Koh Yao Yai Village ★★★★
"I recently stayed at Koh Yao Yai Village for 3 days and overall had a wonderful experience. The breakfast was a real highlight – a wide variety of delicious options, fresh ingredients, and something new to enjoy each morning. Whether you’re into Western-style breakfasts or local Thai dishes, there’s plenty to choose from. The pool is absolutely amazing – spacious, clean, and with stunning views that make it perfect for relaxing during the day. Definitely a standout feature of the resort! However, during our stay, there were ongoing renovations, which brought some noise during the day. If you’re planning to spend time in your room during the daytime, be aware that it might not be completely quiet. Despite that, the overall atmosphere, service, and facilities made it a memorable and relaxing getaway. I’d still recommend it, especially if you’re out exploring during the day."
Thiwson Beach Resort ★★★
"We only stayed for one night (on our way from Krabi to Phuket), and that was a big mistake! The clean pool offers an amazing view! The rooms are excellent, and the breakfasts are fantastic."
Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort and Spa ★★★★★
"We tried three different room types, and this one was the best. After talking to the front desk, we weren't given the best floor, but at least the view was still pretty good. The restaurant near the lobby had delicious food, but the breakfast restaurant was just average with limited choices, though it did have a great view. Getting to Koh Yao Yai was quite convenient, but you have to pay for it yourself. I traveled from Koh Yao Yai to Krabi directly by speedboat, which was very easy. The island is almost exclusively frequented by Caucasians. As long as you can speak English, you'll get by fine. The staff were very enthusiastic, and I didn't feel any discrimination. There are plenty of activities, so you can stay busy even without leaving the resort. Just a heads-up: kayaking and paddleboarding are free for 30 minutes a day. If the weather is bad and you can't use them, the time doesn't carry over to the next day; it expires. The hotel is huge, and transportation relies entirely on pickup trucks. There are many vehicles, which is convenient, but it feels a bit environmentally unfriendly. The island isn't big; you can get around by scooter, but there isn't much to do, just one sandbar. There was a slight hiccup that I hope they improve. On our last day, when leaving the island for Krabi, there was a miscommunication with the hotel. We waited for a long time, but no staff member called us to get on the car, and our luggage was nowhere to be found. We watched as wave after wave of Europeans got on their buses with their luggage, but no one paid attention to us. I had to go ask myself, otherwise, we wouldn't have gotten on a car or seen our luggage."

"The accommodation was great, and they were kind enough to let us check in early because it was raining and we couldn't go anywhere. I highly recommend it!"
THE REAL ESCAPE - Koh Yao Noi ★★★
"Nice and clean"
Paradise KohYao ★★★★
"Fantastic location, great rooms and well looked after by staff."
Baan Taranya Koh Yao Yai Resort ★★★★
"We stayed here for three nights in a Honeymoon Villa. It’s most definitely a 3*+ place and not 4*. The room was ok, and as others have said a few more power outlets wouldn’t go amiss. The bed was ok for a few hours and after that becomes a bit of a torture device. The pool is ok, but by modern standard a bit of an uninspired block. All ‘ok’ rather than ‘wow’. The main issue with the place though is the restaurant, it really is properly terrible. If you are on a package including evening meal then that gets you the set menu, which is the same every day. And that menu is a choice of one thing - the same unchanging thing every day. You will have the same thing day after day unless you then pay for something else. And God help you if you are vegetarian as then the food options then really are awful. Technically the restaurant is run separately to the hotel as you pay them separately, but to all intents if you are a guest it is the hotel’s restaurant, in the hotel grounds, where you have breakfast, etc. If you are going here, it’s ok, but think of it as a 3* and you’ll be pleased, but not as a 4*. And do not eat here, rent a scooter and there are really good restaurants 5-10 minutes away to the right at the top of the road, or about 25 minutes away to the left. On the subject of the scooters, the hotel charges 700 baht a day for them, but walk five minutes to the top of the road and the place up there is 250 baht for the day. The hotel also gets very finger-waggy about ‘if you have a puncture you pay for recovery and for the new tyre’, but given the state of the roads a puncture is hardly the fault of the rider and is an inevitability at some point for some poor rider. Seems excessively harsh."
Anattaya Holiday Home ★★★
"The hotel was super clean and comfy, located in the heart of the village, 1 minute walk from 7Eleven, restaurants and attractions. Nina, the owner, is the type of host that will take care of everything and more! She arranged the most beautiful dsy out for me and nothing was ever a problem for her. Can’t wait to book again and get back to the best hotel in Koh Yai Noi."
Banhalawee ★★
"I rated 3 just due to a very low price. It's a quite unmaintained "resort". Gifts, the good things. It has a beautiful seaview. Cheap meals (80 b) from the wife of the chief. The rooms are very basic, but there is a small fridge. Very hard or too soft beds. They do not clean the rooms. We stayed here for 4 days, no cleaning, we asked twice, still nothing. The place is little remote, no restaurants around. The sea is about 800 m, but with big rocks, can't go to the water easily."

Royal Yao Yai Island Beach Resort
"1. Great location with beach, pool area and lots of space 2. Close to other restaurants on beach 3. Personell could have been more helpful in travel options when leaving the island 4. Service for food was ok 5. Towels should be made easier available in pool area 6. Bed was great and room was good. Toilet a bit dated Taking all the above into account we had a great stay and we were really happy! Would recommend."
Artisan Koh YAO Yai Handcraft Beachfront Villas
"There were a lot of ants in the room, and the room itself was not cleaned well. The girl at the reception was friendly, helped me rent a bike. The hotel is authentic, interesting design, but I will not come again."

Amber Yao Noi
Elixir Resort Koh YAO Yai
"The hotel is not so big but very cute. Thai style room and with super welcomed stuff, they are so polite! Breakfast is nice, you have a lot of choice, western and Thai. I like to eat dinner here and watching sunset. The price is expensive then the local restaurant but also reasonable, and the taste is very good. Tiki bar has happy hour from 5-7pm. Perfect time to watch sunset. The beach and pool never crowded, a perfect place for get away and relaxing. In the afternoon there are a lot of crabs to catch. There are 3 very cute dogs in this resort. If you want to have a quiet vacation and only enjoy, relaxing, I recommend this hotel."
Dan's Koyao Retreat
"If you want a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket, this little piece of paradise is almost perfect. Staff were great (Sin was very friendly and helpful), room was clean and spacious, bed large and comfortable, great views, breakfast, pool etc. Room for improvement: the shower was decent but could have been better, the small white desk/bedside table was not comfortable and didn't really fit in with the rest of the decor in the room, and I didn't get a reply to the email I sent prior to my arrival asking about transfers to the property. Overall though, still great and we would have loved to stay longer."
BJ Beachfront Hotel
"The atmosphere is very good, quiet."
Koyao Island Resort
"This is just a picture perfect resort. Amazing views from the garden, the villas and the pool! The staff is super friendly and the restaurant super tasty - highly recommend!"
YAO Bada Badoo Boutique Resort
"My wife and I stayed at Yao Bada Badoo for 6 nights and absolutely loved it. Our room was classy and beautifully appointed with high ceilings and modern fittings. The bathroom was a standout and the bed was so comfortable it was hard to get out of. Our host Stacey and her staff went above and beyond in making our stay truly fantastic. The resorts location and proximity to beaches, activities, dining and the main pier is perfect. If you're looking for your oasis, this is it!! "
Laguna Villas Boutique Hotel
"An absolutely magnificent hotel with incredible charm, great serenity and very classy staff, very welcoming and smiling. Splendid, very pleasant rooms with plenty of space and very, very well equipped. A magnificent swimming pool but very cold in the light. Really a recommended hotel and ultimately not very far from the night markets by tuk-tuk it's not expensive"
Jaiyen Eco Resort
"We spent 11 nights in this indescribably beautiful and peaceful place! We have rarely felt so comfortable. The staff is so warm and charming… a smile says more than a thousand words. Pure nature, and the lodge truly lives up to its "Eco" designation. The food is fantastic, served and cooked with great care. The rooms are very clean and well air-conditioned. We slept better than we have in a long time. Everything on the island is easily and comfortably accessible with the rental scooters. The view of the sea is sensational, and we don't want to leave. Everything is organized according to our wishes, and there was nothing we lacked. We travel a lot and are quite spoiled – but this place will now hold a special place in our hearts. We will be back! That's for sure, and we can hardly wait. Somm O and her colleague are simply enchanting! Thank you for a wonderful time in paradise, and see you soon!"
