"The room was great! The hotel also offered motorbikes for rent, and there was even night squid fishing available at a very reasonable price. Plus, they provided free shuttle service to the pier, which was a huge bonus. The balcony was fantastic too!"

"We felt like we'd stumbled into paradise. It's a very quiet, secluded spot. We contacted the hotel in advance, and they met us at Naban Pier and also took us back there later. The ladies at the reception were very sweet. We were greeted with a welcome cocktail (margarita) and toffees. They processed our documents in just 3 minutes and handed us the key to a motorbike (which was free for us, included in the room rate). The room was clean, bright, and beautiful. Everything in the minibar was complimentary (the tea was delicious, excellent coffee, chips, nuts, cookies, raisins, drinks). They provide bathrobes, rubber and disposable slippers, toothbrushes with toothpaste, cotton swabs, a shower cap, a razor, combs, soap, and shampoo – everything you could possibly need. There’s also an extra beach bag and an umbrella. We booked a room with a bathtub and a sea view. The bathtub was large; two people could easily fit, even with my husband being 1.87m and me not being tiny. The view was stunning. Sunrise in the morning, the sea during the day, and Pattaya's lights at night. There were many lighting options you could turn on in the evening to create a romantic atmosphere. There's also access to a small terrace with very comfortable seating and an ashtray, for anyone who smokes. The mattress and pillows were very soft, and the bed linen was good. There were air fresheners in both the room and the toilet. The main pool is small, but you can spend some time there in the evening. I must especially mention the breakfast. It wasn't just tasty, it was magnificent; everything was fresh. We couldn't eat it all – the portions were huge! We absolutely loved it and highly recommend it. We will definitely come back here ourselves, next time for a whole week."

All rooms are fitted with air conditioning, a fridge, a minibar, a coffee machine, a bidet, free toiletries and a desk. Featuring a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer, rooms at the resort also feature a sea view. At PORTOSALO the rooms are fitted with bed linen and towels. The accommodation offers an American or Asian breakfast. Tawaen Beach is 1.3 km from PORTOSALO, while Thong Lang Beach is 1.5 km from the property.

"The appearance largely matches the promotional pictures, but it's absolutely not worth the price. 1. The water pressure in the bathroom is extremely low, and hot water supply is delayed, making it very difficult to shower. Adjusting the water temperature is a nightmare – it's either too cold or too hot, and there are no markings for hot and cold taps, haha. It took us a whole day to figure it out. 2. The hot water tap on the bathroom sink was broken; we couldn't turn off the hot water. Every time we washed our hands, it was scalding hot, which was extremely annoying. 3. Breakfast consisted of fried eggs or poached eggs, along with two pathetic slices of bread, and the sausages were terrible. The breakfast was truly awful. 4. It's close to the pier, but the view is minimal, blocked by other buildings on the left. In the mornings, there's quite a bit of speedboat noise and petrol smell. 5. The scooter rental fee at the hotel is 1.5-2 times higher than outside. There's really no need to rent from the hotel. 6. As soon as you request a late check-out, they immediately ask for more money. While the principle isn't wrong, the hot water facilities in the room were particularly infuriating."

The service was great! They offer pick-up and drop-off at the pier. Everyone was smiling and friendly, and any issues were resolved quickly. It's only a 3-4 minute ride from the pier. The electric cart is brand new and looks really nice (it's orange). There's also a chubby dog and lots of cats. Breakfast was quite simple... The environment is good, but we usually just went straight to the beach after waking up. The room was a standard size, but the bathroom was particularly large. Overall, I think it was pretty good. There were quite a few small animals (like geckos), but they weren't really a problem.

The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and speak excellent English. The breakfast here is absolutely fantastic, I'd even call it a lunch! My room overlooked the garden, with a small bungalow-style table right outside the window. The building itself is made of foam blocks, so it stays cool; concrete takes longer to heat up. The fridge is huge, perfect for storing lots of fruit and water. It's right next to Na Baan Pier, and scooter parking is free. If you rent a scooter, make sure to video record it, noting all existing scratches! I give the hotel and staff a 5+++. You can enjoy unlimited tea and coffee! There's also a gate nearby for direct access to the sea. They even let me check in early! The owner explained everything about the mini-bar in the fridge, with prices clearly listed. I paid a 100 baht deposit, and he checked everything and returned it promptly.

I can't understand how this hotel got such a high rating. They don't respond to emails. They don't answer questions on the Trip.com chat. Our booking was mixed up. We booked a 'Sweet' room, but they had us down for a 'DeLuxe' for some reason. The price was roughly the same when we booked. We asked to switch rooms (at check-in) and were moved from DeLuxe #3 to Sweet #2 for an additional 700 baht! I then asked to change from room #2 to #1. They said it was already booked. I pointed out that when booking, you only select the room type, not a specific room number. They got flustered... but still insisted that room #2 was the only option. For anyone booking: the best rooms with views from the window and the top deck are DeLuxe #1 and Sweet #1. The room wasn't clean; there was trash lying around. An empty chip bag was in the bin. This isn't just dirtiness – it's an indicator of poor standards. There was a used towel on the hanger. No bathrobes were provided. The top floor was sandy everywhere, including on the sun loungers. I guess they're trying to create a beach atmosphere :) The windows were dirty. The bathtub was worn. The air conditioning was noisy. They only give you one key card. If you leave the card in the slot when you step out of the room (e.g., to your own top floor), the door locks behind you (and you can't open it from the outside). If you take the card out, when you close the door, the electricity cuts off, with all the consequences – AC turns off, phones stop charging, etc. I asked for a second key card, but they refused. This is just ridiculous... they're cutting corners on AC... and on their reputation. As an option, you could bring an extension cord and plug it into the 'refrigerator' outlet :) Seriously... it's the 21st century. Overall, it's a so-so hotel. For this price, I think there are much better options. Its location, yes, is good. I understand the laid-back nature of the Thais, but there's a limit. I don't want to stress out on vacation, and who does! So, weighing all the pros and cons, the cons definitely outweigh the pros. I don't know about you, but we are definitely not coming back here. Especially for that money... there are genuinely decent options nearby. And my peace of mind is more important! Breakfasts... were decent. There's a tasty build-your-own soup with a rice base and meat (meatballs), mushrooms, various toppings, etc. A small bowl of fruit and a tiny bowl of yogurt with 3-4 blueberries and 2-3 kiwi slices. They also bring a plated portion with an omelet or two fried eggs, two sausages, two pieces of bacon, two small triangular pieces of sausage, etc. Overall, breakfast was more or less okay. There were no issues with the transfer from the hotel to Na Ban Pier. We took the ferry departing at 9:30 AM. The trip to Bali Hai Pier took 30 minutes. After a couple of ferries sank, they now seem to be counting passengers and trying to avoid overloading.

The hotel is pretty small and simple. Clean enough to live comfortably. Free motorbike was a nice touch. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. My main disappointment though was with the location. Koh Larn (coral Island) was indeed quiet and comfy, but it barely had any corals, most of the reef was dead and in pieces. Probably too many tourists or has to do with too many boats and jetskis zooming around the island. There was also too much trash on the beaches (we've tried all of them and only a couple of them were clean). Parasailing was lame, heights nowhere near exciting and it finished within 5 minutes. All in all, best to get a snorkeling tour on other islands or try parasailing or jetskis elsewhere. It's cheaper and more fun

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Stay at Cara Cara Hotel – Highly Recommend I had an excellent experience staying at Cara Cara Hotel Koh Larn. Everything that was advertised was exactly as described—no surprises, no disappointments. The pool was a highlight. It’s open 24 hours (from what I experienced), and it’s the perfect size. There’s both a deep end and a shallow area, which makes it great whether you want to swim, relax, or just sit in the water and cool off. The room itself was very comfortable. The bed was soft and made for a great night’s sleep. One thing I really appreciated was that the AC was already running before check-in, so the room was nice and cool the moment we walked in—huge plus in Thailand’s heat. Another great perk was the minibar, which was fully complimentary. That’s something you don’t see often and definitely added to the overall experience. Overall, this hotel delivered exactly what it promised and then some. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Koh Larn.

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, there are several issues with the management system that need improvement. First, regarding room cleaning procedures: at most hotels and accommodations, the front desk keeps a spare key or key card so housekeeping can access rooms for cleaning when guests are out. At this property, guests are required to hang their room key outside the door until housekeeping finishes cleaning, sometimes as late as 2:00 PM. This is a serious security concern because anyone could potentially access the room while the key is left unattended outside. Second, if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful stay with good soundproofing, this hotel may not be the best choice. Noise from outside the room is easily heard throughout the day and night. Last night, shortly after midnight, I was awakened by a very loud group of people. When I went outside to investigate, I saw a group of guests drinking in the restaurant area located directly next to my room. The noise was so loud that I could not sleep. I politely asked why the restaurant was still open, as I had been informed during check-in that it closed at 10:00 PM. The guests told me that a staff member had opened the restaurant for them. I then politely asked them to lower their voices because my room was right next to the restaurant. I do not blame the guests at all. The responsibility lies with the hotel staff, who allowed the restaurant to be used after midnight despite the clearly stated closing time of 10:00 PM. Areas for improvement: 1. Guest safety and security — Guests should not be required to leave their room keys hanging outside their doors for housekeeping. 2. Enforcement of hotel policies — If the restaurant closes at 10:00 PM, that rule should be consistently followed. Future guests staying in rooms near the restaurant should not have to endure loud noise until 1:00 or 2:00 AM as I did. Overall, the hotel has potential, but better management and stricter adherence to its own policies would greatly improve the guest experience.

Excellent hotel. At first glance, we were a bit disappointed that the hotel was far from the main beach, but within a couple of minutes, we realized this was actually a huge advantage: it had its own fantastic, clean cove, with far fewer day-trippers coming to the island. The staff was very pleasant, and the room and view were wonderful. Breakfast was nothing special, but decent. They provide a scooter for use during your stay and transfer to and from the ferry. The room was clean, but some areas, like the bathroom, were a bit worn. It has its own private beach, and you don't have to pay for sun loungers. The only downside is that the water in the room is salty.

We stayed at the hotel in March. It's a very good, simple hotel. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the shower and toilet were standard. It's perfect for a 1-4 day stay. The bed linen is good (cotton), and you get two pillows per person. Beach towels are provided. Their food is genuinely delicious! I'm not talking about breakfast here, but the à la carte menu (Tom Yum is top-notch). The beach is superb; since the hotel is almost at the very end of the beach, not many people venture that far. It's about a 10-minute walk to 7/11. Regarding sun loungers, they're 100 baht all along the beach. However, the hotel has its own comfortable, seated lounge chairs (the kind you'd pay for if you walked further down the beach). There are also foldable ones, but you have to pay for those even as a hotel guest. As for noise: our room was on the second floor at the very end, and we didn't hear a thing. In the evenings, each hotel along the beach has daily parties with music, fire shows, etc. I really enjoyed it! To get to the hotel, you need to go to Tawaen Pier. Ferries costing 30 baht per person run to it from 8 AM to 1 PM. Alternatively, you can take a speedboat for 150 baht per person.
