This was our second stay at the hotel, and the experience was just okay. The kids’ pool and city view were nice, but the service was poor. We had a frightening experience when we were stuck in the lift for 25–30 minutes. The lift seems old and not well maintained. I hope the hotel takes this seriously and ensures guest safety so others do not face the same situation. We also requested a small anniversary gesture—a heart towel design on the bed—a week before check-in, but it was not arranged due to a lack of staff. This was disappointing, as the request was made well in advance.

We had such a pleasant family getaway at Colmar Tropicale with our two little ones. The whole experience was smooth and enjoyable from the moment we checked in. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when it came to assisting us with bags and stroller access — something we truly appreciate as parents of two babies! The French-inspired village is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for slow family walks and photos. Our room was clean, spacious enough for the babies’ essentials, and comfortable for all of us. We also loved how calm the environment was, making nap times easy.

I had the opportunity to stay at Zenith Kuantan, and overall, it offers a comfortable and pleasant experience suitable for all types of travellers, especially families. 🧼 Cleanliness – 4/5 (Good) The rooms and hotel areas are well-maintained, clean, and tidy. Although there is some room for minor improvements, the overall cleanliness standard is still solid and comfortable. 📍 Location – 5/5 (Excellent) The hotel’s location is its biggest strength. Situated in a strategic area close to the city centre, shopping malls, and plenty of dining options, it’s perfect for guests who want easy access to various attractions and amenities. 👨💼 Service – 4/5 (Good) The hotel staff are friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Check-in and check-out processes are smooth. While response times could be slightly improved, the overall service quality is good and satisfactory. 🏊♂️ Amenities – 4/5 (Good) The facilities—including the swimming pool, gym, and other amenities—are in good condition and well-maintained. Families will appreciate the available features. Still, there is some potential for upgrades to enhance the overall experience. ⸻ 🎯 Overall Verdict Zenith Kuantan is a solid hotel choice with an excellent location, good service, and a clean, comfortable environment. It suits families, couples, and solo travellers who want a balanced stay with easy access to the city. If you’re looking for a well-equipped hotel in a convenient location, Zenith Kuantan is definitely worth considering.

The Chateau is a family friendly resort, it is also a great place for events like weddings or celebration. When you arrive to the chateau, it feels as if you were in a fairy tale, castle in the woods. The condition and maintenance of the chateau is awesome, very cozy yet grand at the same time. The staff are very friendly and welcoming to their guests, providing top notch service. There are many different locations to explore and activities to do around the facilities, which make the stay a very eye opening and entertaining one. The room was beautiful, interior design to perfection, very comfy and clean, definitely had a good rest. The food provided at the chateau, one mouth watering meal, it definitely satisfied our taste buds. Overall the experience at this hotel was fantastic, one that I would recommend to many. I would definitely come back again in the future.

The room was clean and the location is great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet had a lot of variety, though the taste was just average. Overall, it’s a nice place for quality time and you can definitely spend the whole day at the hotel.

We chose Japamala Tioman for our wedding anniversary and this boutique resort did not disappoint. Service was impeccable from the time we were picked up at the ferry terminal at Kampung Genting until the time we left. Kudos to the manger Kenny and his team for their hospitality in making our anniversary memorable. Food was in general above average (dessert was fantastic) and some dishes were a bit salty as we don’t consume too salty food in our diet. We gave feedback and to our surprise the staff took it seriously as our subsequent dishes served weren’t as salty. The rooms are clean and the sea view fantastic, allowing us to take in the magnificent sunset views every evening. Not much to do, as this resort is more for guest to disconnect. Hiking to Batu Permata and to Kampung Genting was doable. Canoeing and snorkelling by the resort was great. Overall we enjoyed our stay there. Thanks Japamala!

The location is great, next to genting Highland, cost is much much cheaper than hotel at Genting Highland. Except that you have to pay to take shuttle bus to genting Highland, cleanliness of hotel room was great, value for money for two room level 26 one room view genting ,one room view building The self check-in process is quick (with staff available and on standby to assist you), and no deposit is required. Finding the check-in reception and your room might be a bit challenging, so here’s my advice with pictures attached,After passing the guard house, you’ll see a signboard for the hotel lobby. Don’t park your car yet! Walk straight ahead following the hotel lobby signboard towards Tower 2

I stayed 1 night at Grand Darul Makmur Hotel Kuantan during a business trip. The hotel and room size are quite spacious, which was comfortable. The room does look a little old, but overall still fine for a short stay. Breakfast buffet starts at 7am with plenty of food choices, though the taste was just average. By the way, even if you book and pay through Trip.com, you’ll still need to pay a small tax directly to the hotel — in my case, it was RM3. Overall, a decent stay for business purposes.

The location quite strategic, 5-10minutes driving from first world genting. How ever, for my stay, i think the water heater got problem. I shower with very cold water day and night even i’m not switch off the water heater suis. Another thing is our airconditioner remote bettry was finish. We cannot control the temperature that time. Overall the room was nice view and comfort.

MmangosellerI stayed at Crockfords Hotel Genting in early October 2025 and was genuinely disappointed by the level of service — especially for a hotel that claims to be Malaysia’s leading luxury property. On 3 October, I approached the concierge Duty Manager around 9:40am regarding the hotel Wi-Fi, which kept showing an “invalid credentials” error. Instead of taking the initiative to verify the problem — which turned out to be something as simple as incorrect login details given at check-in — he insisted that the IT team would need to come into my room to fix it. Later in the day, another staff member resolved the issue within minutes by simply checking the credentials. It’s baffling how the Duty Manager couldn’t do something that basic. Throughout my stay, I also noticed that many of the staff seemed lost and unsure of how to handle simple situations — almost like the blind leading the blind. There was a clear lack of coordination and communication among them. The breakfast experience was another major letdown. I had breakfast there for three consecutive days, and throughout, the food was never hot — the noodles in soup were the only consistently warm item served. To make matters worse, the staff did not communicate properly among themselves. On one morning, we were told to wait while a table by the window was being cleared for us. After waiting a good five minutes, another group of guests was allowed to take the exact table we were waiting for. The explanation given was simply that “the other guests wanted the table.” Completely unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed calibre. The only saving grace was the Duty Manager working on 5 Oct and overseeing the breakfast buffet, who was attentive, proactive, and took the initiative to check if guests needed drinks or assistance. His professionalism truly stood out amidst the confusion elsewhere. For a hotel that boasts winning the Forbes Travel Guide 5-Star Award seven years in a row, this experience was frankly a joke. The gap between Crockfords’ reputation and its actual service standards is staggering. Truly disappointing and nowhere near what one would expect from a so-called luxury hotel. PS: At least the view was great.

VVieson HyLobby has a small slide and my kids really enjoyed it. The six-person room is quite spacious, quiet (stayed on Level 2), and cold enough without turning on the air-con. Early check-in was allowed with a small fee and checkout was smooth. Location is great if you’re going to Arena of Stars, but it’s about a 15–20 minute walk to SkyAvenue. Not so good: receptionist wasn’t very friendly. Parking is limited, no clear pedestrian walkway, and it only accepts TnG or Genting card, but there’s no reload kiosk in the hotel. No water fountain and only small bottled water provided with limited refills. Hair dryer cuts off when using high heat. Room design looks fun, but there’s no real sofa, only two stools, which isn’t very practical.

GGuest Userhad a pleasant stay overall, but the pool could definitely be improved. When we arrived, the staff were still in the middle of cleaning the pool. Even after they were done, the water was still a bit cloudy and didn’t look fully clean. Hopefully the hotel can maintain the pool better because everything else about the stay was good

TTraveller354Beautiful resort that really makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. The grounds are well maintained and really pretty, the huts are a bit plain, but have what you need. The rooms do get really warm which I feel could be solved by blocking off the high roof. This would make it easier to clean and make the room a bit smaller for the small air con unit to cool down. We also had a double hut that connected to another one with a thin door which didn’t lock. Great for families travelling together, but as we did not know the people staying in the other hut, we would have liked the option to lock the door. The walls are also really thin so we sometimes heard a bit more than what we wanted to hear. Some of the activities are incredible! Highly recommend the night jungle walk. The guides are really knowledgeable and managed to spot tiny (and sometimes not so tiny) creepy crawlers for us to see. The day jungle walk was fun and not too hard. “Easy” jungle hiking. The boat trip to Lata Berkoh was a waste of time. The boat trip itself is fine, but you get out to look at a big tree, then again at a “fish sanctuary” which is really just a few empty buildings and a guy selling fish food in recycled bottles. You then feed the fish in the river. Finally, the swimming spot is just a different part of the dirty river, with conflicting signs which state it is both safe and unsafe to swim. The night boat tour was ok. The guides really try to find things for you to see, but it really depends on which animals are out and about. So all in all, good experience, but recommend looking outside the resort for things to do during the day, we mainly just sat around until the next activity we had booked as it was too hot to do anything and many of the trails were too long to do in between min 3-5km. Also: note you cannot get to the resort by car! You need to leave it in the parking and take a boat (1RM per passenger) to get to the resort. Not bad, just not something we knew and it took us a while to figure it out in the dark. Food was ok

MMarina YoshiWe had a lovely one-night stay at Swiss-Garden Beach Resort on a last-minute, impromptu trip with my husband and our two kids. Even though it was short, it was exactly what we needed—a quick reset by the beach. The resort is spacious, family-friendly, and very relaxing. The kids enjoyed the open areas and beach vibes, while we appreciated the calm atmosphere and comfortable room. The staff were friendly and accommodating despite our last-minute booking, which made the experience even better. Overall, it was a simple but meaningful getaway. Definitely a great option for families looking for a short escape without too much planning.
