Echarm properties in Kunming

The hotel's location is right in the city center, and the rooms are clean and tidy. It's very convenient for shopping, with the old street just about a hundred meters to the left when you step out. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I'll definitely come back if I have the chance.

The price was reasonable, and they offered airport shuttle service. For our 8 AM flight, the shuttle left at 6 AM and got us to the airport in about 10-15 minutes, with a stop to pick up guests from another hotel. The room's cleanliness was a bit lacking; the desk felt sticky, and the tile floor was also a little tacky. However, the shower had good water pressure, and the drain worked quickly, making for a comfortable shower experience.

I extended my stay for another day, and in addition to the good service and cleanliness I mentioned before, I also used the laundry room today. It was great, with LG washer/dryers that automatically dispense detergent and disinfectant. However, some guests might be a bit inconsiderate and leave their laundry unattended for a long time after it's done. I suggest adding labels or a mobile notification feature.

The service was excellent, and the bed was very soft. I arrived in the early morning, was incredibly tired, and fell asleep the moment my head hit the bed. Breakfast was provided, and the receptionists (Zhao Huanqin and Jiang Mi) even asked what time I wanted it delivered to my room. I needed laundry bag, which they had already sent via robot. I couldn't find a comb in the room, so I asked the housekeeping staff to get it for me, and they provided one. The service was truly wonderful; I was very touched.

The price (208 RMB, about €25) and the central location—near Kunming Central Station and just a 45-minute metro ride from the airport—led me to book Echarm Hotel for one night. Check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly and efficient. They accommodated our requests for two extra pillows and a room away from the elevator to ensure quietness. Complimentary coffee and tea are available in the lobby. We did not opt for breakfast, which is optional and costs 29 CNY per person. The room was clean and equipped with a kettle, three types of tea, instant coffee, and two bottles of water, although you can request additional bottles both in the hall and near the elevator exit. There is only one elevator, so you might have to wait or share the lift occasionally. The area is central and lively, very close to Dashuying metro station (I recommend Exit A as it’s on the same side of the street). There is also a local night market nearby (watch out for passing motorcycles and cars), located near the old tram tracks, continuing from Exit C of the metro. Nothing to complain about—the room was perfect. The only downside is the absence of a minibar, but this seems common in many 3- and 4-star hotels in China.

Cost-effectiveness: When traveling, the first choice of accommodation is relatively cost-effective, and the environment is comfortable. His hotel is mid-range and a national chain, which is very reassuring. Hygiene: The hygiene of the room is what I care most about when staying in a hotel. When I arrived at the hotel and checked in, I felt more warm when entering the room. The hotel hygiene was also relatively clean and tidy, so I felt relieved to check in. I like the hotel.
