When you arrive at the pier, look for staff in red uniforms holding the hotel's name; they can help with your luggage. 👍 The room had neatly folded elephant towels. 👍 The air conditioning in the room was quite noisy, and I could hear the music from the bar outside. It's a non-refundable booking, so make sure to consider that carefully 🙉 especially if you book an expensive room, as there might be cheaper ones available later.

I forgot to take pictures of the room, but trust me—it’s spacious, spotless, and comes with a lovely balcony, which was a total win-win for me. The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, and to top it off, we had a daily visitor who stole our hearts—absolutely adorable!
Food-wise, we were spoiled for choice. So many options, and we especially loved the prasmanan style—buffet-style dining where you pick what you want. It was incredibly affordable and absolutely delicious. A true highlight of our stay!

I'd stayed in Phi Phi North before, but this time I chose Koh Phi Phi Don. The resort is super easy to get to, just a 3-minute walk to the left from the pier. It's a massive resort, and the two cats at the front desk were so gentle and cute! From the comfort of your bed, you're treated to an unbeatable ocean view! Breakfast was incredibly varied and even included plain congee. The pool offers stunning views of Long Beach. It's easy to book longtail boat tours for island hopping right outside the resort. The main street has self-service laundry facilities and a plethora of dining options, plus the 7-Eleven here surprisingly boasts a wider variety of items than those in Bangkok! You can also go scuba diving, and even seniors in their 70s can hike up to Viewpoint 2 for breathtaking panoramic views!

Our room was on the first floor, with only a glass door for privacy, but luckily it was quiet with not many people around. We chose to stay on the island for two nights so we could easily head out to sea the next day. The hotel is super close to the pier, only about a 5-minute walk. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel, but you'll need to walk a bit further to find a 7-Eleven. The hotel has a pool; it's not huge, but it's perfectly adequate. The breakfast was decent; the fried rice and fried noodles were delicious. The fried noodles were actually the best I've had during my entire trip to Thailand! Too bad the breakfast menu changes daily. The room wasn't very big, and the water from both the sink and shower was seawater—the quality wasn't great, it was really yellow and salty. Definitely bring your own shower filter!

The biggest plus is the location. It's a 400m walk from the pier. The room is average, nothing fancy. Small but cozy. The bathroom is also tiny, you can't really move around if there are two people. The shower is just a hole, but there's hot water. It's a standard room. The grounds are beautiful. But the pool, that's just fantastic! There's a big pool and a smaller one for kids. The views from the pool out to the sea are also great.

The hotel is located on top of a hill, so you need to take a shuttle bus to get up and down, which takes a few minutes. However, the shuttle only runs once an hour. Breakfast is quite basic; if you add it on separately, it costs 350 Thai Baht, or you can take the shuttle down to town to eat. For the ferry transfers, there are always staff to pick you up and drop you off at the pier, so there's no need to book in advance. I suggest increasing the frequency of the shuttle buses, ideally so they run on demand. The water park was partially open, and the slides were really fast.

1. The room hygiene was good; every corner was clean, and the bedding, towels, bath towels, and beach towels were all spotless. However, the room itself was rundown. Some bath towels had torn edges but were still given to guests.
2. The room decor was worse than that of a roadside motel. But the mattress was quite comfortable, and I slept well for these three nights, so I didn't feel too unsettled.
3. I booked a partial sea-view room, and the view was great. Room 302.
4. Getting in and out of the room daily was difficult; either you waited for a car or walked up and down a super steep hill. If you needed a buggy for transport, it was common to wait 10-15 minutes during peak check-in or check-out times.
5. The hotel's included breakfast was incredibly bad. I mean, *incredibly* bad! My 8-year-old child was charged extra, and three breakfasts cost 1200 THB (approximately 270 CNY), so paying 90 CNY for such poor breakfast was unacceptable.
6. The hotel only accepted cash and credit cards. Alipay and WeChat Pay were not accepted. While WeChat and Alipay can usually scan Thai merchant QR codes, this hotel's Thai payment QR code was for a private account, so WeChat and Alipay couldn't be used, or it would require direct transfer to a private account.
7. Service was almost non-existent. Other hotels offered shuttle services to nearby beaches or Tonsai. This hotel offered nothing but one longtail boat transfer on arrival day and one on departure day.
8. The fire dance and light show mentioned on Trip.com were nowhere to be found.
9. The two swimming pools were very small. You could reach the end in half a breath.
10. Let me talk about the most disappointing aspect. The beach in front of the hotel was in terrible condition – coarse sand, many rocks, a steep slope, and a very short stretch of beach. During the day, it was packed with people sunbathing. You had to queue for the two swings. The coral bleaching was severe. It didn't offer the conditions for snorkeling right outside the door. The shark point was a certain distance from the shore and dangerous to swim to at low tide. At high tide, it was a longtail boat route, making it even more dangerous.
The Lomudi Beach behind the hotel was long and gentle, requiring a 5-10 minute uphill and downhill walk from the hotel. Similarly, the coral bleaching was very severe and heartbreaking to see. Our family of three all brought snorkeling gear, but only my dad used it. My child and I just wandered along the shore.
Summary: If this hotel cost 500 CNY, it would be okay to stay. But if it's 1500 CNY like I paid, definitely don't book it. It's completely overpriced and was the worst and most boring three days of my 8-day, 7-night Phuket trip.
I went to Long Beach on Koh Phi Phi specifically for snorkeling opportunities without needing to go out on a boat, like in Koh Lipe, where you find starfish, sea urchins, stingrays, clownfish, various colorful fish, sea dragons, giant clams, and countless jellyfish along the coast.
But Koh Phi Phi didn't have any of that. The same rocky and coral environment had very little marine life. The color of the sea also didn't justify the effort of coming here.
Furthermore, eating and shopping on Long Beach were very inconvenient. You either ate the bad hotel food or paid 200 THB per person round trip by boat to Tonsai. Eating and drinking in Tonsai were also very expensive! And it was just the same old stuff.
The most fun part of the entire Koh Phi Phi was the 7-Eleven complex!!!

This is a fabulous place to stay. It’s tucked away in the corner of a beautiful beach so it’s peaceful and chilled but still walking distance (5mins) to the main shops, cafes, bars and harbour of PhiPhi.
The bamboo huts are very solid and appeared to be really well sealed so no bugs getting in and excellent at holding the cool air from the air conditioner inside. Very comfy bed, soft bed linen, good pillows, bathrobes, bottled water and good quality toiletries all provided. Gorgeous bathroom with great showers.
Welcome drink and snacks provided in the room.
The breakfast buffet was incredible- so much choice and everything was delicious. We also ate lunch here one day and dinner here one night and both were delicious,
The swim up pool bar was a real treat with happy hour 2 for one cocktails from 3-5 as well as delicious smoothies ice cream and made to order sushi available.
The pool is stunning of with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Pool towels supplied. Also possible to hire canoes and stand up paddle boards to take out on the bay. (1 hour included for free for all guests).
The staff were lovely at all times. A delight to deal with at all times.
Lastly yes you can hear the noise from the bar across the bay in the evenings from 10 to 2:30 am but the resort supplies ear plugs and we all slept perfectly fine every night.
If you are sensitive to noise maybe bring some noise blocking ear plugs but don’t let that be the reason you miss out on staying in this stunning resort.

A porter met us at the port and kindly carried our bags to the hotel, which was a nice and welcoming start to our stay. The rooms were as described; however, the hotel itself feels quite dated and is in need of general maintenance and updating. There was a noticeable mold smell in the room initially, though this disappeared once the air conditioning was turned on.
Breakfast was enjoyable, with good coffee and made-to-order eggs. The private beach was a highlight—quiet, calm, and never crowded. The pool water itself was clean, but unfortunately the surrounding area was littered with cigarette butts. While we were relaxing at the pool, another family began smoking. We informed the front desk, but no action was taken, which was disappointing, especially as there were visible no-smoking signs.
The view from the fourth floor is truly spectacular. We did have one uncomfortable moment when housekeeping entered our room from the deck around 9 a.m. while we were packing. We greeted her immediately; she apologised and left. There was a Koi pond in the main lobby was sad as the fish in the side pond had insufficient water to swim upright.
This hotel could be amazing. Its peaceful location on an otherwise busy island, along with the dramatic cliffside setting and pool deck, gives it enormous potential. Unfortunately, it feels like the property has passed its peak, leaving a sense of missed opportunity rather than what it could still become.

WWill LeonThis hotel is conveniently located right at the heart of the island, only 200m away from Tonsai Pier, Loh Dalum beach, McDonald's, etc. The hotel owner and his staff is very friendly and helpful. We were even surprised to receive coupons for free lunch buffet at a nearby restaurant. The rooms were a bit smaller than we expected and without windows but it was no big issue since we got all the basic amenities and they were very clean. I highly recommend this place for anyone planning to visit Phi Phi
RRodrigoBHere's a short review in English based on your notes:
---
This hotel is beautiful and tranquil, set in a tropical environment with many open-air areas. You need to go outside to reach the reception, restaurant, or bathroom from your room. They have done a fantastic job of combining luxury with a natural, jungle-like setting—something I've never seen before. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast is really good. If you're looking for a more exotic nature experience, this place is ideal. However, if you prefer a more standard/business stay, it might not be the best option.
GGuest UserThe facility was great and it was beautiful and it did offer a number of amenities but I will be honest the service wasn’t the greatest. I felt as if as a paying customer I was constantly being treated like I was a burden for asking for things like “extending my say” I don’t want to generalize and say it was all the workers there was a man named “Chan” who had a very passive aggressive attitude with me and other people there. I understand that it’s a 5 star resort and it is on the pricier side but it constantly felt like they were also trying to capitalize on the necessities you’ll need because it is on an isolated island. (Word of advice go to the local village for things like pharmacy needs, cosmetic and booking boats and excursions it’s 10 times cheaper.) At the resort they will do things like charge nearly 30$ for a bottle of sunscreen at the gift shop because they know you’ll need it. Going back to this I tried to extend my stay with them and Chan told me I was going to have to pay double the original price if I wanted to stay another night I quickly went online and saw that it was half the price that he quoted and just immediately felt quite put off and like he was doing whatever possible to milk us financially when we are already being generous and willing customers. I was in a group of four people and everyone in my group had stomach issues after eating at the breakfast buffet so that was a problem as well. We were also not told that on the resort is a mosque and you will be woken up to the call of prayer frequently. I have no problem with people exercising there religious traditions I would just like a forewarning about being woken at 5AM to hear the it.
ZZhenzhushiOverall, it was good. Despite the lively surroundings, the soundproofing was excellent, and the room was very quiet. The service was attentive; the front desk staff spoke a little Chinese, and there was a gentleman who escorted us to our room. Phi Phi Island is beautiful.
KKrystal9400Pros:
- The hotel is located on a separate island, offering a secluded and less crowded environment compared to Ton Sai, which creates a great vacation atmosphere.
- The kittens are adorable.
- The longtail boat is affordable at 1800 baht for 4 hours (though the facilities are basic, no sofa).
Cons:
1. In the first room, the lights flickered and suddenly went out at night, which was quite scary. I recorded many videos of this.
2. The front desk staff's English needs improvement, leading to some communication difficulties.
3. After changing rooms through Trip.com, the air conditioning in the second room leaked, dripping water at night and waking me up. There might have been other small animals in the room as I heard noises while sleeping.
4. The cleanliness of every room was poor. The bedding was old, the mosquito net had many holes, and there were various insects like ants and fleas.
5. The rocky area in front of the hotel is very sharp; remember to bring water shoes when going into the water.
6. Prices are very expensive. Mango sticky rice costs 65 RMB, and a single meal can cost 300-400 RMB.
GGuest UserThe room was nice but dated and needs a renovation. The bathroom was pretty poor though with really mouldy shower that leaked all over the floor and a broken toilet seat.
The staff however were brilliant at trying to resolve it but unfortunately couldn't so we came to an alternative arrangement, which was appreciated.
Long beach is nice but a bit quiet and a boat taxi away from most of the bars and restaurants. That's fine for some so just be aware of that.
GGuest UserUpon arrival, things got off to a bit of a rough start. Room 210, while advertised with a sea view, had a very limited one, which wasn't a huge deal. The most unpleasant part was the leaky pipe by the toilet. My request to switch rooms with the front desk wasn't successful. After adjusting my mindset and accepting it, it was fine—the water was clean anyway, and I was there to relax, so no need to dwell on it.
However, I do recommend the hotel renovates soon, otherwise, it's a waste of such a beautiful location.
Summary:
1. The facilities are indeed old. The exterior looks okay, but the interior is too basic. Friends accustomed to five-star hotels might find it hard to adapt. I had to comfort my child and convince myself, but once I accepted it, it was fine.
2. If you want a true, unobstructed sea view room, be sure to communicate with the hotel beforehand. Only rooms starting with '1' will do. The higher the room number, the higher up the hill it is, so be prepared for a cardio workout every time you head back to your room.
3. The service was generally good. I didn't feel any prejudice or mistreatment towards Chinese guests. The porters who helped with luggage were the best.
4. Cat lovers will overlook all the negatives and fall in love with this place, just like my son. He initially complained about everything, but after bribing many cats with cat food to hang out on our balcony, he was very sad to leave.
TTourAmoI recently stayed at The Hotel and it was a delightful experience! The staff were incredibly welcoming and efficient. My room was spacious, spotless, and offered a stunning city view. The bed was super comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The dining options were excellent, with delicious meals and attentive service. Highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay!
GGuest UserVery good position away from town 5mins walk. Picked up at the ferry checked in early no problem.
Walk out of hotel pool in front then the beach and free to use sun beds. Booked a 3hr tour at the guy next door very good left early it gets busy. Bar on the beach very friendly. For the price good location clean and friendly but it is old photos on the site were probably taken a while ago. 👍
HH RanatungaThis hotel stay was very nice. The pool view is stunning
The hotel owner is very helpful and friendly. She even upgraded our room without extra cost .
She even organised someone to pick us up and carry our bags from the pear and from hotel to pear at check-in and check out . She even keeps our bags in a place near to pear for us to pick up in the afternoon for our ferry trip.
Staff is very friendly too.
We really enjoyed our two days stay and definitely recommend this hotel stay
Will come back again with my family
