"Yes, one can locate a newer hotel with more amenities; however, S Hotel has everything needed to enjoy Jamaica within an easy commute. It is a Jamaican owned hotel staffed by locals. A wonderful selection of freshly prepared food and beverages were always available. Spa services were easily booked. Free and low-cost activities were available all day. There were very few service delays. While staff appreciated tips, one didn't feel obligated to carry cash. The hotel was safe for an all-girls' trip. We relaxed in the ocean, did water aerobics in the pool, attempted to learn Jamaican dance steps, learned about coffee and rum,...the experiences were varied and available. Go. Renew. Refresh."

"1. Mosquitoes in the room and throughout the property. 2. Free breakfast was not really breakfast, and was cold or did not have vegetarian options. Can't even get proper toast. Our room was supposed to include breakfast vouchers / free breakfast, not just whatever gross buffet food they put out. 3. They walked into our room, ignoring the do not disturb sign, without knocking, while we were in the shower. 4. The bathroom doorknob was broken and we reported it, and they did not fix it. 5. The hotel shuttle times are very limited, and if you don't take the shuttle to the city, they won't pick you up, which makes zero sense. 6. The airport shuttle was not operating on our check out day, with no explanation other than it doesn't run today. We incurred extra costs due to no proper breakfast, no hotel shuttle, no airport shuttle. 7. The hotel is up on a hill, with beautiful views, but it is far from everything, on a very noisy road, and it was very noisy until very late into the night, making it hard to sleep."
