Opened in 2024, the Harte and Garter is a great accommodation choice in Windsor. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 400m from Windsor & Eton Central Station and 11km from Heathrow Airport. With King Henry III Tower, The Curfew Tower and Queen Victoria Statue all within a short distance, there is no shortage of things to do in the area. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. According to our guests, the location of this hotel is one of the best around.
"The location is perfect. We booked a room with the best view. It was a bit dirty though, with cigarette butts left on the balcony. The glasses were mismatched, and there was no stopper for the bathtub. The shampoo/shower gel were a strange mix, not from the same set. It was my birthday on the day we checked in, but no complimentary gesture was offered. The hotel itself is a bit tired, and the carpets are worn, but for the amazing castle view and the great photos you can take, it's something you can overlook."

"Had a pleasant stay at Travelodge Windsor Central. The hotel is very centrally located, making it easy to explore Windsor Castle, shops, and restaurants—all within a short walking distance, and right next to the train station.
The room was clean and comfortable, and overall it offers good value for a short stay. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit.
The only downside is that there is no pick-up or drop-off point directly in front of the hotel, so arriving with luggage or by car can be a bit inconvenient. Aside from that, it’s a solid and convenient choice for a weekend stay in Windsor."

"I was nervous about staying here because of a lot of negative reviews. They couldn't be further from the truth. The staff were very welcoming when we arrived the lobby /entrance was very clean with plenty of hand sanitising points. The room itself was very comfortable, clean warm and spacious with great shower and tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast room was a fully stocked kitchen with do it yourself breakfast consisting of fruit, a choice of breads yoghurt cereals muffins croissants tea and coffee. It was very quiet considering its right on the main shopping street very near the castle and theatre with loads of eating and drinking establishments on the doorstep. We had a very comfortable stay and will most definitely be visiting again."

The hotel's location is excellent, directly across from Windsor Castle. The parking lot is behind the hotel; you can navigate directly there by entering the hotel's parking into your phone, otherwise, it might be a bit hard to find. The parking fee is £30 for one night, which the hotel staff said isn't considered expensive.
It's a bit old and the hygiene is average, but it's mainly for children. It's very convenient to enter and exit the park! There is a big bed and a small bunk bed, and there is a small push-pull bed under the small bed, which can accommodate 2 adults and 3 children!
Very close to Windsor Castle🏰, quite in the city center, very convenient
