"The hotel's location is excellent, right at the entrance of the scenic area. The visitor center is within walking distance, and it's on the same commercial street as other Marriott hotels. The hotel facilities are very new, and the style is modern and minimalist. Breakfast is plentiful. There's no elevator, but the rooms are only on up to the third floor, so it's not a big issue if your luggage isn't too heavy. Overall, I had a very satisfying stay."

"This Mingsu/ homestay just feel like the ancient wu xia inn. Being in Wudang Shan and staying in this Mingsu is like we are back in the ancient time. My husband and I had a great time staying in this mingsu. The room is big, clean, have the basic amenities. The boss and the staffs are nice, friendly, the boss even dropped us to Yuxu palace since he is on his way to buy things. The Mingsu will arrange a free pick up and drop off at the near wudang Shan 大门. Overall experience is good and we had a comfortable stay. Given the next chance of coming to Wudang Shan, we will come back to his homestay again."

"The location is fantastic, right next to the Wudang Mountain Tourist Service Center, making it practically the closest hotel to it. The Tourist Service Center is also where you catch the shuttle bus to the scenic areas. Plus, there's ample parking space in front of the hotel, which is super convenient. Right next door, you'll find a food street and various shops selling souvenirs. The room's heating was excellent, and the bathroom and toilet were separate. However, the light switch design in the room was quite impractical; you had to try each switch to figure out which light it controlled. Also, there was only one charging outlet by the bedside, which wasn't very convenient."

"This guesthouse was a truly comfortable stay. The environment is lovely and quiet, with incredibly fresh air. The room was spotlessly clean, and the Chinese-style decor made it feel very cozy and relaxing. The food they cooked was delicious, making you feel like you were eating a home-cooked meal. My favorite part was sitting by the window with a cup of tea, or lying on a lounge chair in the yard at night to stargaze – it was genuinely delightful. I was very satisfied with this stay and will definitely choose this place again next time I visit."

"The room was tiny and the furniture felt really cheap. What I hated most was the showerhead; I tried adjusting it forever, but no hot water came out. Even after a staff member came to fix it, it still wasn't right, but it was too late to bother further. The mattress was also uncomfortable. Plus, there's an elementary school right behind the room, so it gets noisy super early in the morning, making it impossible to sleep in. The location is downtown, so food delivery is convenient, and it's close to Yuxu Palace, which you can visit in the afternoon."

"Although the hotel is located on a mountain, it feels like a five-star! The location is super convenient, right next to Qiongtai Station and just a few minutes' walk from Qiongtai Zhongguan. I highly recommend it for anyone planning to go up to Golden Summit early in the morning! The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The complimentary coffee (made with SOE beans) was also delicious and aromatic. Plus, the hotel has five adorable and friendly cats! I can't wait to stay here again on my next trip to Wudang Mountain!"

"It was my first time to Wudang Mountain. I didn't make any travel guides and chose a homestay blindly. It completely exceeded my expectations. The boss is a beautiful girl with a nice voice and excellent service. I went hiking every day with the three-day ticket. Although it was only one kilometer away from the tourist center, the boss picked me up every day. I am grateful for the blessing of the ancestors. It was perfect for my first trip to Wudang."

GGuest UserThis hotel/retreat is an incredibly special place, and I feel so grateful to have come across it in my travels, as it will hold a special place in my memory! I have a strong feeling that I will be back (possibly many times!) in the future. I cannot say enough good things about it, whether it be the beautiful architectural design of the buildings and landscaping of the property, the gorgeous cafe, the zen-like room aesthetic, the calm and nourishing atmosphere of the whole place, the incredibly kind staff, and the nourishing and delicious food (which is made with great attention and care paid to the ingredients (most of which are grown on the farm), and their healing principles according to the elements and Chinese medicine nutrition)). There are free evening healing offerings too, including sound healing, card reading, and other thing, which bring guests together to experience collectively as well, in a beautiful retreat center room. The cafe/lobby building is such a pretty and welcoming space, one could easily spend hours enjoying a conversation or reading a book, or petting one of the many adorable cats that roam the property. Even walking along the meandering path to the hotel from the main road is a beautiful experience, winding through tea fields in this magical valley at the base of steep mountains surrounding it. I have stayed at a number of hotels in China during my travels, but this place is by far my favorite of all of them, for its authentic feel and heartfelt warmth. It truly is a uniquely powerful place for healing and restoration, nestled in such a picturesque, quiet hillside of Wudang mountain!!

I came from wudang west station, took a bus to the wudang scenic spot and the owner came to pick me from the bus station right outside wudang scenic spot. It's about a 2 min drive to the property. Location is very good, love that it is so near the wudang mountain scenic spot. There's a small staircase about 20m from the property that leads you all the way up to the scenic spot parking area. If you wanna pop by their 'city area', it's about a 15min walk to the walking street. Definitely recommend!

GGuest UserI loved saying here. The homestay is located within the scenic area. It can be hard to navigate the area if you’re coming here for the first time. I got dropped off at a station after I showed the driver the address and walked uphill for 20-30 minutes before I was able to find the homestay. I recommend getting in touch with the homestay beforehand to arrange a pickup from the bus point since buses don’t drop you all the way to the homestay. There is free service for pick up and drop off to/from the bus station. The food here was spectacular - simple and delicious. The people who work here are super considerate and welcoming. The homestay also partners with Wudang Taoist Academy which I later found out so I might be back to participate in one of the programs later on however if you are traveling to Wudang and also looking for classes in Tai Chi from well established instructors, this is definitely the place to be. The person who runs it is well-connected and can help you out with whatever you need. I was mostly communicating via WeChat which translated English-Chinese and vice versa easily. If you want to explore other areas within Wudang, you most definitely will be needing the shuttle bus. I am very satisfied with my stay and will return if I get an opportunity.

SShalinda WIf you don’t speak the local language, I do not recommend staying at this hotel. It was incredibly difficult getting both on, and off the mountain “scenic area”. Some hotels in Trip reached out to us in advance to help coordinate transportation, this one does not. Your only way to contact the hotel is by calling, which isn’t feasible if you don’t speak the language. The hotel website showed that parking was available, so I thought we would be able to get there by DiDi, as long as I paid the fee to get the car into the park. This was not the case. We did see private vehicles, but I’m not sure what goes into that, but I believe 4 wheel drive is one requirement. So with our luggage, he dropped us off at the base of the mountain. It took a little while to get to the ticket office, you have to walk up several stairs and through a cobblestone market to get there, so we got nice and sweaty and uncomfortable. From there, you take a bus (ours had no underside luggage stowage) about halfway up to another stop. We had to awkwardly hold our luggage in the aisle of a full bus, while going up-hill and doing switch-backs. Everyone gets off about halfway-way up, at a station with several different buses. We asked for help and someone pointed us to the correct one. From the final bus stop up top, it was a short walk to the hotel. We figured going down would be much smoother, but after getting off the first bus, we accidentally got on the wrong one and started going back up. Overall, took us about 2.5 hours from the airport to the hotel, then just over three hours from hotel to the HSR station. Minor descriptions for the room were inaccurate. Ours was listed as on floor 3 or 4, it was actually basement level. The hotel is in the edge of the mountain, so it still had a scenic view. The window in our room was dirty (I expected more for what we were paying). The hand soap in the bathroom was in a re-used bottle and was watered down. Listed amenities said sauna and massage room, there are neither here (nor was there an offer of other local places to go when I asked). The breakfast food was amazing, including a hot, fresh bar with a chef making eggs and noodles. I wasn’t able to partake in the noodles one day because of the language barrier. Hotel staff was more hesitant than other places we’ve stayed in using translation tools and I felt like too much of an inconvenience in using them to ask for noodles. There is bottled water in the rooms, you can ask for more for free (they friended me via WeChat on Check-In and is largely how we communicated). There is free tea and snacks in the afternoon, the hotel was quiet so we were able to take up one of two seats that had an amazing view outside. The staff working the tea time was great and super courteous. You can hike to South Crag Palace and Nanyan Palace by foot, both are absolutely stunning. In summary, if we were to visit the area again, I would stay at a hotel at the bottom of the mountain (not in the scenic area) and use the day exploring/getting lost on the bus. While the view was great, it simply wasn’t worth the high price and the difficulty in getting there for non-locals. If I knew a hotel in the scenic area would reach out to me in advance to assist, then I would go for it. But unfortunately, with the way Trip.com works right now, hotels have to initiate that, guests cannot. I don’t recommend this hotel for non-native speakers.

As it was our first time in China, we had some difficulties. They helped us with a good mood to solve various problems. They were very helpful! The cuisine was excellent, with a variety of Chinese recipes and very high quality. Overall, for the 16 nights we stayed, people did everything to make us feel comfortable and acclimatized. We highly recommend Wudang Mountain Yiheju! KKLimWe got a deluxe Queen Room. There really isn't anything to fault with the hotel except the price is really exorbitant given the amenities. There isn't any bath robe provided for example, when hotels priced at 5 times lesser provided them. Breakfast was also super limited with no tea and coffee. Basically you are paying 4-5 times the price for just one thing - Location, location, location. It is the only hotel nearest to golden summit.

YYIRENPros: Excellent location, hotel itself is well decorated. Very clean. The room is comfortable. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and nice to have some western style choices. Cons: On our last day morning,the big, heavy window shutter fell off the frame while I was nearby and my forehead got hurt slightly. The hotel manager offered to change rooms for us, but because it was our last day there we decided to stay in the same room. No more compensation was offered to us. There should be a mini fridge and microwave oven in the room, due to no lunch and dinner availability, except for private parties.

There are plenty of dining options nearby, and the local food is delicious. The hotel front desk helped us plan a very practical travel itinerary, saving us from taking too many unnecessary detours. They even thoughtfully reminded us to bring motion sickness patches and medicine, as the winding roads up Shiwangwan Mountain are particularly challenging for those prone to motion sickness.

Facilities: The facilities are relatively old, the windows cannot be closed, and the window screens are useless when they are barely closed. The air conditioner rumbles like a tractor all night, and the air outlet is broken. It blows towards the bed, which makes your mouth dry. Several rooms are like this. Hygiene: The bathroom may have just been cleaned, it is full of water. As soon as you enter, the whole room smells of betel nut. Service: Checked in at night, came on the second day of the Chinese New Year, maybe there were too many people, and there was no room to change. The front desk said to find someone to repair the window, but it didn't come. Even more bottles of water were not given.
