"My experience this time was great, the best even! I loved that my room opened right onto the pool. If you want to use the bigger pool, it's just a few steps away. I'll definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area."

"We stayed for a couple of days (before Koh Chang) to see Chao Lao - we liked it. And stayed for 10 days. The hotel is located well, next to 2 7Eleventa, mini Big C, a bunch of eateries, massage parlors for 250 baht - my wife liked it, she knows a lot about it. The sea is clean, no jellyfish or plankton, though a bit cold. No entertainment. I looked at dozens of hotels nearby (from this price category), this is the best. The price is 500 baht on the spot (more expensive on Saturday and Sunday). Cleaning, towel, coffee every day. The staff is friendly, they will help, tell you. There is a bike rental for 20 baht per hour. There are few fruits, only pineapples and durians at the market. So for lovers of deserted beaches, this is the best."

"The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. The room was clean, and the bed was so soft and comfortable, I slept wonderfully. The hotel's shampoo and soap smelled lovely. Breakfast offered a great variety and many delicious options. The swimming pool was also very clean, with two pools (I didn't take pictures), a separate one for kids and adults, and even a slide! The view was amazing. I was really, really impressed! 💗"

"Having been disappointed by the Thai definition of a 'resort' before, Sand Dunes was a very pleasant surprise. It lives up to it's presentation on the booking sites, no deceptive camera angles, no hidden flaws. Check in was both fast, efficient and with a smile. Service staff were very cheerful and happy to assist. The room itself was everything promised. Large. Clean. Modern. A great view from the surrounding hills to the ocean. The fresh white sands of the beach are directly behind the hotel, with the larger of the 2 pools adjoining, next to the top class Shores restaurant. Dining was delightful. Food portions are very generous, with a nice selection of dishes on the menu. We had the soft shell crab, NZ mussels & deep fried bass one night, with a nice Hoegarten beer to wash it down. If beer is not your tipple of choice a good range of wines, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks can be ordered. The breakfast offering is just as extensive. A large selection of thai dishes, 2 cook-to-order stations for an omelette, fried, scrambled or other egg dish, fresh fruit, salads, pikelets, waffles, even soft serve ice cream cones. The coffee from the espresso machines was even quite acceptable - coffee is where most breakfast buffets fail. All in all a very nice resort, worthy of a return visit. The staff cannot be rated more highly, especially the restaurant managers who seemed to never stop working."

"The service is very good. The staff are well-mannered and speak sweetly. The rooms are good. You can use the swimming pool in front of the restaurant. Very impressed. The air conditioner is not very cold. During the summer, you may not be able to fight the hot weather. Overall everything is good. There will definitely be a chance to come back."

"Good location, convenient, there is a 7/11 across the street. The beach is beautiful, clean and safe, suitable for swimming. The pool access zone is clean, wide and always 1.2m deep. Breakfast is up to the hotel standard, the pork porridge is delicious. The staff and housekeepers are cheerful and friendly. The room is clean, the air conditioning is cool and pleasant."

"This is a lovely, well-maintained resort with a large shaded garden and several types of rooms and cottages to choose from. Everything is very clean and cared for. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s a nice restaurant right on site. The resort has its own stretch of clean beach, and there are plenty of other restaurants and cafés within walking distance. As of November 2025, some construction and expansion works are in progress, but they’re not noisy or disturbing at all. Overall, it’s a peaceful and comfortable place to relax by the sea — great value for the area."

"We stayed 6 nights at this hotel and it exceeded our expectations. The room we stayed in was located on the ground floor in the 2 storey building, right behind the swimming pool which gave us an ocean view from the balcony. The food was fantastic both at the breakfasts and lunch/dinner and the bar was well stocked, the bartender was very skilled and open to try new drink recipes. The beach was very clean and there were pool/beach towels and sun beds available beach front with adjacent showers. Other great restaurants could be found within a short walking distance. The hotel also provided a shuttle to/from the town of Chantaburi, they also arranged airport transfer from Trat airport. All in all we had a very pleasant week a this hotel and we can definitely recommend it."

"The accommodation is very good, quiet, at this price. Plus breakfast is also available. It is close to Seven restaurants, cafes and beaches."

"Parking was difficult to find, probably due to the holiday. However, finding a beach hut right outside the beach that isn't too crowded is really hard to come by. This place is one of them; the price is reasonable, the hut itself is free of insects and odors, and the bathroom is quite stylish. It's worth considering if you're visiting the beach area. Also, this place is checked in through the resort next door; it's the same resort, just with a different name."
