"​The hotel is marketed as a 4-star hotel, and it could easily become one, but unfortunately, it currently feels more like a 3-star property. ​The hotel building seems brand new (or completely renovated), as do the rooms. We were assigned a room on the second floor and had a nice view of the lake. ​Breakfast was good, and the hotel staff is very friendly. ​The pool is extremely small - like VERY small. I wouldn't really call it a pool. ​The location is quite far from the lake and not within walking distance, especially on the way back, as it is all uphill. On the plus side, parking is ample and free. ​The biggest disappointment of all was the room decor. It is such a shame and a real missed opportunity. The room doesn't feel like a hotel room, but more like a cheap rental apartment. The furniture looks as though it was bought from a basic hardware store, and the bed linens are very rough and no actual blanket (they provide a sheet as a blabket). The in-room safe is TINY - forget fitting a laptop in it, as it barely fit our passports and wallets. While the room has air conditioning, it is a wall-mounted unit (which feels cheap, even though it's a Daikin), and it turns off whenever you touch the balcony door. It doesn't just pause and resume when you close the door - it completely shuts off, requiring you to manually turn it back on every time, which is very annoying. The room was clean though with a daily housekeeping. ​Overall, that's why it felt like a miss for me. The hotel truly has the potential to be a great 4-star property - the building is brand new and the staff is wonderful - it just needs a good interior designer and a bit of investment in better furniture and linens. ​By no means was it a bad stay, but it's just not what I look for in a vacation hotel."

"We had booked two nights at the Tobago Hotel in Garda and arrived around 5pm on Friday. The receptionist explained some banal things that were actually all clear. What irritated us was that she insisted that we leave our suitcases at the reception. Someone needed the suitcases into the room. We had specified anti-allergic bed linen as a request when booking, this request was not canceled by the hotel and yet the receptionist explained to us upon arrival that there is no anti-allergic bed linen in this hotel. We drove the car all day and relied on the fact that our wish for anti-allergic bed linen would be fulfilled in this Tobago hotel, as is always the case in every hotel. If the hotel had informed us when making our reservation that anti-allergic bed linen was not possible, we would have canceled the room immediately. Strangely enough, the hotel also informed us by email that we should make a reservation for dinner at the hotel in good time. That was okay. First we went to dinner in Garda. We wanted to have a glass of wine in the restaurant and waited 20 minutes. Since no waiter came, I went to the bar. When asked, a waiter came to the table and handed out a drink menu, but then he didn't come back to take the order. After another 20 minutes of waiting, we went to the room and skipped the wine. In the room we noticed that the bed cover was dirty. And we also found a hair on the blanket. We suspect that the duvet was not changed and was simply left as it was by previous guests. This fits with the fact that there were flip-flops in the hotel room that were kept in a wellness bag and where it was obvious that one pair of the two pairs had already been used because they were dirty flip-flops. We have never experienced this anywhere. We will share pictures of this. Now we were completely without bed linen and had to sleep in thick clothes without a blanket. It was cold in the room at night, so we took the duvet, which caused an allergic reaction in my wife, which manifested itself in a cough and a rash. We spent the rest of the night sitting on the bed with our clothes on. We were excited about breakfast, which we had to tick on an extensive form upon arrival. There may be people who like to do that, but for us it was the level of a spa stay that the health insurance company pays for. We have never experienced this on the many trips we take on a regular basis. The breakfast staff reserved a table for us outside, when the outside temperature was around 12°, and actually thought that we would sit outside. "Excellent hotel, staff brilliant ,evening meals excellent. Plenty of variety ,restaurant staff excellent ,espically Angela ,Georgia,Michela, and luciano all lovely people .they are a credit to the hotel very helpful nothing was a bother.the hotel was excellent facilities excellent ,our room was cleaned to a very high stanard so a very big thankyou to the maids who all work very hard to make your stay a pleasurable one.as do the rest of the staff.The pool was well maintained spacious and plenty of sunbeds.the hotel is situated next to the bus station so you can get a bus quite easily.For me the bisesti staff made our holiday very lovely people very friendly and very helpful made us very welcome.a very big thankyou to such exceptional people for making our holday so enjoyable.we will definately be going back for more happy times."

Poiano Garda Resort Hotel

"Just back from a mini break at this wonderful resort. We had an apartment with breakfast and we were in block D- high up the hill. This gave fabulous views and total peace but the trek was tough for me. So I called on Fabio with his golf buggy a lot and cannot praise him enough for his help. He also introduced us to lalaterna restaurant just outside the resort gates. Do go and make sure you are really hungry. It is where the locals go to eat and portions are huge and delicious. The resort was clean and gardens beautiful. Breakfast was lovely but we were disappointed that to eat in the evening there was only a set price 3 course dinner. We had no issues with the free shuttle bus into town and all staff were cheerful and helpful. Loved it. Loved Fabio most of all. He is an asset to the resort."

"Superb hotel, there is nothing that can be done to make this place better, it’s absolutely perfect. Beautiful pool, great pool bar and staff. Spacious rooms, with everything you need for your stay, immaculately clean. Breakfast is excellent and all the staff are very attentive. Cocktails in the American bar are a great way to end your evening. A little gem in the heart of Garda"

Ca' Barbini Resort

"We stayed as a family group of 3 adults and one child (6). This hotel was everything we could’ve ever dreamed and more! The hotel itself and the grounds and stunning and beautifully maintained… the views are to die for and the staff are so accommodating, it was a an absolute dream to stay here. We spent time in the spa, around the pool and enjoyed an al fresco breakfast each morning. The shuttle into town is a very welcomed service the hotel provides. So easy and convenient! We also booked a wine tasting in the hotel’s own wine tasting, which was wonderful. Andrea was very knowledgeable and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed this experience and found the price very reasonable. Special thanks to Ilaria for help booking transfers and tours for us and always being so welcoming. Jada was also wonderful and Roberto and Claudia in the lounge and at breakfast, always so accommodating. Apologies for missing anyone, the staff here really are a credit to the hotel and make it extra special. I honestly couldn’t recommend this hotel enough, you can tell they pride themselves with perfection. It’s an exceptionally high standard and we can’t wait to visit again!"

Hotel la Perla - Bike Hotel

"This was our 6th visit in 14 years and was clearly the best yet. Last here 2 years ago when I didn't rate it so highly there being a few negatives however this time can't fault anything at all. Super friendly staff throughout the hotel, very professional. Room was spotlessly clean and towels changed regularly and beds mid week. Free safe and fridge , super air con and wi-fi (also great throughout the hotel) Of the negatives before, one was the standard of service in the restaurant, this time service was very efficient, nothing was too much bother.As for the food, when last here it was table service at dinner, this has now been replaced with a buffet service which was excellent, loads of choice and show cooking was a noteable addition. Complimentary wine (or soft drinks) plus sparkling water at dinner was a bonus and a big saving. My other complaint at last visit was the state of the pool area. What a transformation ! with the whole pool area being extensively upgraded. Loads of new sunbeds and parasols and there were always available ( no sun bed wars here !!) . Great addition was the QR code on the table with each pairing of sun beds which allowed you to order food and drinks from the bar which arrived timeously. Super friendly service at the bar with plenty of staff on duty. Nice touch was the complimentary water melon served at each sunbed around 1500 hours. Again great wi-fi connection. Not a complaint, but pool area could do with additional toilets. We just love it here and can't wait to return"

Hotel Royal

"The hotel could be good but from Day 1 it just got worse. The bedrooms need refreshing, holes in the bed bedsheets, flaking paint on the balcony, bathroom light fittings loose, air conditioning is a joke. Much of the paving around the swimming area is uneven or simply missing and not be replaced. Took 3 days to get air con fixed in my room…. Still not ideal as it works like a fan rather than cooling the room. On one night I sleep on the balcony and took my chance with the mosquitoes since the room was that hot. NOTE: Roomed do not have fridges as advertised! No room service either. Wi-Fi only works in reception"

"The restaurant are dismissive of any complaint about food. Not attentive. I have been sat here for 10 mins after they have taken away bad fish, dry bread and wine finished. Did I nention the plants past its best plant plonked on my table Despite a few glances my way. Not one waiter has come to me. Now it's 15 minutes. Finally waitress come and talked about it but said no one will believe it so post it"

"Fabulous boutique hotel, great location, beautiful room with a great view, lovely food & when we arrived there was a jazz band playing. The staff were lovely & even packed us a breakfast as we were leaving early. Would definitely recommend & return."
