"While the location was decent and convenient, my overall experience during my 3-night stay was disappointing. The biggest issue was the shower — the water pressure was extremely weak, to the point where showering felt like a chore rather than something refreshing after a long day. Soundproofing was also very poor. I could clearly hear my neighbour’s alarm, footsteps outside the room, and noise from upstairs, which affected my ability to properly rest. Breakfast was acceptable, though not particularly memorable. That said, the ladies working during breakfast were very friendly and welcoming, which was a nice touch. Overall, I would not choose to stay here again. I even considered changing hotels on my second night, but the inconvenience of packing and moving deterred me."

"The hotel has a great location, right by the lake. If you have luggage, it's best to take bus number 4 directly from the train station to the hotel, as the train station is on a hilltop, and the hotel is a 650-meter downhill walk. The hotel staff at the front desk are exceptionally kind, very welcoming and attentive; importantly, the male staff are handsome and the female staff are beautiful. After check-in, remember to ask the hotel reception for a free public transport card, as they need to register your information and print it out, then you can ride the bus freely. The hotel breakfast is good, especially the window seats with a pleasant lake view. In such a beautiful setting as Lugano, taking a walk along the lake, enjoying the sunshine with relaxed locals, staying in such a historic and wonderful hotel, and meeting such wonderful people is truly a fantastic experience."

"Felt like a home away from home—if you were the great-grandchild of a wealthy aristocrat who owned a villa in one of the most immaculate places on earth. Grand, yes, but somehow still cozy-feeling. Staff treated us like family, service was above and beyond, location made everything easily accessible, but you won't have to go too far as you'd be content spending day after day lounging by the lake, pool, lawn, or just in the well-appointed rooms."

"If you're a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, this place might not be for you. It's right by a busy street, so expect constant traffic noise that can easily disturb sleep. However, the natural surroundings are lovely – the lake is just across the road below, and you'll even spot early morning joggers before sunrise. For light sleepers, keeping the windows closed, running the AC, and having earplugs handy could help."

Giulia Giacommo, and really everyone at breakfast, - fantastic service. "The hotel is well located in the center of Lugano, which is its great and unique strength. Unfortunately, the hotel and its services leave something to be desired. It was awarded its 3 stars in the 70s and unfortunately has not evolved with the times. (No visible renovation) Its furniture is damaged and more than outdated. It looks like a parody of a retirement home. Not to mention the smell of oil and tires that fills the hotel, which gives the impression of sleeping at a garage. We arrived at 9 p.m. at the hotel and asked to be able to park our vehicle for the night and the next day until 4 p.m. The lady who welcomed us asked us to pay the 15 francs because the parking is paid. And to check the next morning with her colleague to be able to leave the vehicle in the parking lot after the 11 a.m. checkout. (small clarification, we are between seasons so the hotel is almost empty). The next morning the gentleman at reception (who behaved more than dishonestly) told us that it was not possible. So I paid 15 francs for nothing knowing that at night the parking meters are deactivated in town. So the parking is free. The breakfast is of poor quality. There are no pastries or pastries. I suggest to any traveler to look for another hotel than this one, because given the prices there are much better for the same price, or even cheaper."
