"It was a great inn! It's far from the main city, so there aren't many choices such as supermarkets and restaurants, but it was quiet and nice. You can go to the supermarket by bicycle that you can rent for free or go around the lake. The number of bicycles is enough, but if I was small, I could not get my feet, and I was 155 cm, and I was barely able to get one leg. We stayed in a single room with a balcony. You can't see the view when you lie down on the bed, but you can see a great view from the balcony. It's not very soundproof, probably because it's an old building, but I think there were many calmers. The view of the lake looked more beautiful than the main side. It was great to have a sauna and pool for free. The lounge space in the basement was a perfect view and I was able to relax here before check-in. Breakfast was not a buffet but an order and was very delicious."

The bathroom exhaust fan is automatic, so it makes a slight noise constantly."

The owner even made dinner reservations for us elsewhere for that evening since they weren't open on Sunday. We did eat there the following evening and the food was great! Beautiful, charming property. Very quiet. I loved being away from the crowds as this hotel is in a more residential area but just a short downhill walk to lakeside and the main tourist areas."

"We recently returned from a 4 night stay at Veldes B&B and had a wonderful time! We had a triple panoramic room - modern bathroom, plenty of room, 3 x comfy beds and a balcony. The whole building is fabulous - modern but in keeping with the environment with wood and alpine decor. Breakfast was exceptional. Plenty of choice and a lovely welcome from Christina each morning. We found the owners Robert and Nataša to be very friendly and helpful, providing valuable advice and tips on the local area. It’s about a 20 min walk into town or the lake, which we found no problem (although there is also a bus) and walking distance to the Vintgar Gorge carpark where the shuttle picks you up. We could definitely have stayed longer! Key highlights for us were walking round Lake Bled (lots of photo stops), Ojstrica viewpoint, a morning visit to Lake Bohinj, half day in Ljubljana, Vintgar Gorge and time at the lake swimming and paddle boarding. All in all, a fantastic stay. I have already recommended Veldes to friends and would certainly stay again. An amazing first visit to a Slovenia and Lake Bled. Thank you!"

"My experience at this hotel was consistently let down by one waitress in the restaurant. When I politely asked whether a seat was taken, her response made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Every hotel operates differently, and I believe a staff member's role is to guide guests with patience rather than assume that the hotel's specific procedures are obvious to everyone. Throughout my stay, whenever she served me, she did so with a clear lack of enthusiasm and a poor attitude. I mentioned this to the reception team, who shared they were already aware of concerns about her service. Unfortunately, I was unable to get her name, but she is a thin, middle-aged woman with bluish/grayish eyes and graying hair. This feedback is directed only at this one individual and is not meant to reflect poorly on the rest of the staff. This is such a nice hotel, and it deserves a well-trained team. I hope management can provide her with additional training to help her meet the standards that the property deserves. On the positive side, the hotel is really pretty and unique, with a great location and a varied, generous breakfast. I checked in on August 8th and arrived around 11 am; I was very grateful that my room was already ready — a truly kind gesture."

"The hotel has a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding nature, and the location is absolutely wonderful. I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the scenery. However, I was quite disappointed that bathrobes were available only for an additional charge. Considering that the hotel is already quite expensive, I would have expected them to be included in the room rate."
