"The hotel is right in front of Mono Lake, the scenery is beautiful, and the rooms are nice. Unfortunately, the surrounding area is too desolate, with almost nothing to eat. It's not far from Yosemite."

"Very clean and nice with a table and two chairs, beautiful wood paneling. BUT, this motel is very recently under new ownership. The management/owner was very disinterested and not helpful at all. I don't think the place will stay so nice based on their attitude. For instance, our curtain was stuck on the pole and wouldn't open properly, nor close on the side enough to prevent people from seeing in. It had been jerry-rigged somehow. Room is cooled with a swamp cooler, which is ok but don't expect AC, though we didn't need it. There's a very good heater in the room. It's a simple room, but the price is very fair accordingly. However, because of the new owner's attitude, I don't expect the place will have the same quality in a year or so."

The owner is often on site kind and attentive and always busy with landscape and. repairs. His knowledge of the area will guide you to local activities fishing and dining.. He is the ultimate innkeeper..Rooms are reasonably priced..some offering kitchens...Look no further"
