"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would gladly recommend it to others. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The location was perfect, close to major attractions and convenient transportation. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of fresh options. Housekeeping maintained high standards throughout my stay. Overall, the hotel offered excellent value for money and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I truly enjoyed my experience and look forward to staying here again in the future."

"The location of hotel appeals to us both we both enjoy cycling, running and walking around this area. This was our second visit and we were amazed at all the staff still there and the fact they remained happy in their employment. The management are always available for contact should you have any issues and they will correct any problems you may incur. I would advise to take the premium upgrade to experience breakfast on the outside deck which on a sunny sunrise morning definitely takes some beating. The buffets served over the festive period on the special evenings were delightful and presented in such a professional manor I have a food allergy and all my no go areas were well documented and no doubts were assured for me to eat without concern. Food staff location will always be a big draw for this boutique venue to be successful staff to mention Sarah, Susan, Juan, Hassan, Andreas, Roseann,housemaids, chefs and kitchen staff. We enjoyed seeing you all again and I apologise if I’ve missed any off the list. Good luck for 2025 keep up the amazing work you all put into to daily routines. Also returning guests year on year is a very positive statement and we will definitely return again and truly appreciate your hospitality given over Christmas & New Year’s."

"The hotel is old but completely renovated. The location is perfect, and the value for money is very good. The pool is very inviting. However, it has two drawbacks: one is the parking area, which is impossible and also a bit unsafe due to theft. But the worst thing of all is a karaoke bar in a run-down shopping center across the street that blasts music all night long. Perhaps it's to attract customers, since there's hardly anyone there, but it's impossible to sleep at night."

"The worst experience was right after arrival: instead of the selected extra-paid room with a garden view, we were given an almost underground room with a view of the wall (from the door), without windows. Dark dungeon. It was possible to solve this only next day by changing the room and paying another extra fee. The reception was unable to find a potty and a high chair for the children. Hotel was clean. The main meals were excellent, the snacks could have been better. For children only overly sweetened drinks, we diluted it with water to make it drinkable. But that's everywhere... Children appreciated the heated pool. Good location. Good staff."

"I so wanted to rate this 5 Stars but for me 5 Stars means it was a faultless holiday which it was not. The positives are. Staff As always Riu staff at the hotel were fantastic especially Juan Jose who went above and beyond in trying to help. Food The quality and variety of food was the high standards expected from the Riu chain. Location With the beach so close the location is perfect going downhill but if you book to go on a trip try and find the short cut via floor 11 to the bus stop at the top of the hill. What went wrong On arrival after using the sink a puddle appeared on the floor, once reported it was fixed but room service must have been aware prior to our arrival. The safe needed resetting twice which was done quickly and no great hardship. The shower pole and shower head fell off the wall. Time to fix was disappointing as it required the shower not to be used while something set. More significantly when reporting it to reception as soon as I said shower the receptionist seemed to know what had happened possible because it has occurred in other rooms. There were three occasions when the lift was unable to be used for floors 5, 8 and 10. No great issue other than on way to room go one floor higher and walk down, when leaving room walk one floor down. Summary overview None of the above spoilt our holiday but considering the hotel has undergone a refurbishment at the end of 2025 I was surprised at the above and the flaking paint everywhere, and trivial things like lift displays not working. If I were the CEO Luis Riu I would be concerned at how easy it was to find these issues so soon after the refurbishment. The final factor for not giving 5 stars is the Riu Calypso is a premium price hotel, if I pay a lot, I expect a lot! Finally About to look at booking for a similar period in 2027, so yes, we would stay again!"

"I always say in my reviews that you need two things to make your stay pleasant on any holiday; a good bed and a good shower. The Tao Apartments in Morro Jable had one of these - the good bed. The shower was the dreaded fixed head, high up, unmovable type that most people dread. The signs in the hotel are, for the most part, non existent in the hotel and we arrived in the dark, the hotel was in darkness and the reception closes at 3 pm. It was very difficult to locate our rooms but we managed eventually. That being said, we enjoyed our stay, the hotel is near the beach, it is quiet, the cleaners are excellent, the rooms are spotless, as the reception closes at 3 pm you are left to your own devices but that suits me fine. The hotel has a bottom floor sun area with about three seats and no sun loungers, the pool up on the roof looked dirty and no one went in it over the 10 days that we were there. (It was December/January after all). There are about a maximum of seven sun loungers up on the roof and are bogging and in need of replacing, so we never lay on them yet. I do hope my review doesn't sound negative because I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely return."

"We stayed here for nine nights as a group of two people. The location of this duplex apartment is excellent. The furnishings are okay, although the cupboards and doors (bathroom) on the bedroom floor need renovation. The lady at the reception and the housekeeping staff are friendly. However, we had a major problem with the jacuzzi. From day 2 we reported that the jacuzzi was not functioning A technician has been by every day since day 4, but we were not able to use the jacuzzi during our stay. Submitted a written complaint upon returning home, but no response. Recalled after 5 weeks, still no response. Very disappointing, considering the price range of the apartment (we paid 190 euros per night). That is why this accommodation scores a very poor score."

"We stayed at apartments Igramar Morro Jable Fuerteventura and unfortunately left extremely disappointed. On arrival, the apartment was acceptable, although there were a few negatives. The beds were uncomfortable, there was no welcome pack, or gesture on arrival, and the ‘sea view’ we paid extra for was very limited. None of these issues would have ruined our holiday on their own. The main problem began on the third day when we started hearing loud bangs and drilling noises. By the fourth day, it became clear that major refurbishment work was taking place in the complex. The apartments immediately adjacent to ours were being stripped out and renovated with noise continuing from 8.30am until after 7pm. This made it very difficult to relax and enjoy what was advertised as a peaceful adult’s only environment. We raised our concerns with the management and explain how disruptive the work was. The only response offered was a 10% discount if we returned the following year, which did not address the impact the refurbishment had on our stay. We also requested compensation but received none. What disappointed us most was not the refurbishment itself- maintenance and improvements are understandable but the apparent lack of consideration for guests who had paid for a quiet holiday and were not informed about the scale of work before arrival. If you are considering staying here think again as management clearly don’t care about guests when you have paid. Had we been informed about the refurbishment work before travelling, we could have made an informed decision about whether to proceed with the booking. Unfortunately we felt that guest comfort, Communication and customer service were not given the priority they deserved."

"We have been each year since 2023 and every time has got worse. We came this year with our young son who is 10 months old and booked a higher room (junior suite with sea and pool view) so we could see the evening entertainment which was now moved inside. We were not told of this as in previous years (sept) the entertainment has been outside. We were told it’s cos it’s now cold but the temperature was 35 degrees. Food is never not and it’s much of the same every day with a recycled dish of what was served at lunch now served for dinner. Reception messed up check in. Not enough staff and most staff we miserable. Transfer time is nearly 2 hours so think of this before booking as Jandia is far away from the airport! The guest manager Marina is normally very friendly and approachable, I felt this year nobody really seemed to care. The cleanliness we have never had an issue with, always clean and towels changed and toilet paper daily. Water changed daily in our room. Entertainment team are always lovely, but it’s year there didn’t seem to be any get up and go. No usual trying to include everyone. No games for the kids. Pool bar closes at 6pm along with the pool. Getting a sunbed was easy, some of the lifeguards are great, others are more interested in smoking down the side of the building. I hate writing a negative review, as I said it’s a beautiful place and a nice hotel but it being badly managed and the vibe is off this time. Something has changed and we can’t decide what it is."

The hotel offered what we had been looking for - delicioua cousine, no hustle or towel wars at the swimming pool and friendly, hospitable staff. It was a first week of three we have spent on the island, and the 2nd hotel we went was not even close to the quality bar the RIU Palace had raised."

"The hotel location was wonderful and the food was very tasty, but Manuel (bald guy with glasses), who worked in the dining area, was a very unpleasant man. Lunch was served until 3:00 PM, and we arrived at 2:40 PM thinking we could quickly eat something in 5 minutes because we were not very hungry. Manuel apparently thought we wouldn’t understand the Spanish expression “¿Ahora?!” and started looking at his watch in an annoyed way because he had already set the tables. We still had 20 minutes to calmly finish our lunch, but we felt rushed because of the way he was looking at us. After that, for the rest of our stay, he behaved very strangely — either being overly fake-friendly or making fun of us. This man should not be working in this hotel if he dislikes his job so much."

"We arrived at 20.00 and I was'nt sent details for how to get in until we were on our way to the airport on the day so I was a bit anxious. We parked in the villae car park and found the keysafe easily enough. We then had to find our room in the dark. The apartment was spacious and clean with everything you need. I was able to get a kettle from reception the next morning. Although we could see the pool and sun loungers we never managed to find our way to them as the signage was non existent and the building is a really weird shape. There's a big Spar supermarket about two minutes away. The location in the village is great. These apartments are basic and cheap and for what we paid we were highly satisfied."

"The apartment location is probably the best we've ever had, offering amazing sea views. We had a quiet double bedroom which is more than adequate with safe in the wardrobe. The shower room was also adequate. The living area/ kitchen is big, leading onto a large balcony with an amazing sea view. Lovely furniture in a clean environment, it's ideal for a relaxing holiday. The sitting room also had a sofa bed. We will definitely be coming back here. Thanks to the lovely staff for make our stay so good."
