"The hotel is very picturesque, the rooms are spacious, and the sunset on the pier is gorgeous. Even the transportation was easy to organize. However, the service left a lot to be desired. The staff's English was not great in general, which made communicating difficult, but the real issue was how they handled my surprise engagement proposal. I spent weeks trying to arrange a private boat to one of the picturesque nearby island beaches for March 31st. I sent an email on Feb 24th and a follow-up email a couple of weeks later, CC’ing every email address possible and even contacting them through Trip.com directly just to get a reply. I didn't get a single reply. I happened to be staying at the Marriott in Phuket five days before the proposal, and had their concierge call Santhiya for me to arrange for the boat transfer and help with my proposal. Spoke to them directly, and told them my request in detail, and was told it was "no problem" and "super easy" to arrange, and to just speak to their staff once I arrived. So when I arrived, and I was told everything was fully booked, I was extremely disappointed. Their only suggestion was for me to pay to extend my stay until a boat became available, which was incredibly disappointing and frankly insulting. It would entail changing flights, transportation arrangements, etc, really really annoying. I had to go outside the resort and arrange a private boat through a third party myself. I managed in the end, and thankfully my (now fiancee) said yes, but the process was unnecessarily stressful due to two ignored emails and a reassuring phone call that turned out to be untrue. I complained at checkout over a week ago; the manager seemed to empathize, but I haven’t heard back since. A beautiful property, but the lack of care for a special occasion was deeply disappointing."
TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao - Adults Only
"From Pick to drop up, everything was perfect. I got arranged their pick up service by shared shuttle and boat ride from Ao Nang. Once arrived at the resort from a 20Min boat ride, small walk to the reception area, process was quick. had to download the app to get notifications and other services. I travelled with mom for my birthday treat.Apparently we had the best view, stated my the Guest Relations manager which was room 306, and surely the views were amazing. the TreeHouse is a childhood dream come true, as I always wanted to say in a treehouse but never happened. The private pool was slightly on the cold side, especially when the sun disappears, so best time to get in the pool is morning time, wish they had temperature control for it."

"Cape Kudu was the perfect island getaway. With that being said, the location is very secluded and requires multiple methods of transport. Although necessary and obvious for an island stay to be secluded, there could be increased methods of getting to the island. Service was impeccable. We celebrated a birthday here and the staff left a small complimentary cake in our room on the day of! They really go above and behind to make your stay amazing. Breakfast is also great - an immense assortment. There’s a roti station, egg station and lots of local and Western dishes available. Overall, would definitely stay at the Cape locations around Thailand!"

"We had a fantastic time for a couple of nights. We were picked up at the speedboat pier, luggage brought for us to the hotel room, greeted with a welcome drink even before checking in, and able to enjoy the remote location and quiet vibe of the hotel. The swimming pool offers a great view, and was rarely in use. This is a very well run, newly built, clean and well serviced hotel. We did not experience any resort activities, nor were we offered any. We hired a scooter for a day, directly at the hotel, at the cost of 300baht. This was a fantastic way to go exploring! Food at the restaurant was very good, although not necessarily fine dining by western standards. Occasionally, some dishes would be unavailable due to missing ingredients, such as avocados - but I guess that is how it is to live on an island! Otherwise a fantastic stay, with staff that really try their hardest for you. It was lovely."

"Stayed a week here, beautiful room and our own pool, with a stunning view. Staff here are all excellent cannot do enough for you, breakfast good if not quirky, you’ll find out! Good choice and super fresh. Hired mopeds 300 bhat for 24 hours, you need one to explore the island properly, ate a lot here all the food very good, everything closes down at 9pm, so we went to 7/11 store and got drinks for our patio area of an evening. You can totally unwind here, no late nights on the island, and everyone we came across were just great, super friendly and chilled, Will definitely come back here again 10/10 from us xxxx"

"We recently spent a week in one of their beach side pavilions and what a fabulous week it was. The staff go out of their way to make it a great holiday. They organised trips, taxi’s etc. The ground staff get kayaks ready for you. The onsite restaurant La Sala is wonderful. The food is gorgeous and the staff friendly and professional with excellent service. I would highly recommend this for a relaxing week on a lovely Thai island."

"Definitely not worth the price :( quite a beautiful location, perched ontop of the mountainside, but the view was marred by a big abandoned construction site! It is also advertised as an adults only property, but for using the facilities, breakfast at the restauarant etc, you have to go down to the main hotel premises which is not adults only. The main disappointment is that the vegetarian food selection is very limited (despite emailing them in advance our dietary requirements).. and even after reaching there, the chef was (politely) unable to accomodate us. We first thought, maybe thats because it is quite a remote island (which is why we chose it), but then just a 7-10 min walk down the road, theres a lovely cafe, Chaba cafe, that had so many vegetarian AND vegan varities... all local fresh fruits and vegetables!!! For the exorbitant price charged, we definitely expected more in terms of service and quality of food... which we also spoke to the manager before leaving. He was understanding, and I hope changes have been made since then!"

"We spent 11 nights in this indescribably beautiful and peaceful place! We have rarely felt so comfortable. The staff is so warm and charming… a smile says more than a thousand words. Pure nature, and the lodge truly lives up to its "Eco" designation. The food is fantastic, served and cooked with great care. The rooms are very clean and well air-conditioned. We slept better than we have in a long time. Everything on the island is easily and comfortably accessible with the rental scooters. The view of the sea is sensational, and we don't want to leave. Everything is organized according to our wishes, and there was nothing we lacked. We travel a lot and are quite spoiled – but this place will now hold a special place in our hearts. We will be back! That's for sure, and we can hardly wait. Somm O and her colleague are simply enchanting! Thank you for a wonderful time in paradise, and see you soon!"
