"1. To make the stay best decide if you’re driving or using a taxi . If you drive be sure to check in first then park in front of the hotel unpack then park in the weworks parking . Works best with small cars big cars are hard to park there .  2. The rooms are like the luxury hotels in Japan . All iPad controlled from tv , lights , to blinds . 7/11 , grocery stores, gyms , luxury restaurants and bars even a bus stop all literally less than a few steps away. Very clean and very nice staff  .  I would stay again but just chose to park else where when going ."

"This place is not really a hotel. It gives off more of a motel vibe. The building is heavily outdated, with crumbling walls and stains. Our room was average. Bed was comfortable and clean. Our room had a little bit of trash in it (candy wrappers, etc). The toilet did not flush for me and there was peeling wall paper in the bathroom. Shower temperature was poor and was only lukewarm at best. I most likely will not stay here again. The facilities need a huge update."

The Holiday Inn AUSTIN-TOWN LAKE by IHG is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 5km from Austin Station and 16km from Austin–Bergstrom International Airport. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Guests of this Austin hotel can make use of the parking facilities. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service.

"Great location, but rooms felt a bit gloomy The hotel is in a really convenient spot — right by the lake and close to downtown, which made it easy to get around and explore Austin. That said, the room we had was a bit of a letdown. It was pretty small and didn’t get much natural light, so it felt kind of dark and cramped. Not terrible, but not the most comfortable for hanging out. Still, if you're mostly out and about and just need a place to sleep, the location makes it worth considering."

Renovated in 2023, the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Austin Airport is a great choice for accommodation in Austin. "Very functional hotel with basic breakfast and a nice quiet park nearby, 20 minutes from Downtown Austin. I stayed in both a basic room with a queen bed, and a suite (they turned out to be identical), around the Texas Eclipse in April 2024. Pros: * Even the most basic room is very functional: desk and ergonomic chair for computer work, mini-fridge, microwave, couch, comfortable bed * Basic breakfast until 9am: microwaveable burritos and biscuits, hard boiled eggs, milk and cereal, apples, oranges, coffee, juice * Very helpful staff (held onto my luggage, received packages, printed labels, extended my reservation several times) * Nice quiet park to walk or jog in, 3 minutes away by foot (the MetCenter Hike & Bike trail). Hardly anybody there every time I went. * Small fitness room with 3 cardio machines * $8 shuttle service to the airport, plus free pickup from the airport * The elevator now works Cons: * The WiFi was extremely fast in the lobby, but on the 3rd floor - unstable, and would disconnect briefly several times per hour. Like most other hotels, WiFi also kicks you out 2+ times a day, and you have to login (with the same password). I don't really get the point of this, and if the logout happens during a video call, you're screwed until you reconnect 💥, OR if you're on your phone, it goes on data and chews up bandwidth to handle the video. Microtel, please stop this dumb practice. * The TV's WiFi worked only on day one (so other devices could connect and cast to it), and never since then. * The area doesn't have anything interesting within a 5-minute walk, but is a ~15-minute Uber ride to downtown Austin. Ubers take ~5 minutes to arrive. So consider 20 minutes to get to Downtown. * Walls aren't the thickest so I could hear the neighbors bumping things into them, but overall both rooms were quiet. * The mattress was a tiny bit squeaky * Breakfast ends at 9am. Other places have breakfast until 10am. * The suite may be slightly bigger but I didn't see ANY advantage vs. the basic room. Really not worth the price difference. Exactly the same layout and furniture. Not sure why they charge more for it."

"The hotel is very close to the lively sixth street Bar Street in the city center. The room is very clean and very spacious. The large suite has two sinks and toilets. The shower water pressure is very strong. There is a bathtub. The bed is not very good. The music is particularly noisy at night. The sound is not good. The breakfast is very rich. The parking fee is very good. High front desk service is average"

JJayshi1211I recently stayed at the EVEN Hotel Austin Downtown near the Domain, and it was a fantastic experience! The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and major highways. Whether you're here for business or leisure, everything you need is just minutes away. The room was spacious, clean, and designed for comfort. The bed was exceptionally cozy, and I loved the modern, wellness-focused amenities, like in-room workout equipment. The overall vibe was refreshing and relaxing. One of the best parts? The value for money is outstanding. Compared to other hotels in the area, EVEN Hotel offers great rates without sacrificing quality. Plus, the parking lot is huge—no stressful circling for a spot, which is a rare perk in downtown areas. If you’re looking for a convenient, comfortable, and reasonably priced stay in Austin, I highly recommend EVEN Hotel!

GGuest UserPerfect!! New and SPOTLESS room. Yes, a little small for American standards but more than enough for a short stay. Good breakfast, with healthy options (fruit, good yogurt, omelettes)… my husband would have liked more options but I had to remember him that it’s a 2-star hotel. It did not seem like that, but above 😊 Body soap, shampoo, condicioning and body cream. The only thing that I missed was a hairdryer… I have brought one just in case from some others 2-star hotels reviews. I didn’t ask but I am pretty sure that they would have provided one at your request. The room also had an iron & iron table. Very kind personnel. And… kids stay for free!! We are a family of three but even better deal for a family of four!! Close to the highway, 15-20 min driving to Capitol and downtown… and perfect location to explore the sorroundings!!

GGuest UserConsistently lovely hotel with consistently good service. The juevos rancheros I ordered and had delivered to my room were incredibly good! And the coffee was nice and strong ….. glad I asked for extra cream and sugars ! Great location near the Arboretum stores and shops at the Domain . Also close to Whole Foods, H‑E‑B grocery store, Gateway movie theater, and lots of good restaurants, many within walking distance.. Large rooms, bathroom stocked with Aveda products. (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap for hands) was a very nice touch! The only thing I didn’t like was they have recently started charging for self parking in their uncovered lot ….. I paid $20 on 1/31/24. I don’t like that at all. Just put the price in your room rate and say free parking!

EExpatCambria is a newer hotel amidst the redevelopment projects taking place near Rainey Street, a historic landmark of homes turned into entertainment venues. Cambria is opposite side of the spectrum with innovative decor and relaxation. Note that parking costs 49USD per day with valet access only. We chose not to rent a car based on our needs in Austin. Came to visit my son and his family with my eldest son, so we wanted to have some options near nightlife activities. Local drivers shared info on the changes made to the nearby historic street, and staff was friendly with all needs. The water statiins were a plus. Where I think Cambria can improve is in the price of the rooms, menu items and operation hours of their lobby bar/roof bar since staff was short during our stay. Walking to the entertainment street required the back alley short trek, and that aspect took away from the lush atmosphere of the hotel. Grafitti and Limestone hotel venues can easily adjust their marketung strategies towards in-house entertainment along with the Valet arrangement to flow more smoothly and affordably. It’s a lovely hotel which can become full circle staycation with a few adjustments regarding that aspect. New business developments working alongside grass roots businesses is key to smooth changes for both visitors and long-time locals. The pool atmosphere is great, the gym is clean, and the first floor waiting area an easy meeting spot.

JJasper LoOur experience was solid. Here are my pros and cons Pros: The pricing was fair. Rooms, for the most part, are clean and maintained. Rooms are spacious. The position of the aircon is good, doesn't blow straight at you like some other places. The Room didn't smell. Both the shower and sink have good water pressure. The service was solid, the lady we met was welcoming and she got straight to the point. Rooms are equipped with a microwave and fridge which is convenient. The beds are spacious and the mattress is supportive. Cons. The carpet in the room as well as the tiles in the bathroom are a bit sticky. Not sure if that's due to the high moisture or if they are not cleaned well. Some might find it nasty. The gym only has a cable machine which is alright but some more equipment would have been much better. They advertise saying they have a great breakfast however it isn't anything crazy. Just some eggs, waffles that you have to make yourself, and some coffee. Not much variety overall. This is nitpicky, but the furniture is a bit old and could use some polish/maintenance. The biggest con for me was the location, its located right beside the frontage road which is in theory good, but during rush hour the road becomes completely jammed with cars. Especially at the time of writing this review because there is a lot of construction going on nearby so driving in and out of the residence can be dangerous and annoying. Overall: This place is great for staying a couple nights on a short trip however I wouldn't recommend staying here long term. Its safe and has mostly everything you need.

GGuest UserThis is my go to when I want to stay in NW Austin. Plenty of free parking in hotel lot. Easy friendly check in. Drink coupons for free happy hour! Beautiful indoor atrium. Elevators could be a little faster or they need to always run both. Rooms are spacious and have a separate living area , kitchenette with small refrigerator, coffee service, and microwave. Bathtubs need some TLC attention or need to be replaced with walk-in showers. Terrific complimentary made to order breakfast is my favorite in Austin. This is my home away from home.

GGwenyvere9Check-in was a breeze and Veronica at the front desk was very pleasant. Once in the room, because I cleaned up water spilt on the floor, I found the white toilet paper turned absolutely black AND with ***** hairs on it to boot. All this within 1sq ft. I called the lobby and asked how often the floors were mopped. I was told “every day.” I related what I had found to the contrary and was asked if I wished to change rooms to which I said “yes!”. When I went down to retrieve the new key, I took the wadded toilet paper with me and she took a picture of it before throwing it in the garbage! There were two very large, well lit, vending machines in a hallway off the main lobby, and the ice machine was in good working order and the ice, clean and solidly frozen. I decided I was too tired to check and see if the new rooms’ floor was dirty or not so I proceeded to not ever walk on the floor with my bare feet. The day manager, Mari, was very nice and the coffee was hot fresh out of the thermos on the side table…hot water and tea bags also available. If you detest “sweet ‘n low” bring your own natural sugar. I ran into the head of housekeeping and happened to mention how disgustingly dirty the floors were in my first room, and I informed her that the night manager had taken a picture of what I had wiped up on my piece of toilet paper and she said she would go and ask to see it. I later learned that Mayra had indeed done so. So that was good attention to detail. Everything in the room worked fine including the remote and TV, the microwave was spotless and looked brand new and it even had a childproof lock on it for those families traveling with curious offspring that haven’t internalized the meaning of “NO” yet 😵💫. The refrigerator was spotless and new looking as well. WiFi was strong and reliable. I walked by the pool, which I noticed was closed (understandable for this time of year!). It was full of water, but I must say that it looked the equivalent of a Louisiana swamp and I was prepared to see a ‘gator come climbing up those darkened, slimy stairs at any point in time.😆 The parking lot at night is VERY well lit around the entire property which is a very welcome sight! Being right off the interstate doesn’t provide for any exciting venues to walk to but there IS a wonderful grocery store (HEB) .7miles away straight down Rundeburg on Lamar/Rundeburg. Other than that there are a plethora of food trucks doling out South American ‘cuisine’ just yards from the front of the hotel as well as across the street. I didn’t try any of them so cannot opine. I hope this was worth the read, if indeed you got this far! Cheers!🥂
