eSIM is very convenient to use. It's pre-installed in Thailand by pressing a button in the Trip app. It works with my iPhone 14 Pro. Once I arrive in Japan, I just turn it on and it's ready to go. The speed is decent, although it might load a bit slow in crowded areas. It's very cheap; a 7-day, 10GB plan costs 150 baht. You can check your usage through the Trip app.

The network worked well without any problems. There might be some areas outside the city, in the mountains, or where there's no signal on the subway. I recommend installing it in advance so you can start using it as soon as you land at your destination airport. I really liked it; it's convenient and fast, no need to change SIM cards, just press install and it's ready to use.
