Astra Hotel
"Good place"
Casa d'Este - Hotel Ferrara
"Moved to this hotel from a nearby one. It’s mostly modern which is not really apparent from the outside. Room was comfortable and quiet. Only downside was a strange sewerage smell on and off. But it was cosy and well appointed. All staff I encountered were efficient and welcoming. In particular the waiter in the morning at breakfast time who came back in the evenings. And the lovely helpful night porter from Cameroon. Uber efficient and charming. Breakfast was very good. Excellent baked goods and a huge selection of cakes , breads etc. Cereals as well The hotel typifies Ferrara and is charming like the city. Didn’t eat in the evening there but judging by the superb breakfast food would be great I’m sure. Menu was finely priced with local specialties on the card."
Hotel Touring
"The hotel is. very well located to reach the center and the castle by walk. Rooms are specious and the breakfast is good."
Last Minute Ferrara
"Clean rooms. 12 minutes walking from the train station and the historical center. I enjoyed my stay!"
Hotel Annunziata
"Excellent price and central position in front of the castlep."
Radisson Hotel Ferrara
"Very good"
Hotel Nazionale
"Service was good and thorough and the facilities were adequate. Food was nice enough.,"
B&B HOTEL Ferrara
"I had a wonderful stay at your hotel in Ferrara! The staff was attentive and friendly, the room was comfortable and clean, and the bike renting service was good for exploring the city. Thank you for making my visit to Ferrara a memorable one!"
Avanguardia Art Club
"Spotlessly clean hotel in a prime location. Wonderfully peaceful, yet only a two minute walk from some excellent bars and restaurants. Remote check in was easy. Double room was spacious and the bathroom was both large and with a fantastic shower. Bed was far and away the most comfortable I have ever had the pleasure of sleeping in. Met the owner on the first day of my stay. She was wonderfully helpful and took time out to point me towards the best spots in Ferrara (in flawless English). Was impressed that whilst doing this she was also dealing with queries from other guests in both Italian and French. Will definitely stay here again."

Il Giardino di Rebecca
"In an extraordinary landscape context, this splendid Bed and Breakfast presents itself as a true oasis of serenity in which to escape from the frenzy of the city and be enchanted by the uncontaminated beauty of nature. Il Giardino di Rebecca is divided into several apartments and rooms, all overlooking a beautiful garden. In summer it must be a marvel, but even during the cold season it can surprise! In fact, I was a guest here, together with my partner, in December and we were not disappointed at all. We stayed in a spacious double room. impeccably clean and with a super soft and inviting bed! The bathroom furnished in a modern style is also very large and has a large shower with a rain shower head, my favourite! The unique detail that exceeded our expectations was the wellness area adjacent to our room! Through a discreet door, we had undisturbed access to the BnB's wellness area with the hot tub and Finnish sauna. This detail was exactly the pampering we wanted especially because we were looking for relaxation and shelter from the particularly cold and humid temperatures of those days. Immersing yourself in this corner of undisturbed relaxation was a real pleasure! Breakfast also did not disappoint at all: a sumptuous feast of freshly baked cakes, fragrant croissants, fresh fruit, yoghurt and an assortment of drinks to satisfy every taste. Despite the wide choice worthy of a 5-star hotel, the thing I appreciated most was the authentic and informal atmosphere: Eleonora welcomes you with a beautiful smile and advises you on what to see and what to do in nearby Ferrara. For me it was a regenerating stay and I felt super pampered. I can't help but highly recommend it!"
Agriturismo Lama di Valle Rosa
"Speaking only of the day pool service with sun lounger, the quiet that was once a must-have is now a pleasant memory... now noise and shouting are tolerated both in the park's relaxation area and in the pools... a real shame considering the above-average cost!"
Ferrara Rooms
"Gentle staff. Large and light rooms. Comfortable stay."
The Platform Rooms
Borgoleoni 18 - Room and Breakfast
"The B&B is just a few steps from the center/dom. No 3 minutes' walk. Very modernly equipped. Unfortunately, the design is more important to the operator than functionality. There are no deposit facilities for clothing and the many small things you have so. Specially to highlight is the home-safe parking behind the house. You also like to pay €15 per day for this. However, we have to take a point off because of the really medium breakfast. Toast bread, chicken and cheese in supermarket quality. Overall breakfast is very overview. Even the Cornetti were warm from the packaging and in the microwave. There is still air up there. Overall, however, very nice - so you can recommend it for a short stay"
Hotel Residence Diamantina
"The location is convenient in that area and the property is awesome. Staff is amazing and we felt right at home."
Boutique Hotel Ferrara
"Highly recommended for a stay in Ferrara. A warm welcome from the hosts and friendly and helpful staff. Immaculately clean. Lovely details and decor. Perfectly situated near to railway station and 10-15 minute walk to main town. Ferrara is a beautiful place to visit. Breakfast was a highlight with freshly baked pastries, fresh juice and a good variety. Good coffee. Tea and coffee making facilities in room, comfortable bed and good shower. 10/10!"
Residence Carlton
"This hotel is perfectly located for a tourist visit to Ferrara. The rooms are comfortable and quiet and breakfasts good. We found the reception staff extremely helpful, especially when our transfer arrangement from Bologna airport fell through and they were able to arrange a last minute substitute. The staff culture is excellent. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel. "
Casaforte la Bastide
"Casaforte La Bastide is a beautifully restored medieval home set in the lovely countryside just outside Ferrara. It is an ideal place to stay while visiting Ferrara. What better way to discover the historical city than stay in a historical mansion? The mansion retains much of its original medieval structure while being tastefully decorated with antique furniture which enhance the ambiance all the while providing very modern comforts. We stayed in the Secret Suite which was large, warm and very characteristic. The bed, pillows and blankets were extremely comfortable, allowing for a good night's rest. We really enjoyed having breakfast in the dining hall. An abundant breakfast was prepared for us by Thomas which included eggs, fresh pastries, bread, yogurt, cold cuts, cheese and biscuits. There was a ample selection of tea, coffee and juice. As amazing as the location was, what made the stay even more incredible was the hospitality of the owners and of Thomas. They really made us feel at home!"
Al Castello
"Booked a room for an August weekend, perfect room, great size, bathroom with everything needed. Excellent location, structure with 6 total rooms, with every comfort. Council."
Alloggi Al Verdi
"I stayed in August 2024 with my family (2 adults + 1 boy of 13 years old). Central location a step from the historical center. Large parking nearby. Clean, spacious double room, comfortable bed sofa. Adapted to families. It's very advisable!"
Hotel Europa
"One night's experience, in a Superior room on the second floor, with a frescoed ceiling, very spacious, as was the bathroom... Some might say it's a bit "lived in," but in my opinion it has its charm and a sense of... history... Overlooking the main street, in front of the Teatini Church, with the windows closed there was no noise from the street... Breakfast was standard, don't expect the breakfasts of large international hotels, but a good variety of sweet and savory, with desserts I think from the nearby pastry shop of the same name, which was closed for holidays during our short stay... The reception staff were kind and welcoming... I forgot to mention the centrality of the hotel: a few meters from the Castle, and convenient for walking to other popular destinations in Ferrara..."
Locanda Borgonuovo
"A charming city centre B@B on a quiet street. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean, furnished in a slightly old fashioned way but that is part of the charm. There is (chargeable) parking close by. "
Hotel Lucrezia Borgia
"The hotel has 3 stars and a lot of effort has been put into surpassing its category. The location is excellent, 2 km from the center, in the immediate vicinity of a large shopping center. Parking is provided and included in the price, and in a short time you can reach a large public parking lot next to the historic city center. The rooms are comfortable, the air conditioner works flawlessly. The breakfast is fine, with my comments about the Italian breakfast that the offer of sweet things prevails over the savoury. . We had dinner once in the hotel restaurant, both the food and the service were excellent. Complaints are that some workers at the reception barely understand and speak English, as well as that the breakfast is used up faster than it is replenished, so if you arrive late, half of the offer will no longer be available. The friendliness of the staff, family atmosphere and good location will make me recommend the hotel to other travelers."
Horti Della Fasanara
"I have never expressed myself with judgments through this site until now, but I decide to do so in honor of a truly beautiful and strategic place to visit Ferrara. The villa is surrounded by greenery and yet very close to the city center. It is a shame that so much potential of the place and the structure (even with some architectural inconsistencies), is completely ruined by a completely insufficient management and, above all, inadequate to the daily cost. Apart from the care of two kind Slavic ladies who do their best to serve a breakfast in itself not up to the vaunted tone of the house, the service is overall shameful. The room service is terrible, as regards the cleaning of the bathroom, supply and change of linen. The water supply (thin as one might expect and admit on a remote island but not in Ferrara) discourages the use of the shower which has also never been touched by the cleaning service. Having reported this water shortage, given our stay of a few days, I was told that in the past, as if it were a justification, there had been a report of a disservice... and such it remained. The sconce next to the bed flaunted an antique spiderweb on which the dust of time evoked a velvet trimming, very evident by simply turning on the lamp. The garden, beautiful, poorly cared for even on the occasion of an important event. I conclude by urging the property to provide..."
