"This is a hotel at UMass. It's quite nice. It feels a bit like a state-run guesthouse in China, not like a Holiday Inn or other chain hotels. It's spacious and clean. The view of the campus from the third-floor reception is lovely. They even gave us two bottles of water, which is rare in the US. The only downside is that it's hard to find. You have to drive into the parking garage, then go up to the third floor to find the front desk. Parking on the second floor cost eight dollars."

The outdoor unit of the hotel's air conditioning system was right below my room, 311, and there was absolutely no soundproofing. It was incredibly noisy! I didn't sleep a wink all night, and because I didn't get a good rest, I got carsick on the way to the New York airport the next day. I was so frustrated!"
