However, the space is much smaller than expected, which is very inconvenient. I don't recommend bringing a suitcase because it won't fit flat. There is parking, but there are no shops nearby, so you have to buy food downtown. Bugs do creep into the room, but I recommend it if you just want to enjoy nature. Overall, aside from the small space and the service, it's okay."

"The Hiramatsu is a very nice, well-located hotel right on the beach, perfect for those seeking peace and quiet. It has 20 rooms, which is a welcome change from the large, impersonal hotels you often find. The rooms are comfortably furnished with sea views and equipped with everything you need and more. The bed was one of the best I had on my entire trip to Japan. Rooms are cleaned daily upon request, and the beds are turned down in the evening, also upon request. This is very convenient, as you don't have to stand outside your room while it's being cleaned. The beach is beautiful and directly accessible via a staircase. However, it's not nearly as clean as the rest of the country. It's clear that the Japanese aren't particularly fond of beach holidays. Some villas have private pools, but the small infinity pool for everyone is perfectly adequate. The grounds are very well-maintained and spotlessly clean. The staff are very friendly, but unfortunately, their English isn't very good. The food ranges from good to excellent, although the selection is somewhat limited. If you don't want to eat the set menu every evening, which I did twice (once incredibly good, the second time rather underwhelming), the choice becomes limited. For breakfast, they offer almost everything, although it alternates between Japanese and continental options and is served at your table. However, you can also choose your own breakfast if you don't want the Japanese option. All in all, it was a lovely stay, and I would definitely book the Hiramatsu again should I ever visit Okinawa's main island again."

"The hotel is quite remote; if you drive there, you'll have to navigate winding side roads. There were many bloodstains left by dead mosquitoes on the bedside table, which was unsettling. We were the only guests for two nights, and it got a little scary late at night. The hotel staff and owner were very welcoming and even gave us a bottle of sparkling wine."

"I had higher expectations for this stay and was a bit disappointed. Firstly, the location of the resort is not great, it’s on a loud highway which makes noise an issue but also makes it extremely difficult to navigate as you can’t turn right across the large highway. We treated ourselves to the buffet one morning and wish we didn’t, there was limited selections for food and the sashimi was far from fresh. We were given a table reservation card and once sat down with our food were asked to move by the staff so another guest could have our table? Very odd and once questioned the staff changed their tune and no longer wanted to move us - seemed the other guest was getting preferential treatment. Parking was also paid which was not clear on the initial listing. We stayed for 3 nights and our room was only cleaned on one day, beds were not even made and rubbish wasn’t taken out - very strange for a 5 star. We only realised staff had been in because toilet paper had been replenished. I was very excited for this stay and was a bit let down, views are nice though!"

There is a combination of perfect location (very close to Emerald beach, 10 min walking to the best corals I ever seen in Bisezaki, 3 min walking to Churaumi aquarium with outside turtle pool and dolphins show, probably optimal point to discover Ocean Expo park with really great garden and big culture museum, Yanbaru bus station at entrance, Lowson in 50 meters), great friendly service (also in english available, and they try to help you in any situations), comfortable rooms (you can find all necessary things you need), wash and dry machine were our regular helpers, vanity tools are available on desc at reception (its free), small shop with souvenirs and other gifts you can also find inside, water pool have enough space for quit big company and includes kids zone (0,6 m depth). And all of this plenty peculiarities have a great background - there is no many people (also exactly in hotel, there is only three floors). So, if you prefer small number of people and want to find lovely place by chip price, I want to recommend this hotel."

"This hotel went above my expectations. The rooms are huge and the tub outside was an excellent way to enjoy the sunset and stay outside while staying away from the heat. The location is great but to walk to the beach you do have to go down the hill a little and cross the road. With the July heat it felt longer but totally doable. The stairs to go down to the main road that made the walk shorter. We did not have a car so I highly recommend driving to the location. We ended up enjoying our stay within the hotel rather than walking to the nearby beaches. Location is also very close to where the scuba trips take place from."

Good point ㅇ The swimming pool is private and very nice as it is located between the kitchen and living room. The water is constantly circulating so it is clean, and the landscaping in front of the pool is also very pretty. ㅇ The kitchen is separate from the room, so people can separate who can sleep and who can play, so they don't disturb each other. ㅇ There are plenty of towels and other necessities. ㅇ It is very suitable for multiple families to visit and stay together. ㅇ There is a washing machine and dryer, so it is very convenient for using the swimming pool and the sea. ㅇ Parking available right in front of the entrance ㅇ I thought there would be a lot of mosquitoes, but maybe it was the time when there weren't any (October 24, 25), but there were none at all. There is a bush near the barbecue area, so there are large moths and snails on the wall."

If it is a family trip, you can consider the hotel next door, the swimming pool and hot spring facilities are more suitable for children and I believe the price is also more affordable."

"Don’t know even where to start! When checked in were advised that onsen facilities needed to pay, when in Trip app never mentioned that… the staff (a female non-Japanese staff spoke fair English but she was of no help and she showed annoyance during the whole interaction, very bad). The room was smelly and old, the toilet was small, after a night sleep, my husband had some rash on his face (maybe dirty pillows, which were changed the next day), there were no drinking water bottles available like any decent hotel, and they claim to be a resort… The hotel couldn’t cope with the amount of people stuck because of the typhoon and all the restaurants were full and needed to wait at least 1 hour, never extended their services since the pool was closed, at least the onsen should be extended, not only the indoor swimming… Really terrible. The good thing, the lobby was very instagramable and the food was not bad, specially the bbq buffet which was divine. And shampoos and shower gel were L’Occitane! I won’t recommend the place, for the amount of money spent for the accommodation, we honestly expected more!! The pictures showed in Trip app are really dated… The place is really old and smelly…"

"Each HIRAMATSU location has its own unique character, and I was really looking forward to visiting Ginoza. First, we were greeted when we arrived at the driveway. This is the place where you wait for the cart while enjoying the view. It's a place where you can imagine your HIRAMATSU resort life starting as you look out over the ocean on the east coast of Okinawa. It's a very stylish arrangement. The cart came to pick us up and took us to the reception building where we checked in. This is also on a hill overlooking the ocean. It's a really wonderful place. The wind was strong during our stay so we couldn't enjoy the pool or jacuzzi, but the view from our room was of the ocean all to ourselves. It's a great location. The food at every HIRAMATSU was excellent. It was delicious and enjoyable. The villa garden room by the sea is great!"

"A truly satisfying stay! The location is a bit remote, best suited for those with a car. Because it's not close to the city, it feels more like a secluded paradise. This time, we opted for the dinner and breakfast combination. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, sharing the nearby deserted pebble beach and the sunset beach on the other side. The room was well-equipped and even had a sound system – fantastic! The beds were clean and comfortable, and the hotel offered unlimited soft drinks and beer until 10 pm. Dinner was a barbecue, and when the staff learned it was a birthday trip, they even brought us sparkling wine to celebrate – so thank you! In the evening, we could enjoy the starry sky and unexpectedly saw a shooting star – so exciting! Before we left, the staff even kindly took a photo and left a message for us – we were so grateful! We hope to have the opportunity to stay here again in the future. It would be even more perfect if check-out time could be extended to 11 am 🥰"

"The biggest selling point of this hotel is the spacious rooms, which feel more like apartments with pots and pans for cooking. However, I think it falls short compared to high-end chain hotels. At 3600 a night, I'd say the value for money is extremely low. The hotel is located on a hillside, which makes getting around quite inconvenient. If you're traveling with kids and want to enjoy the beach, the hotel does offer a shuttle service, but there are many beachfront hotels further down that would be more convenient. The breakfast is Japanese-style, and there aren't many options. If you're not a fan of Japanese food, you'll find very little to choose from."
