"We would have liked to have stayed longer. We have never had such friendly staff. They even helped us rent a scooter and drove us there personally and we didn't have to worry about taking the scooter away. In general they were very helpful and we were given a warm welcome. The room was also super clean and we slept in very comfortable beds. If we come to Ko Yao Noi again, we would come back here straight away. Really a recommendation! Thank you for everything :)"

"I really enjoyed my stay. Everything I expected. It is very quiet and relaxed. Just what I wanted. Very friendly staff and the room was great. Free shuttle bus to Laem Haad beach which is a must. Breakfast was OK. Restaurant at the end of the road with the green plastic seats served the best, cheap, good food. I would stay there again."

"A lot of room for improvement. Service - check in was chaotic, staff members almost too scared to look up to see who is there for them to help. Our room wasn’t ready which was fine as we were a little early. Came back a 3 hours later, 3 members of staff free all talking amongst themselves.. again no one wanted to look up. Eventually someone acknowledged me and got our room sorted. Beach bar - massively understaffed considering it seemed to be catering for the whole resort, on the beach, by the pool, the grass lawn and the beach restaurant itself! We stayed 3 days and service was slow and lacked organisation and urgency. no one seemed to know which food was for what table, Missing items etc. It’s a shame as food was good and place has so much potential! Breakfast was very much the same - not enough plates, Bowls, glasses etc. tables were slow being cleared. Eg. We had asked for a drinking glass and 1 was brought out instead of bringing enough to fill restock the area for others. Great location - beautiful sunset, has everything you need around. Convenience shops, restaurants etc. For a 5 star resort we were disappointed especially comparing to other resorts a long the same strip of beach. We saw little to no management presence to combat some of these issues or at least see them first hand and solve some of these issues."

"Beautiful place. Rooms, pool and beach were excellent. Lots of families and couples so as a solo traveller felt a bit out of place. The restaurant was good but one night I was ignored for 30 minutes as there was a large party in. The staff, especially the cleaning and maintenance were superb over the four nights. So friendly and make you feel at home."

"What a great little private set of bungalows! Spacious, immaculately clean, great service and fabulous views! Da-da spoke pretty good English and was super helpful. She arranged collection from the ferry at 100bt per person and we also rented a scooter for 2 days, at 300bt per day. You can organise breakfast if needed, we didn't bother, opting to eat out late morning."

"We spent a few fantastic days at Secret Garden Homestay and we can recommend this place with full confidence! Everything was at the highest level - from the wonderful atmosphere, through comfortable accommodation, to the hospitality of the hosts. The facility is located in a quiet, green area, which means you can really relax and feel the atmosphere of the island. The rooms are clean, spacious and very atmospheric, and the proximity of the forest adds a unique charm to this place. However, the greatest advantage of Secret Garden Homestay is the hosts - warm, helpful and always smiling. They were happy to advise us on what to see on Koh Yao Yai, helped with organizing transport and made sure that we lacked nothing. This is a place with soul, to which we would gladly return again. If you are looking for a quiet corner surrounded by nature, Secret Garden Homestay is the perfect choice!"

"The resort is very secluded, but surrounded by beautiful nature. You have to be aware that there's nothing within walking distance. It's a place to truly unwind. Our room was lovely, and the dogs and cat living there were incredibly cute and well-cared for. We were only moderately satisfied with the service, and the prices for the rather small portions were a bit steep. We booked a boat trip through the hotel and specifically asked if they could recommend something less touristy. Unfortunately, the trip turned out to be to several overcrowded, extremely touristy beaches—a real tourist trap. We were totally disappointed and found it a shame that Jayen Resort recommends and books such excursions. This mass tourism doesn't really fit with their "sustainability concept." I wouldn't recommend staying longer than two nights. Overall, it's a nice resort, but for us, the price-performance ratio wasn't quite right."

"The hotel's location and service truly embody wild luxury. Each villa is equipped with a swimming pool, the room is very spacious, and the main concept is natural and environmentally friendly. All configurations are humanized. The housekeeper Kate accompanied us from the beginning of our stay to the end, and customized activities for us. During our stay, it happened to be my daughter's birthday. She prepared a birthday cake and arranged the table attentively and meticulously. Thank you very much! Every employee of the hotel is very enthusiastic and meticulous. I will definitely come again when I have time in the future!"

"We had an amazing stay at Dan Koyao Retreat. The place is very peaceful, surrounded by a small jungle, with a beautiful infinity pool and a stunning view over the islands facing Koh Yao Noi. It’s the perfect spot to relax and disconnect. Sin, the manager and the whole team were incredibly caring and attentive, always making sure we felt comfortable. We truly had a wonderful time there. The breakfasts were amazing! We enjoyed both European and Thai breakfasts, and everything was absolutely delicious. One evening, the team even prepared a seafood dinner for us, grilled on site, which was fantastic. We highly recommend this place. It’s a truly lovely retreat and a great experience overall."
