My gf and me stayed here for our Batam trip last weekend. When we first entered our non-smoking room, there was a twinge of vape smell lingering in the air.
The room was well spaced out with many useful amenities such as furniture, drinking water, kettle, etc. I find the wall shelf by the TV a nice and useful addition. Our TV doesn’t have Netflix but carry some local channels as well as CNA. Although the few electrical sockets in the room are universal adaptors, they feel a bit loose when plugged in. Aircon and bathroom amenities such as water pressure and hot shower all work smoothly.
Our window overlooks the immediate neighbourhood and the room is relatively quiet throughout the stay. Sadly, I didn’t use their Wifi so can’t really comment on that. The hotel’s breakfast buffet had limited variety but the quality was good. The hotel is also at a convenient location within walking distance of two big malls, so plenty of food and entertainment!
All the staff we encountered in this hotel was super friendly and helpful. We only had one keycard given to us during check-in so when I was accidentally stuck downstairs without a card, the lady at the concierge quickly made me a new one so I could get back to my room. The day after checking out of the hotel, I realised I lost my beloved earpods and whatsapp-ed the hotel in the slim hope of finding it back. Within minutes, I got a message from the concierge, accompanied with a picture of my lost item! I shall definitely return to stay with them again very soon ^^
Pls be mindful Hotel require deposit 100k IDR. When check out, the hotel will check the room first before u get your deposit back. Need to wait around 10mins. Can say cheap rate hotel with 2 breakfast just around rm125 per night. I chose this hotel bcos i arrived Batam night time, so no need fancy hotel hehe. The hotel is not shoplot hotel, the whole building is the hotel. At night quite noisy, not sure why, maybe there’s event at the ballroom hotel. The toilet room is average (quite smelly maybe bcos old hotel), not suitable for fussy person. Same goes to the bed and bed sheet. But the room is so spacious and have kiblat sign (for muslim prayer). Breakfast spread also average, suitable if you not eat much. But still have egg station. Nasi goreng, meehon goreng, cereals, also have. Overall still ok if you stay 1 night.
Very good location, just next to Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall. The customer service is just fantastic! We asked for just an additional mineral water, and the cleaner offered 2 instead and still asked if this was enough. Wonderful service. We are repeated customers and will still keep coming back.

Very Good
SShanellejjqFrom the check in, to our check out the staff around the resort were all very helpful and smiley. They provided us with helpful advice and recommended activities to do in the resort!
Rooms were nice and clean as well and spacious. We also visited the massage in the resort and it was a really good experience!
Lots of things to do around the resort even for adults, we did archery and the instructors were very encouraging and skilled in guiding first timers!
AAnonymous UserGood location with many food options nearby. Walking distance to Nagoya Hill Mall. Breakfast is superb, delicious local tastes. The room is clean but lacks amenities, especially hand towels and hairdryers.
GGoh Zhe LiangWonderful place for family with kids. The front desk will send whatsapp of their activity brochures, both paying and complimentary activities where you can make reservations. Guests have 20% discount as the treasure Bay is also open to outside. You can also call the buggy to pick up from your tent and you can approach the concierge to arrange for activities outside the resort, like booking taxi to shopping mall or the mangrove restaurant which the food was wonderful! You can also book for a private bbq session at your tent from the resort restaurant but best to book a day before.
AAnonymous UserSaw some negative review from Google or Trip.com, but I still decided to choose for this resort because of the locations. Also, that after spoke with the driver and I know that the view of the beach of this resort is actually the best one in bintan. It’s quite expensive to eat inside the resort, especially the Indian food at night. I went to the Chinese restaurant, but we didn’t order the seafood. The waiter is very helpful and very nice and polite. We order for the medium person, but he advised us not to choose that because the portion is really big.
DDr. ErikI loved Batam View so much! I'll be honest, I wanted to stay at Turi Resort, where I normally stay, but they were fully booked. So I tried Batam View, and I was flabbergasted. I had a room in the main building with sea view, and it was stunning. The rooms have been renovated and are clean, modern, comfortable. The hotel's beach and pool are both amazing, and I was so happy to find a really deep pool (rare in Asia), plus a very clean beach. I had an unforgettable dinner at the beach, too. The staff are universally lovely, attentive and professional! I saw the villas and definitely want to stay there next time! I spent a lovely 6 nights there and cannot wait to return!
YYANGSONGAn Unforgettable Stay at The Sanchaya Bintan – A True Paradise!
Our recent vacation at The Sanchaya, Bintan was nothing short of fantastic and excellent. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt the touch of luxury and care that defines this exquisite resort.
A special mention must go to the superb team led by Greg Williams, whose attention to detail and commitment to excellence were evident throughout our stay. Under his leadership, everything ran seamlessly, and every guest was treated with exceptional hospitality.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Yani from Guest Relations, who ensured our every need was anticipated and met with grace and professionalism. Her warm demeanor and thoughtful gestures truly made us feel at home.
A huge appreciation as well to Joanne from the F&B team, whose impeccable service and cheerful personality enhanced every dining experience. She made each meal a pleasure, going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.
And of course, our sincere thanks to Chef Budi, whose culinary creations were absolutely divine. Each dish was a masterpiece – a perfect blend of flavors, presentation, and freshness. He made dining at The Sanchaya not just a meal, but a memorable experience.
This trip has created remarkable memories that we will cherish for a long time. The Sanchaya is not just a beautiful destination – it’s the people who make it truly special...

Ppeipei anThe room was great and the sea view was beautiful, with good service all around. Although there was a minor hiccup during check-in (the air conditioning was broken), the maintenance staff tried their best to fix it, and housekeeping called several times to check if the AC was working properly. I was very satisfied with how this was handled.
The only downside is that there's only one restaurant. Personally, I think the restaurant's view is unbeatable, and the food quality is above average. However, the dinner buffet wasn't particularly good; ordering à la carte would have been better.
Also, the cleanliness of the cups in the room needs improvement, and there was quite a bit of dust in the bathtub on the balcony.
LLi€w.Staying in Cassia Bintan was the perfect sanctuary I needed to recharge and getaway from the busy city life. This 'me-time' was exactly what I needed to find my peace again.
The hospitality started the moment I arrived—I was greeted by Arya at the counter, who was incredibly helpful and kind. His warm welcome immediately put me at ease as a solo traveller. I truly appreciated the shuttle bus provided by Cassia from the ferry terminal; it felt very safe and organized, which is so important for solo female travellers.
The room itself was a dream. I loved the blue colour of the room. This soothing blue wall creates a calm space where I can truly relax. It's spacious and clean. My favourite spot was the well-equipped kitchenette and the nice private balcony; the air felt so clean and fresh, and it was such a serene place for me to sit and do my painting.
I love the sea so much, and the serene beach was so therapeutic. The pristine white sand and the shimmering turquoise blue sea were breathtaking. Being able to stroll along the shore every single day while listening to the gentle sea waves was the perfect way to clear my mind. I also loved spending time at Vista—sipping on their refreshing lime juice while soaking in the stunning sea view was pure bliss.
The food at Lotus Cafe was delicious, and the staff always greeted me with a warm smile. Having the market 23 nearby was also so convenient for snacks and essentials. If you’re a mum looking for a safe, beautiful, and welcoming place to find some peace by the water, this is it. A heartfelt thank you to Arya and the whole team!
