"I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The room had no heating, so it became quite cold during the night and was uncomfortable to sleep in. I requested a portable heater, but it took over an hour for one to be brought to the room. While the staff eventually helped, the long wait and lack of heating made the stay much less comfortable than expected."

"Everything was absolutely perfect. The location was incredibly convenient, the facilities were excellent, and the service was outstanding. We had a truly wonderful and high-quality travel experience, and we're very grateful. We will definitely be back!"

"Single bed was small and not particularly comfortable, double bed was better, however there was mould on the bathroom ceiling and the toilet seat wasn’t attached properly. We were only given two towels although the room was booked for three. Otherwise, the room was clean enough and the service was very helpful. Free parking which wasn’t clear when booking."

"The hotel is a bit far from the main Cambridge University area, requiring a bus ride, but it's still very convenient as most Cambridge attractions don't have parking, so taking the bus is the usual way to get around. The front desk staff were also very friendly and patient in answering questions. While early check-in wasn't possible, they did offer luggage storage. My only minor complaint is that there was no phone signal in the hotel, so I relied entirely on Wi-Fi – though mobile network coverage across the UK isn't great in general."

"The facilities are great, the bedding is comfortable, and the kitchen is fully equipped. The microwave/oven combo is very convenient – you can Google how to use it if you're unsure. The washer/dryer combo works wonderfully. There's also a dishwasher, which I didn't use. Basic cookware, dishes, and a kettle are provided, though I didn't use the toaster. Housekeeping is once every 7 days, and you can leave your trash bags by the door for staff to collect. Since all units have kitchens, the fire alarm went off once, but just stay calm. Trip.com's service and response time were very fast."

"Stayed at Novotel Cambridge North recently and had a really solid experience overall. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. The facilities were impressively clean, especially the swimming pool and sauna - both well maintained and relaxing to use. Breakfast was more than sufficient, with a great standard full English buffet that was always topped up quickly, so nothing ever felt picked over. Location-wise, it’s just a 4-minute walk from Cambridge North train station, which makes getting in and out incredibly easy. The connections are excellent, and having a Co-op right opposite is really convenient - especially since the hotel itself is a bit removed from other shops and amenities. Overall, a comfortable and well-run stay, particularly if you’re travelling by train or need a quieter base just outside the city."

"This hotel is super close to Cambridge train station, with plenty of supermarkets, bakeries, and restaurants nearby, making it incredibly convenient. What's even better is that there's a bus stop right outside, with routes directly to Cambridge city center. The hotel itself is very new, and the lobby is beautiful and elegant. The room was spacious, clean, tidy, and well-designed, and the daily housekeeping was excellent. This was definitely the best hotel I stayed at during my trip."

"I stayed in Holiday inn during March in room 046. It was a very clean room on arrival with twin beds and a bigger than expected bathroom. It had a good shower with Dove washes. It was a 45 min walk from the Centre of Cambridge along Mill Road or you can get the No 2 bus that costs £3. It was a pleasant walk. The reception staff were very helpful and check in was quick. The room had a good temperature and it was cosy. The bed was very comfortable. The room had a kettle, TV and an iron. The breakfast area was very busy in the mornings. The hot breakfast was ok. The Coffee was Ok there were a range of pastries and muffins all Ok. There were a lot of poor behaved people with a lot of ill behaved children in the breakfast area. Overall I had a comfortable stay. The room itself was very quiet. The images provided are of the room and view from the window, the walk to the hotel. I hope they are helpful."

"This was my second stay at the hotel in a single room 114. I decided to stay again as it was very good value and a fairy short walk into Cambridge. I had a different single room than before and it was Ok. It had a decent shower and a comfortable bed. I was very cosy. The room had T and coffee facilities, and a T pot that I greatly appreciated during my last stay. I had a better view in this single room which was nice. It is a short walk to the shops, bus stop and the museums. As I was visiting cultural venues it’s a great positioned hotel not far from The Cambridge Museum and the Castle. I really liked staying in this hotel. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was very good value with really good ham, fresh fruit and yoghurts, nice muffins ext. there is plenty of spaces available to relax in the hotel. If you like 90s retro the spaces are great! The staff were very helpful and I stowed luggage so that I could visit Cambridge. It’s a great value hotel for solo travellers so please keep a good price for us! A very good stay here I will be back. "This hotel seems quite old. It's located near a busy road, so it can be noisy. There's no air conditioning, which might be uncomfortable during the summer. It offers free private parking, but the entrance is quite narrow. Breakfast is included and it's delicious."
