Up América Plaza
8.7 (91 reviews)

Up América Plaza ★★★

📍 Bartolomé Mitre 1744, San Nicolas, Buenos Aires

"What's great about this hotel is that you can walk to many attractions, or if not, it's a maximum of 15 minutes by taxi. I liked the comfortable bed and how clean everything was. As for breakfast, it was a real struggle for me. I'm not used to eating only bread and pastries for breakfast (though, judging by many hotels I've stayed at in Latin America, that seems to be the norm ☹️). I'd prefer eggs and something more substantial, but that's not available here. Otherwise, I have no complaints. The staff is very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything you need. They also speak English, which is a big plus."

Alquileres Temporarios by CLH Rentals Hotels in Buenos Aires

Alquileres Temporarios by CLH Rentals

"I stayed for 6 days. The internet in the first room I was assigned didn't work well, so I was reassigned to a room on the 7th floor. Although there were no internet issues there, all the facilities were old and worn out. There was even a microwave called "Gold Star." The most significant issue was that even though two of us stayed for 6 days, there were only 2 large towels, 1 face towel, and 1 bathroom floor towel. Even when I asked for more, they said that whether I booked for 1 day or 6 days, the quantity (including only 1 roll of toilet paper) was the same, and that I had to pay an additional 10,000 pesos if I needed more. If you plan to stay for a long time, I would recommend booking 2, 2, and 2 days, or booking 3 and 3 days separately. Also, the bathroom door was broken, so I was trapped inside and had to open it from the outside to get out."

"Location is superb! There also is a grocery store nearby just a few steps. Walking distance to the city center. The room is clean and cozy. But check out time is quite early at 10 am."

"Although they only speak English, there are Chinese prompts available. The facilities and environment are also quite good. If you have any special requests, they try their best to accommodate them. They are very friendly and polite towards Chinese guests. The hotel is right by the main attractions, and there's a Carrefour mini-supermarket nearby, making it convenient for daily life, getting around, and sightseeing. It's a great choice for both business trips and leisure travel."

El Conquistador Hotel

"Right in the center. Excellent service, great value for money. The hotel is a bit old but retains its style. I recommend it."

Hotel Conte Hotels in Buenos Aires

Hotel Conte

"🛏️ ROOM • Room type: A double room where the aesthetic is a result of time's indifference, not design. • Bed: Large bed with a firm mattress and two pillows (one soft and one firm). The sheets were clean but visibly old. • Cleanliness: The room was clean. • Amenities: Small flat TV with channels showing interference; safe box available; no fridge. • Rest & Comfort: True rest is a challenge. The soundproofing is non-existent; you'll hear the elevator, hallway traffic, neighboring guests, even traffic and conversations from the street, despite being on the 5th floor. For your convenience, the hotel offers nightly illumination: light streams in from the hallway under the door (an incredible flaw!), and the curtains are purely decorative, failing to block the light at sunrise. 🚽 BATHROOM • Condition: The bathroom is very old, but it was clean. • Basic products: The hotel generously provides two bars of soap, pre-sliced to an amusing thinness for maximum conservation. • Towels: The towels were clean, but their quality was truly remarkable—very used, stained, and paper-thin. • Fittings: The bidet had a significant water leak. 🍳 MEALS • Included: Breakfast. • Variety and quality: The breakfast was scarce in variety (sweet, savory, cold, and some warm options). The juice and coffee were of poor quality. • Service: The waitress was friendly. 👨💼 SERVICE • Front Desk: The evening/night receptionist was completely engrossed in his mobile phone, actively avoiding eye contact. When we asked a question, he efficiently dismissed us, suggesting we read the information on the photocopy—a clear display of zero hospitality. 💡 FINAL VERDICT • ✔ Best thing: The excellent, central location, just a short walk from the Obelisco. • ❌ Worst thing: The combination of critical comfort failures: the non-existent soundproofing, the nightly light leakage, the poor quality of essential items (towels, soap), and the unhelpful attitude at the front desk."

Deluxe Apartments in Palermo by BueRentals ★★★★
"The room was very nice. Good space and service. Breakfast is good but quite basic. There's bread with ham, butter, a coffee machine that makes good coffee, croissants, and some fruit. It's the same every day, so it gets a little repetitive, but it's fine. It's one block from Santa Fe Avenue and a 10-15 minute walk from all the good restaurants in the area. In short, I recommend it for the price."
