"A fantastic hotel in a brilliant location - 40 mins nice walk through the park to get to central Cambridge. However, the local area is also really great too - lovely restaurants and cafes around which we really enjoyed. The hotel is beautifully done with really nice interiors and the room was comfortable, clean and well decorated. Only notes would be we'd love to see the addition of net curtains for natural light in the room with some privacy, nespresso (or similar) coffee machines rather than just a kettle (aparthotels tend to have these, we were surprised there wasn't one) and more hooks in the bathroom for wet towels. Other than that, a great stay and would highly recommend."

"The room decor was quite distinctive and to my taste. We stayed in one of the slightly larger rooms, but it still felt a bit cramped because the bathroom and balcony were incorporated, making the space feel tight. The environment is nice, being close to the river, which is quite picturesque. If you prioritize the surroundings, it's a good choice. However, the bed was too soft and uncomfortable to sleep on, and the staff's attitude was also rather unenthusiastic."

"I had a very pleasant stay. The location is excellent just a short walk from the train station and within easy reach of the city centre and riverside areas. The hostel was clean, well organised, and felt safe throughout my stay. My room was simple but comfortable, with clean bedding and sufficient storage space. The shared bathrooms were well maintained and regularly cleaned. The staff were friendly, professional, and happy to help with directions and local tips, which made settling in very easy. I also appreciated the communal areas, which were relaxed and suitable for catch up with other travellers or just unwinding after a day of sightseeing. Overall, this hostel offers very good value for money and is a great choice for budget-conscious travellers visiting the city."

"The hotel is right next to Cambridge train station, which made getting around super easy. The weather was quite hot, but the room temperature was comfortable and controllable with the air conditioning. It was also quiet, with no disturbances. However, when I woke up in the morning, I found a small fly in the room, which was a bit off-putting. The window was closed, so I'm not sure how it got in."

"This is one of my top recommended hotels within the Cambridge University graduate student area. I frequently book this hotel for our professors and students, and every time, I receive excellent feedback. On July 17th and 18th, there was a very large event in this new research district, which was just a 3-minute walk from the hotel. It was incredibly convenient, and everyone had a great time! 😀 The biggest advantage of the hotel is its extremely convenient transportation. There's a U Bus stop right near the entrance, providing direct access to Cambridge city center and the train station, making it perfect for visiting scholars, students, or first-time visitors to Cambridge. A large supermarket is just a two or three-minute walk away, making daily shopping very easy. The surrounding neighborhood is pleasant, with many excellent restaurant options. The hotel breakfast offers a wide variety and excellent quality, ensuring a pleasant start to each day. Overall, whether it's the accommodation environment, location, or convenience, it's an ideal choice for anyone studying, working, or visiting Cambridge. I will definitely continue to recommend it to professors, students, and friends."

"Stayed at Novotel Cambridge North recently and had a really solid experience overall. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. The facilities were impressively clean, especially the swimming pool and sauna - both well maintained and relaxing to use. Breakfast was more than sufficient, with a great standard full English buffet that was always topped up quickly, so nothing ever felt picked over. Location-wise, it’s just a 4-minute walk from Cambridge North train station, which makes getting in and out incredibly easy. The connections are excellent, and having a Co-op right opposite is really convenient - especially since the hotel itself is a bit removed from other shops and amenities. Overall, a comfortable and well-run stay, particularly if you’re travelling by train or need a quieter base just outside the city."

"Single bed was small and not particularly comfortable, double bed was better, however there was mould on the bathroom ceiling and the toilet seat wasn’t attached properly. We were only given two towels although the room was booked for three. Otherwise, the room was clean enough and the service was very helpful. Free parking which wasn’t clear when booking."

"You can get to this college from Cambridge train station by bus, followed by a short walk. Check-in is at the main entrance, and there's a free water dispenser nearby for still water, no sparkling. The room I stayed in was quite a long walk from the entrance. The room size was decent, but it lacked ventilation and the facilities were old. A double bed for two people felt a bit cramped, and the bedding was also a bit worn. If you have a large suitcase, you'll have to carry it up to the first floor. Breakfast was a standard English breakfast, and the dining area was quite small. Mainly stayed for a quick overnight stop, and it was relatively cheap if booked in advance."

"Environment: I didn't have high expectations for this hotel initially, as the room size is quite small and the price isn't high. However, after checking in, I found it to be much better than I imagined. I even managed to fully open my two large suitcases! Facilities: There's even a small kitchenette, although we didn't use it. They also have a heated clothes hanger. The only thing I found a bit inconvenient was the small bathroom sink, which wasn't very practical for applying makeup. Hygiene: Decent. Service: I believe there wasn't complimentary drinking water or slippers, but since I brought my own, I didn't bother to ask."

"This was my second stay at the hotel in a single room 114. I decided to stay again as it was very good value and a fairy short walk into Cambridge. I had a different single room than before and it was Ok. It had a decent shower and a comfortable bed. I was very cosy. The room had T and coffee facilities, and a T pot that I greatly appreciated during my last stay. I had a better view in this single room which was nice. It is a short walk to the shops, bus stop and the museums. As I was visiting cultural venues it’s a great positioned hotel not far from The Cambridge Museum and the Castle. I really liked staying in this hotel. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was very good value with really good ham, fresh fruit and yoghurts, nice muffins ext. there is plenty of spaces available to relax in the hotel. If you like 90s retro the spaces are great! The staff were very helpful and I stowed luggage so that I could visit Cambridge. It’s a great value hotel for solo travellers so please keep a good price for us! A very good stay here I will be back.
