"The front desk upgraded my room, and I could enjoy the hot spring on the balcony while admiring Qixianling Mountain in the distance. The room was very spacious, and the balcony was also large. The surroundings were quiet, making it perfect for a relaxing vacation. The breakfast was quite rich, and on a not-too-hot day, you could eat breakfast on the outdoor terrace, breathing in the fresh air and looking at Qixianling Mountain. The outdoor hot spring was also great and very comfortable. It was really refreshing to soak in it after hiking. This is the most comfortable hotel I've stayed at in the Baoting area so far."

"First, the positives: 1. The resort grounds are lovely, with high tree coverage and plenty of oxygen, perfect for morning and evening strolls. The private hot spring in the room was also a nice touch. 2. Room service was incredibly fast, usually delivering items within about five minutes. 3. The shuttle bus was very prompt, and the concierge staff were excellent, explaining the hotel's restaurants and pool locations during check-in. Now, the negatives: 1. Upon entering the room, the floor was covered in hair. It was clear it hadn't been vacuumed or mopped. I called housekeeping, and an attendant came to sweep, but the hygiene was truly concerning and quite off-putting. I was too tired to bother changing rooms after a long day. 2. Can you believe a five-star hotel offers a 'wake-up service' at midnight? Around 1-2 AM, I was already asleep when the room phone suddenly rang, scaring me half to death. When I answered, the front desk claimed a downstairs guest complained about us being noisy and asked us to keep it down. I was shocked! We were asleep at the time, so how could we be noisy? Was the hotel hallucinating or was the downstairs guest? Why didn't the hotel send security or other staff to verify the complaint before directly calling guests in the middle of the night to accuse them? I couldn't sleep well after that – it was truly bizarre! 3. At 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM, there was a knocking sound, either from outside or somewhere else. After finally falling asleep very late due to the scare, I was woken up twice by the noise early in the morning. I gave up trying to sleep and got up early for breakfast. Feeling quite angry, I reported these issues to Trip.com customer service, who helped me arrange a 2 PM late check-out. (I had tried calling the front desk first, but the line was constantly busy, so I contacted Trip.com). I planned to go back and rest after breakfast, as I hadn't slept all night and had no energy. Shortly after, the hotel's lobby manager called to inquire about the situation. I explained everything, and the manager apologized, offering two coconuts upon check-out, which I politely declined. I honestly didn't know what to say... 4. The air conditioning in the room was completely useless. It didn't cool at all. Setting it to 16 degrees Celsius in cooling mode had no effect. Fortunately, Baoting's weather was relatively cool, and there was a fan in the room, which made it barely tolerable. There was simply no other solution. 5. The front desk told me the room included cocktails to be redeemed at the infinity pool. However, upon arriving at the infinity pool, I was told I needed a voucher. I asked if they could check my order or registration, but they insisted I had to go back and get a physical voucher. I don't understand why they're so inflexible and resistant to change, especially when many hotels use electronic vouchers. Why are they still using paper vouchers here? For nearly 700 RMB during the off-season, many hot spring pools were closed, the room hygiene was questionable, and the service quality was poor. Besides the hot springs themselves, I didn't feel any other benefit. I came for a relaxing vacation but left feeling extremely tired and ripped off. I hope the hotel seriously re-evaluates and improves its service and hygiene quality soon!"

Naxiangshan Rainforest Resort Hotel (Baoting Yanoda Store)
"The villas are spacious and comfortable, but a bit outdated especially on the terrace. The outside swimming pool was great with a nice view. Breakfast was delicious and abundant, changing every day which is a plus. The staff was simply great, responsive and helpful . As a downside, is hard to get a Didi taxi at the hotel, you might need to get to the main entrance on the street (but the staff helped on that issue as well)."

"The hotel is very good! Convenient location, located near the county seat of Baoting, you can see Qixianling in the room! The hotel is in a very good environment in a community, the swimming pool is all available, you can enter by swiping your room card! The downside is that our room has two bathrooms, but the cleaning staff sometimes does not fill two pieces of soap, and there is a piece of soap. Overall, this is a very recommended hotel!"
