"Lovely venue, opposite the park entrance at the bottom of the high street so perfect location. Our room was spacious and spotless. Would highly recommend. Only downside is the parking area outside the pub/hotel is restricted until 6pm through to 8.30am. This means in theory you could park at 4pm and then remove the car at 8.30am but we were advised to park in the Pound Lane car park (short walk away) and we chose to do so."

"Tried to give 5 stars but website wouldn’t let me Excellent twin accommodation for an excellent price bigger and better rooms than Travelodge cheaper too Breakfast was good and plentiful (but only available till 9am snack bar in the centre but didn’t use so can’t say how bad or good it was.Residents can use all the facilities at the centre including pool steam room & sauna. Clean well apportioned room with desk, hairdryer and kettle coffee etc. Excellent value for money with breakfast included"

"Party central. Good location right in the centre of town. Beautiful old beamed inn. Good breakfast. We stayed Friday and Saturday and our room overlooked the high street. Customers sitting at tables on the street below our windows, which we couldn’t open because of the cigarette smoke drifting upwards. Friday night is live band night. Very good band, loud, finished dead on 11pm. Saturday, customers outside chatting and drinking until 2am Sunday morning."

"Room was ok and served its means, breakfast was a complete shambles, breakfast is served between 8-10 in Engine Room, on arrival the room was set up for a kids party and was told to get our toast and continental breakfast from there, which was lacking in variety, then go next door in to cafe used by everyone to queue up for teas/coffee and a cooked breakfast, the cooked breakfast from the hot plates was cold, by time we got back to our table our toast was cold, no staff coffee just passable, we have stayed in many hotels far and wide, even down to Travelodge and Premier Inns and this is by far the worst one."
