Middlebury Inn

"It's a wonderful place, a preserved building that is very clean, at a very central location in Middlebury. The price was excellent, and the parking was very convenient. We couldn't get the wi-fi to work which was a pain given that only Verizon works here, and we didn't have hotspots. Very friendly staff, both the female receptionist during checkout and the gentleman during checkin, with his excellent recommendations. But: Be careful with rooms 126-129, they need a good flight of stairs, which was difficult for us, as we were coming from a big road-trip and had many bags. Perhaps the reception should make this clear during the check-in process, we would be very happy to change rooms, but it was too late. Soundproofing is not the best, but I am not complaining as the building is preserved and they can't do much. Finally, a small complaint is that there is no desk to do some work in the room, forcing us to go to cafes.   All in all, I honestly think this hotel is terrific if you are visiting Middlebury and I would 100% recommend it for a ski trip or a tour of the college."

"I had a lovely time staying at this Inn. The morning breakfasts were delicious. I found the owners delightful people who made sure I was comfortable. When they saw that the room I had been given a might cramped for a large man, they moved me into a larger room at no cost. That was very thoughtful. Everything was in good running order and the price was reasonable. I will be staying there again if I visit the area."
