White Rocks Hotel Kefalonia ★★★★
"The scenery is very good, breakfast is average"
Garbis Villas & Apartments ★★★
"We first discovered Garbis in June 2025 and felt that 1 week was definitely not enough time and came back for two weeks this year. Firstly, the apartments are great, really comfy beds and pillows, daily cleaning done and Eleni, our cleaner was amazing. The view from the balcony/terrace is simply breathtaking and if you like a quiet peaceful hotel, then this is the place for you. There are lots of tavernas within 5-10 minutes walking distance, we did however have a car because we like to explore the island every time we come. Lastly, Irene the owner, whom we call family now, is the best host!! She’s invited us for breakfast twice, made us lovely coffees and cakes. We absolutely love her and can’t wait to return in 2026. We loved our apartment so much could easily live there forever :)"
Sami Beach Hotel ★★★
"I was taken ill and spent a week in hospital. I would like to thank the local Hays Travel representative, Nicki, for all of her help and support during the time I was there. She helped my partner Ali to arrange everything to get me home. Nicki was absolutely amazing. Cheers Rog"
Electra Kefalonia Hotel & Spa ★★★★★
"We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at the Electra. The room was very well appointed and we were really well cared for by kind, attentive and thoughtful staff, who catered to our every need. The spa facilities were very good, with a very astute concierge service, which captured our appetite to both explore the island’s highlights and also to relax. The hotel is located in a quiet part of Svoronata, with a number of mid-range restaurants within easy walking distance and a small, lovely beach right on the doorstep."
Aenos Hotel ★★★★
"The selling features of this hotel is first and foremost its location, followed by its outward appearance. Beyond that , the rooms are tiny and hot with no effective air conditioning , surprisingly dirty and a night desk clerk that is rude, inefficient and should be fired. The restaurant staff are lovely but the food is average"
Porto Skala Hotel Village ★★★★
"Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Great facilities, decent size rooms and very comfy beds. The best thing about this hotel though is the amazing staff……….nothing is too much trouble. I must in particular mention Evelyn and Franklin who were amazing! My main gripe unfortunately was that there is no air con in the seating areas in the dining room but would thoroughly recommend this hotel"
Thalassa Boutique Hotel - Adults Only ★★★★
"Beautiful hotel in a very scenic location. The facilities are excellent and so was the breakfast. Very friendly staff as well."
Kefalonia Bay Palace by Ghh ★★★★
"We recently stayed 5 nights at Kefalonia Bay palace the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the views are amazing. Lena the manager was always close by to ask if everything was ok, we found the 2 bedroom villa with a pool very relaxing but lacked kitchen space to wash glasses ect. The pool closing at 7pm each day is a bit early when the weather is so hot. The location is very step with lots of steps and the rooms are very tired."
Alley Boutique Hotel and Spa ★★★★
"For the price, it could have been better. Cleanliness could have been improved, and the breakfast left much to be desired."

Barefoot Contessa
"Location of the accommodation was absolutely perfect along one of the best stretch of beaches on Kefalonia. The apartment itself was immaculate with everything you could want for a comfortable holiday. The staff at both the apartment and the beach bar were welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to offer help. The availability of food and drinks served at the bar was extensive and everything we ate and drank was freshly cooked and delicious as well as beautifully presented. We will definitely return!"
Piazza Suites
Odysseus Palace
"Best hotel EVER! I stayed here with my mum and son, on the way to Zakynthos. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel welcomed and like family. They made a fuss of my son who felt so at home. The food was great, the place is like a typical family home and the room was perfect. I would highly recommend to anyone coming to Poros."
Monambeles Villas
"I was there with my son in April and we had a very relaxing week. It's a very peaceful place and it's very near some nice rugged beaches. The villa we shared was perfect, with bathrooms and bedrooms upstairs and downstairs. It was all very clean and lovely toiletries supplied, and plenty of towels. We used the barbecue one night and enjoyed the pool although it was quite cold in April. But still, we went into the sea! But best of all was our hostess Elena who could not do enough for us. She collected us form the airport, took us shopping for food , drove us to the restaurant and back the first day, and gave us a lift to Argostoli. She really was exceptionally kind. And we appreciated the welcome basket with fruit, sweets and wine. She also took us on a tour of the island which was lovely. We will return. But maybe April is a bit early in the season for everything to be open , so next time May might be better for us. Thank you Elena for all your kindness and we hope to see you again in the future! Best wishes, Jean and Alex"

"Wasnt so clean."
Emelisse Nature Resort
"Hotel is positioned on a beautiful part of the island. The grounds are lush and pool is great. We loved everything here as far as the environment, views, amenities and our room, but the service was quite poor specially with the front desk. Our room was directly by the pool, and two nights in a row live music was playing at the pool restaurant until 11pm, which is great if you are there enjoying it, but not when you have a small child and trying to put them to bed. The next day when I told the front desk member that the music was very loud in our room and we were unable to sleep he just said yes we can play music until 11. When I pushed further and asked if we could be moved the answer was no. And that was that. I was stunned at this terrible customer service. I appreciate the hotel was fully booked but a simple gesture, an apology or sympathy would have gone a long way."
Casaly Hotel & Spa
"Fabulous hotel close to town centre and overlooking the bay with outstanding hospitality. Great layout and facilities - pool, gym, spa, etc. Staff - Katerina, Costas, Angeline and all their colleagues - helped to make it a special experience. Loved the breakfasts which catered for all tastes. Highly recommended!"
Eliámos Villas Hotel & Spa – Relais & Châteaux
"This place is incredible in every sense of the word. The accommodations are spectacular, the service was top notch and the property has the most stunning views. I would recommend to everyone that I love. This is the place to be on this island. Very intimate. Very quite. Very peaceful"
Lassi Hotel
"The location of the hotel was perfect for the beaches, and bars. The staff very friendly and very helpful. Nice relaxing atmosphere, great views from the front balcony rooms."
La Signora Hotel
"Fantastic boutique hotel in a great location with super friendly staff. Sea view room was fantastic to watch the sun go down, very clean with everything you could want. Really good breakfast as well with a great choice. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you Venetia and team for a great holiday, we’ll be recommending to our friends and hope to visit you again one day."
Liberatos Village
"Liberatos Village Hotel has the potential to be brilliant but it falls way short. I’ll start with the good bits. The hotel’s perched at the top of a steep hill, so yes, it’s a bit of a slog to get to, but you’re rewarded with cracking panoramic views from the pool and some of the rooms. There’s a nice breeze up there too, which is a godsend in the July/August heat. The pool area is a real highlight, big, deep (2.2m), clean, with large, comfy loungers, but could do with a clean they are a bit grubby. The bar’s well stocked, food’s decent (though slightly more expensive than down in the resort, as you’d expect), and the staff are generally friendly and polite especially the bar staff and receptionists. The outdoor areas are lovely too, loads of greenery, flowers, fruit trees and the odd palm tree. But that’s where the positives end…. The inside of the self-catering rooms is where the whole thing unravels. We booked through TUI and were led to believe it was 3T (3-star) accommodation, inside the rooms it’s more like 1-star at best. The cooking facilities looked like they’d been dragged out of a skip, rusty and ours was held together with tape, with loose wires hanging out, this one was eventually replaced. The hob was filthy, the kitchen tap sprayed water halfway into the living space, and the bathroom tap wouldn’t turn off. The air con started leaking by day two. In our other room were met with blood stains and snot on the pillow on arrival, not exactly the welcome I expect from a TUI package holiday. We had two rooms, both had problems. After raising a complaint and being told no other rooms available, we were offered a “more basic” room (worrying) from the hotel owner or the chance to switch hotels at an extra £1500 for 4 days from TUI. Repairs were eventually done to the tap and replacement pillow but only done after we raised them with TUI customer services who got onto the owner. Even then, things like mould on the ceiling and a grim, stained shower curtain remained. What really soured it was the attitude of the so-called manager with an “American” accent, rude to my missus and dismissive, even accused us of exaggerating. If they ripped out the rooms and gave them a proper refurb, this place could be class. But as it stands, great on the outside but a proper horror show on the inside. Wouldn’t return or recommend anyone to stay here. I’ve told TUI to either reduce the rating to a 2T or remove the self catering option as it’s totally misleading showcasing this as a 3T. Lassi however we never had a bad meal out! Great little resort with some fantastic beaches."
Avithos Resort Hotel
"Just returned from a fabulous week at the resort- we were new to Svoronata and took advice from others reviews when selecting Avithos - and so glad we did! The setting is beautiful, easy to walk to beaches and restaurants, handy supermarket not too far away, we had a hire car to venture further afield. The studios were very well appointed and the garden's immaculate- everything was kept clean and tidy and gave a peaceful atmosphere to the guests- no loud music from the bar! The pool was welcoming with plenty of sun beds and loungers to choose from of all shapes and styles ( we did see reservations/towels on them throughout the day even though there are notices in all the parasols stating prohibited!) but there are still more than enough to choose. The breakfast buffet was amazing ( we had a B&B option) so much choice and very well presented - the best we have seen in Kefalonia. Variety of guests from babies to adults and all mixed along with a smile in this lovely resort- thank you to all the team in Avithos Resort ☀️"
Tetra Retreat
"We were the first guests at this hotel, and spent 10days here we stayed in the swim up sea front room, ( we highly recommend this room to stay) by far the nicest room we have stayed in, it had stunning views which had the sun until late evening , we had the warmest welcome by all the staff, they couldn’t have done more for us, we really enjoyed our stay here it was the perfect chill out location, the hotel was walking distance to a few good restaurants, I would highly recommend renting a car for a few days of your trip too if you like a adventure thanks to everyone at the hotel for our great experience."
Odyssey Boutique Hotel
"Our 3rd visit and still brilliant in every way. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast and great food in the restaurant. There are always plenty of loungers to relax and enjoy the sun. All bedrooms have an amazing Sea view and are so comfortable. The staff are so helpful and caring as always. We look forward to next year. Thank you again."
Celestial All Suites
"A very relaxing, calm & peaceful stay. Feeling very rested & ready to go again. The surroundings, the flowers & the view of the mountain backdrop were stunning. I love swimming for fitness and this pool is the longest one I’ve ever swam in at a hotel. It’s really pristine and the aesthetics are very lovely. I would definitely recommend the relaxing massage and jacuzzi. The lady at the spa is very good. Also there’s a reasonable sized gym. We had a hire car which was great for trips out to explore the island."
Astra Village Hotel Suites
"Had a really lovely week at the Astra Village. Thought the hotel was clean, well organised and as everyone says the sunbeds are incredible! Pool was lovely and quite cool and refreshing. Lovely breeze over pool area in the afternoons. Rooms were fine, beds comfy and shower, air con and fridge all worked well. Cleaned (to varying degrees )daily, although more frequent towel changes than 3 days would also have been nice. The only real complaint was having asked for rooms close together (both through easyjet and directly to hotel beforehand) we were split between block 1 and 5. Which wasnt ideal as travelling with teen and young adult daughter who has anxiety and wanted to be nearer to us. Food was good, we all enjoyed breakfast and were never hungry after dinner, even the fussy eater found things they liked! Pool bar lunches were good and drink prices only slightly higher than other bars. Went out for dinner a couple of times when we didnt feel like buffet. Staff in general were polite, professional and helpful and very hardworking. There was one waitress in particular, Irene or Irennee (?) who was extremely lovely and helpful and just a very joyful presence. I hope Astra village realises what a asset she is. Other things others have mentioned such as improvements of water/tea/coffee in rooms, coffee machine on after dinner and help with luggage I agree with. Thankfully 2 shops very close to stock up. Cute cats around hotel. Overall had a really good week in Kefalonia and were very happy with nearly every aspect of hotel."
