The Inn at the Tides ★★

"Location was great, though walking anywhere is limited (not really sidewalks as the road is the highway). The resort was beautiful, but our room had a tiny sliver of view, mostly covered by unattractive shrubs (See pics-literally the view from 1003. Can you even find the sea? ). My elderly father was next door in 1005, and his view was slightly better but still super disappointing based on our expectations from the pictures on the website. The outdoor furniture was deeply uncomfortable and had no cushioning, which ****** because the weather was perfect. 1003 and 1005 also suffer from being above the pool. We had to listen to kids scream all afternoon and up until 11:00pm on Sat night (pool closes then), which was an absolute nightmare. Gah-why would ANY resort put guests without kids in rooms facing where kids will obviously be? We had horrible guests above us, and their kid jumped/ran nonstop for about 5 hours Sunday. We finally called front desk around 10:30pm Sunday night to call them and tell them to stfu. My daughter and I use gyms everywhere we stay, so the fact that the treadmill was broken was another letdown. There isn’t much in the gym, but we did appreciate that it existed. Just VERY expensive for the experience. The resort, while beautiful, is old and dated, so it’s not what we were expecting for the cost (Chicken and veggies from room service is 40USD?!?). I know we are tough as we live outside America and benefit from gorgeous resorts at low, low, low prices, but overall, would we stay here again? Nah-pass. Staff was great, however! Complaints are totally about the crap “seaview” and constant screaming from guests’ kids."
