"I also booked this room for my elders, and I wrote a very detailed review in my previous post. In summary: the room decor rivals a star-rated hotel, the bedding is very clean and hygienic, and the owner thoughtfully pre-heats the electric blanket and heater.
The roads in the village are very narrow, and private cars aren't allowed in. Just park on a nearby street or in a parking lot and contact the owner to pick you up. The owner is an excellent driver; he maneuvers his minivan through corners and turns like a pro, and he even helps carry luggage up to the room.
Finally, you absolutely *must* listen to the owner's advice for sightseeing – it's incredibly detailed and will save you a lot of money, time, and effort. And be sure to try the food cooked by the proprietress; it's organic, healthy, fresh, and delicious. I recommend the local specialties I tried: dried beef, Hani cured meat, tree flower scrambled eggs, and stir-fried bitter greens. The other dishes and complimentary breakfast are also super tasty!
This guesthouse exceeded our expectations and gets a perfect score; my entire family was satisfied 👍
Thank you to the owner and his family for their warm and dedicated service. Wishing the owner prosperity!"

Excellent
__CFT010000000114****Facilities: The hotel, opened in 2023, boasts relatively new facilities, including smart toilets and a fully integrated smart home system.
Hygiene: Very clean.
Environment: The location is exceptional, offering panoramic views of the terraced fields. However, the road leading into the village is quite steep and winding, with sharp turns, so drivers need to be extra careful.
Service: Extremely satisfied with the service. The staff members are all very genuine and hospitable, making you feel right at home.
The red rice chicken soup rice noodles for breakfast were delicious, and the coffee was also excellent. Don't miss their hot pot tea experience or their restaurant, where the dipping sauce chicken is absolutely scrumptious!😋
Already looking forward to my next visit!
DdreamwdmThis is a beautiful little village, and the hotel's location is excellent, offering views of the distant mountains. Unfortunately, due to heavy fog these past few days, we couldn't see the terraced fields. The landlady is beautiful and kind; she was very helpful with room upgrades and check-outs. The owner's cooking was delicious, and she helped us arrange transportation down the mountain, which was very touching. Her beautiful daughter is lovely and sensible. Although we didn't see the scenery, this family left a deep impression on us. We hope to have the opportunity to come again in the future. We wish this wonderful family continued success in their life and business.
GGuest UserThe room has a small air conditioner, and there's plenty of hot water. You can also catch beautiful sunsets and sunrises from the rooftop. They also offer traditional Hani ethnic clothing. The clothes feel really high-quality and substantial when you wear them – perfect for amazing photos.
😍😍 What's even better is that their food is truly delicious. My sister is quite a picky eater, but she absolutely loved their dipping sauce chicken!
👊👊 Finally, for watching the sunrise, you should definitely go to their village's viewing platform. It's much better than going to the paid scenic spots or other free, hidden corners. I hired a driver who took me to a free sunrise viewing spot that was quite remote, and the view wasn't great. After watching the sunrise there, we came back to the village. When we passed the viewing platform, I was stunned by the sight! ❗ You absolutely *must* go to the village's free viewing platform (it's incredible value for money).
GGuest UserSo happy with this stay! High-end, modern facilities in the most incredible location. Felt more like a four star hotel. Some of the best pictures I got in Yuanyang were taken right on my balcony. The room was spacious, the staff were so helpful, and the hotel food was delicious. It's a bit more on the expensive side relative to nearby hotels, but I think it's well worth the money. Would definitely stay here again!
GGuest UserThis is a gem. The room absolutely looks like in the pictures. It is wonderful to sip tea in the glass abode and look at the rice terraces. Speaking of the rice terraces, in this hotel you are even closer to them than if you go to the official Duoyishu viewpoint. Duoyishu being by far the best viewpoint. So basically, it does not get any better than just looking at them from your room or from the viewing platform on top of the hotel.
Only small issue that existed - room is not that big and optimized for looking nice, so no cupboard to put your clothes.
They serve dinner for 50-60 CNY per dish (large portion), and it is tasty.
The breakfast is great.
The manager organized a private car for me back to Honghe at reasonable price.
Go here.
TTebacaService: My tire pressure kept going off, so I called the owner to ask where I could get a tire repaired. He gave me two directions. We were turned away at the first one in Shengcun (it was closed). We were about to head down the mountain to the old county town when we saw another one at the exit of a one-way street and got the air in. After driving to the private parking lot, we called the B&B to come and help us with our luggage. A Hani woman swiftly carried our 17kg suitcase. The owner was gentle and versatile. Since it was raining, we decided to eat at the B&B. She prepared stir-fried chicken, a mushroom omelet, beetroot egg drop soup, and garlic chayote flowers, and even gave us fried peanuts to go with our drinks.
Facilities: The room amenities were excellent, with Kohler bathroom fixtures. The only downside was the lack of a curtain around the toilet.
Environment: The view of the terraced rice fields couldn't be better! I could sit on the balcony and watch the sea of clouds. There's even a phone holder on the railing for time-lapse photography—a really thoughtful touch. It's about a ten-minute walk from the Duoyishu Observation Deck. Unfortunately, it rained both days we stayed there, so we didn't get to see either sunrise or sunset.
There's a local dog named Guolai in the shop. He's so well-behaved, but he's trying to lose weight.
GGuest UserThe inn is located in a quiet village in Duoyishu. Location was good - about 15 to 20 mins walk from Duoiyishu terrace viewing platform, and there was a small restaurant near the inn. The Hani caretaker was hospitable and showed me the way to get to the terrace fields in the village. It was so wonderful being able to get so close to the rice terraces! Here, you could view the sunrise without having to pay the 70yuan charged at the viewing platforms. Do note that the 70 yuan ticket allows access to the other viewing platforms as well, and is good for 72 hours. I had a free upgrade to a bigger room with large windows and a view. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable with an electric blanket. Owner is fluent in both Chinese and English, and was helpful in arranging my transport and giving advice on the sunrise viewing spots. I have beautiful memories of my stay in Duoyishu, would like to come back again!
LLanyanhuo168The hotel is located within Hani Town and is quite large, offering detached or semi-detached units with spacious rooms. However, the cleanliness outside the rooms was subpar; I smelled sewage as soon as I approached. The hotel service was generally poor. We arrived very late that night, and even after entering the hotel grounds, when I called the front desk for directions, they couldn't provide clear instructions. Someone did lead us to our room after we got the key card, but they didn't help with luggage. The next morning, since my child was still sleeping, I wanted to pack some breakfast to take back to the room, but this was not allowed. In summary: the hotel is a 30-40 minute drive from the attractions, but the facilities are good, so it's up to personal preference. Breakfast was sufficient but uninspired. Service was average, so don't expect too much.
GGuest UserI stayed here for two nights with a friend in the beginning of February and we both loved it. This is not a place for luxury, but for great service! The hosts are genuinely kindhearted, open and will help you with anything to make you comfortable. We stayed in a panoramic view room and the location is right above some rice fields, No need to go to the next door viewing platform that charges ¥70, the view from there and from the rooftop were ansolutely amazing!
DDaniela KisiThe location is very good, walking distance to the terraces! The room is very good, and it matches the photos and descriptions, but the service was almost non-existent.
When we arrived we were received only by kids and a teenager checked us in. No adults were seen on site until the last day of our 3-day stay. On our first morning, we were woken up by a couple trying to enter our room because the kids had checked them in and gave them the key to our room!
It was supposed to have breakfast included, but there was no one there to even ask about it. Internet did not work 2 out of the 3 days we were there. Neither did the hot water. I understand that some of these things might be because it's off-season, but if they can't offer services like breakfast, they should not include it in the hotel description.
