"Beyond the great location, there's nothing else positive to say. Overall, it's comparable to a basic, no-frills budget hotel in China."

📍 Teatralny proezd, 2, Tverskoy, Moscow

"I'd come back to Moscow just for this hotel. I learned about this hotel, which has existed since 1905, from the book 'A Gentleman in Moscow.' It truly lives up to its reputation as the 'flower of Russian hotels.' I stayed for three nights and was extremely satisfied. Our room was a 'Historical Suite,' which actually consisted of two separate rooms, two beds, and two bathrooms, separated by a curtained door. It would comfortably accommodate a family of four, though it was just my father and I traveling. The breakfast was incredibly lavish and of very high quality, featuring champagne, caviar, various fresh juices, and a wide array of food. The staff were both attractive and highly professional. The Savva restaurant inside the hotel, which I believe used to have a Michelin star, was excellent; I had one meal there and would highly recommend it. The borscht, fish, and meat were all very good. In short: it's expensive for a reason, and I'll definitely be back."

"Overall, the hotel is good; they just need to improve the room cleaning and install a REAL refrigerator, as stated in the booking information. The metro is within walking distance, and VDNKh and the Ostankino Tower are nearby. There's a shopping center with food courts. The Kremlin is about six metro stops away on one line. To avoid road and train noise, ask for a room higher up."

"1. I booked a small suite. My wife took a shower at night and I found that the water was yellow. I asked her to come out immediately and called someone to take a look. The water was still yellow after leaving it for more than ten minutes. I was told to wait for another half hour. Wait and see, I got angry and asked him to contact the manager immediately and asked him to change rooms. At first, they told me that they had no room, so I called them again and asked them to contact the manager to change rooms. It took about an hour. My wife's hair was wet, and I wrapped myself in a bath towel and moved from the 6th floor to the 3rd floor in embarrassment. Later I found that it was larger than the previous small suite. So those who had a room at the beginning were unwilling to change, but it was already one o'clock in the morning... 2. After changing rooms, we wanted to store the fresh milk we bought and found that the small refrigerator was locked. I called the front desk and was told that a deposit of 2,000 rubles was required to open the refrigerator. I said that I would not drink the things covered by the insurance and only needed to store them. She said it was okay for what I bought, and I accepted the deposit request. After a while, a young man came and said that a deposit of 3,000 rubles was required. I told the front desk that the deposit was 2,000, and he said that I heard wrong. I also asked him why there is a deposit for the hotel refrigerator here, and he said that if I did not drink the refrigerator The deposit will be refunded when I check out the items in it. I gave him the deposit and asked for the receipt, but he said he didn't have it... Later, a young man came and took a bag and took away all the items in the refrigerator, and I was able to store them. Several bottles of fresh milk worth several hundred rubles, and then when checking out, they told me that I heard wrongly, 3000 rubles was for opening the refrigerator! ! And there is no receipt, just kill me with a smile! I spent 10 minutes insisting on asking for the receipt and contacting Ctrip. Of course, it was useless. There was a refrigerator fee! I just heard it wrong! I store 300 rubles of milk for 3000 rubles! I heard him wrong! ? ! In the end, Ctrip gave me a 120 coupon. I personally feel that Ctrip did not do enough. This is not a question of money, but of platform supervision and compatriots who have been discriminated against and ripped off and cannot give in... But at that time, I was on an ant In the market, it was minus 10 degrees Celsius and my hands were so cold that I could not answer the phone. I just wanted to end it as soon as possible. 3. The Russians in the hotel are not enthusiastic, or even cold, but a few Central Asian employees working there are more enthusiastic. It’s not just the hotel either. From entering to exiting the customs, I met many Russians who were impatient with us, including the old lady selling ice cream. At first, I saw that she was patiently explaining to the people in front of me. When we arrived, we didn’t speak. , before she started translating, we had a conversation there. I picked a flavor at random and said I wanted to find one. She started to speak Russian impatiently on the other side again, and the person next to me pointed at the price and told me the price. I just realized that she asked for money first and then gave me the ice cream. I was a little angry. As soon as I put the money on the plate and took the ice cream, I stood on the edge and stared at the person behind me, but her face didn't turn red and her heart didn't beat. Waiting for the next person to explain patiently, it is really blatant discrimination. I bought a translator worth 5,000 yuan, but I didn’t get a chance to use it! By the way, I bought ice cream twice, and the old lady at the other stall was very patient and even brought out a Chinese menu, but there was another one... 3. The hotel doesn’t provide enough toiletries every day. You don’t care whether I use them or not. After I clear the table, you should put them according to the guest room linen requirements. How can a St. Regis hotel that costs nearly 2,000 yuan a night have this kind of structure and management? The floor mat next to the bed is also missing day by day. Once I tried to leave a tip of 200 rubles, and it was handled well. However, I had already asked the local international students before coming here. This is not a tipping country. There is no need to tip, including when eating and paying the bill. The waiter took it. A handwritten note (RECOMMEND 10% TIP), but when I asked for change, the tip was compulsorily collected. After carefully looking at the local diners around me, I didn’t see the waiter take out the small piece of paper... I will give what is due, but Just for us or other foreigners, I bought one last year ⌚️ (Believe me, except for the Central Asians who come to work, I almost only see Chinese people, so if you don’t kill the Chinese, who will you kill?) 4. I didn’t expect the Sino-Russian friendship to bring me any benefits. I just wanted it to be fair and reasonable, but I’m still disappointed! Except the BBQ didn't disappoint. Facilities: It's relatively old, but it's miles away from Regis in China... Hygiene: The water for changing rooms is bright yellow, but other things are fine Environment: Very close to Red Square and just outside the subway Service: Discrimination, customer rip-off, and extremely inefficient"

"I'm thrilled with the hotel! My husband gave us a gift for our wedding anniversary – we stayed in the presidential suite at this hotel. I think it's called the Empire. It has a luxurious bathroom, two bedrooms, and even a sauna. The room has everything! From the smallest toiletries to a washing machine and even a prayer rug. This surprised me greatly, as I'd never seen anything like this in a room before and for a long time I couldn't figure out what it was for. The hotel is located in the heart of the capital's party scene and central attractions. The Kremlin is a 15-minute walk away. Petrovka Street is certainly enchanting during evening strolls; the surrounding area has a wonderful atmosphere. The hotel staff is a whole other story. They are very attentive, responsive, and always smiling. Whatever you ask, they help with such zeal, as if they were just waiting for our request. The hotel is apparently brand new; everything is very fresh and clean. Special thanks to the staff for the hearts with swans for our anniversary."

Pentahotel Moscow, Arbat ★★★★
"Was very difficult to find the hotel, great location but doesn’t give you a hotel vibe. No irons in the room , you have to go to a different floor to a public ironing room to get your clothes ironed. They did offer me a shattaf for both rooms which was awesome. I was told there’s no storage room to keep my luggage for two days -as I was traveling to St. Petersburg-. But when I was about to leave I found that there is indeed a storage room, but was not offered it when I asked. So I changed my booking to a different hotel on my return to Moscow , who happily kept my luggage with them until I retuned."

"The environment is decent, but at night, there's a lot of street racing, and the noise is just too much. Our room was right by the road, and the racing went on until very, very late. The breakfast was especially good. It's just that street noise; everything else was great, and it was convenient to get everywhere."

"I booked three and a half months in advance. I immediately realized I had selected the wrong date and requested a change, but they were completely unable to accommodate any modifications, resulting in me losing the cost of one night. The front desk staff spoke English, their service attitude was acceptable, and luggage storage was available."

"Great hotel! The staff is friendly and helpful! For my birthday they gave me a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and a cake! There is everything for a comfortable stay. Clean and tidy. The rooms were cleaned every day. And the main feature of the hotel is the swimming pool, sauna and hammam, which are already included in the price of the stay! The best hotel I have stayed in Moscow! I will definitely come again and recommend it to my friends!"
