MmynotesarchiveThis stay truly lives up to their slogan: 'as comfortable as home.' They really do have almost every amenity you'd find at home – an iron, washing machine, microwave, and so on.
The service was excellent! They managed to get all four rooms for our large family on the same floor. However, it seems like every room might be a smoking room (even though we requested non-smoking and they sprayed a lot of air freshener, the smoke smell just wouldn't dissipate quickly 🥲). If you can't stand it, you can ask the front desk to change rooms, but there's no guarantee the next one will be smoke-free… we ended up with two smoky ones, haha! You can also often smell strong cigarette smoke in the hallway 🚬, because people in other rooms are heavy smokers 🤯.
For a short trip, it's still okay, because it's a brief stay and we spend most of our time out of the room… maybe we were just really unlucky…
No issues with noise, though. I saw some comments before about poor soundproofing, but honestly, it's quite good… and I'm a light sleeper.

MM754003****After traveling all the way from Shanghai and staying in five or six hotels, this one truly stands out as 200% amazing. It's well-equipped, clean, and offers all sorts of thoughtful services you wouldn't even expect. The staff (both male and female) are incredibly helpful, polite, and attentive. Even my picky daughter said she loved this hotel! On our second night, my daughter fell ill, and the front desk attendant went above and beyond, helping us buy medicine, get porridge, and even carry our luggage. Unfortunately, due to my family's health, we couldn't enjoy our trip to the fullest and had to cut it short and head home early. But next time I'm in Kunming, Yunnan, I'm definitely staying here again.

Check-in at the front desk was quick, and the staff were friendly and even thoughtfully provided recommendations for nearby attractions and dining. The room was elegantly decorated and spotless, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The toiletries in the bathroom had a lovely scent, and the facilities were very well-maintained, without any signs of age. Breakfast offered a rich variety of options, combining both Chinese and Western styles, with fresh ingredients. The chef would even adjust dishes to guests' preferences. What surprised me most was that I accidentally left my charger behind when checking out. The hotel not only contacted me immediately but also proactively helped mail it back to me. Their efficiency and warmth were outstanding. The overall service was professional and warm, with every detail reflecting their attentiveness to guests. It absolutely deserves a five-star rating, and I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area.

MM286302****This time, my stay at the Mercure Hotel Kunming Changshui International Airport was a friend's recommendation. I had already booked a nearby hotel, but my friend's persistent recommendations convinced me to cancel that booking and reserve the Mercure on Ctrip instead. I decided to give it a try for one night, and here are my thoughts:
1. **Hotel Hardware is Excellent:** The Simmons bed was incredibly comfortable, and having four down pillows (two thick, two thin) was a thoughtful touch! It caters to different guest preferences. It felt a bit wasteful having such a large bed all to myself on a business trip, haha! Thumbs up! 👍
2. **Breakfast is Superb:** The breakfast spread was very rich, offering both Chinese and Western options, perfectly satisfying the needs of both local and international guests. The Yunnan rice noodles were especially authentic and flavorful! Plus, the breakfast hours are quite long, from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM, accommodating both early flight passengers and those who prefer to sleep in. Thumbs up! 👍
3. **A Few Minor Gripes:** Of course, after all the praise, I do have a few small complaints:
1. The path between the lobby and the elevators involves several turns; I almost got lost twice! I suggest the hotel be more user-friendly and place clear signs in the corridors leading to the elevators so guests can easily find their way.
2. The up and down buttons for the elevator are oddly placed in a tiny crevice on a decorative wall panel. You can't even find the buttons from a distance! I actually thought it was an infrared remote control! I'd ask the hotel, wouldn't it be better to have the buttons visible on the wall so people can find them right away?
3. For such a good hotel, the surrounding amenities aren't great. There are no dining options or places to buy local specialties nearby. After arriving at the hotel in the evening, I had to walk to a hotpot restaurant next to another nearby hotel.
4. While there is a shuttle service, the fixed departure times feel a bit inconvenient. Moreover, it's like a public bus, picking up guests from several locations. If you encounter a slow or indecisive guest, it can delay others from catching their flights. A direct shuttle service would be much more ideal!

MM1wfll881****The room was spacious and bright, and from the 26th floor, through the window screens, I could overlook the majestic mountains of Kunming's Western Hills. All the high-rise buildings instantly felt tiny before me, a truly exhilarating view. Even though it was a rare cold day in deep winter, it lifted my spirits, offering the secret joy of a beautiful view without having to step outside. The room facilities were new, and the decor was thoughtfully done. I liked that there wasn't a large screen in front of the bed; it felt good from a feng shui perspective. The staff, whether at the front desk, in the restaurant, or cleaning personnel, were all very helpful. Especially the young man who drove us to the station; he knew the way perfectly and dropped us right at the entrance, which was the best choice as check-in and security were seamless, taking us right to the gate. This kind of thoughtful kindness, looking out for the customers, made me feel proud of Kunming. When visiting Kunming to experience the local culture and hospitality, the hotel staff truly act as open doors and windows, revealing any scenery you wish. Keep up the great work, Jun'an!

Whether I had a question or a small request, they were always quick to respond and very thoughtful. They even offered free late-night snacks! The laundry room was also free to use, which is super convenient for longer stays. The location is fantastic too, right near the city center with tons of malls, making shopping, dining, and getting around incredibly easy – no need for detours. I've already recommended this place to my friends and will definitely choose it again next time I'm in the area!

CCaptainLanThis stay was absolutely fantastic, definitely five stars! The lobby is very grand, and the hotel itself is genuinely impressive. We even received a welcome drink package upon check-in. The breakfast was rich, varied, and incredibly delicious – seriously good! The mattress was so soft and comfortable; I slept wonderfully all night.
**Environment:** The environment is beautiful, quiet, and spotless. It made for a very pleasant stay, and all the hygiene details were meticulously taken care of.
**Service:** The front desk staff were efficient, patient, and provided excellent service. Every request for room cleaning or other needs was promptly addressed.
**Facilities:** The room was spacious, bright, and fully equipped with a high level of smart technology. The laundry room and gym were also well-appointed.
And one last thing to add! Ms. Tongxin Lianlian at the front desk had an absolutely wonderful attitude!

GGuest UserWe are Americans from Hong Kong and traveled to Kunming for our Easter holiday. The positives of this hotel: 1. it was beautiful. The design and furnishings were very well done and the room itself was exceptionally clean. 2. The owners were so kind. We arrived way after the tea time hour, but they still provided our family with cappuccinos and fresh fruit, free of charge. Both were delicious and our children were so excited about the gourmet coffee art. 3. The mattress in the main bed area was very comfortable. Not a typical “hard” mattress like many hotels in China. Another bonus: it was actually a KING size, which we rarely see outside the US! 4. The breakfast was Chinese style and the rice noodles were delicious! The hotel also had a beautiful courtyard area to eat outside. A few items to be aware of: 1. although the hotel was in a neighborhood near the lake, the neighborhood itself was a bit strange. We could tell it was meant to be a beautiful, well-to-do neighborhood of modern villas, but more than half the neighborhood was unused and/or under construction so it wasn’t as lively feeling in the evening because it was so dark and desolate seeming. It was beautiful in the daylight though! 2. This is not a big hotel chain, just an independent boutique style hotel operating in one of these villas. 3. There are no optimal eating spots near the hotel. You have to take a 20-30 minute Didi (taxi) ride to the nearest area with a lot of restaurants. However, if you like street food, there is a street food carnival area about 10 minutes away via walking (walk north along boardwalk bordering the lake.)
Overall, because of the kindness of the owners, the cleanliness and modernity, delicious breakfast, and comfortable mattress, we would definitely choose this hotel again for a one-night stopover.

The rooms are large and clean, free water, coffee, tea. Breakfast said to be included but I did not see any, perhaps too early.
