This is a hotel I've stayed at three times. I love the old building and its design, and I always look forward to coming back. The location is great, the service is excellent, and the decor hasn't changed, which gives it a very familiar feel. I'll definitely return if I get the chance.

I love staying in this hotel. The building is very beautiful built during the late Qing dynasty. Once step inside the hotel, it is like step into another world away from the touristy Laomendong :)

Word of advice for people who didnt know, the hotel is right smack in the middle of non-car access area. After alighting, you should use trip app call function to call the hotel so that they bring a old trolley to pull your luggage for you. It is in a tourism spot so super convenient to eat and shop. But it is a door that is at a side lane, and also that is kept closed at all times, see pic 4. At night, if you are lucky, there are 2 lantern lights lit for you, see pic 5. However, the girls at the lobby are super helpful. They operate the dining area across, so they sometimes disappear from counter. But they are helpful when you ask them things. They even ordered a late night noodles for me when i told them i do not have a ******* app. Lovely stay.

The environment here is absolutely fantastic, no complaints there. The amenities are great too, especially the bed – it's incredibly comfortable. My only minor issues were that the air conditioning unit seemed a bit old and made some noise, and the lighting was a little too dim for my preference. Other than that, everything was excellent. It's a peaceful oasis in the middle of a bustling area. You have to walk a bit to catch a taxi or rent a bike, but that's a small price to pay. I'll definitely be back. The reception staff at the entrance were also very welcoming, thoughtful, and provided attentive service. Breakfast was a bit simple, but good enough.

Beautiful hotel in the middle of the ancient town, selection of individually choice good service, sometimes with translator app, but always helpful.

I really like this hotel! How come everything matches my preferences decoration,amenities, cat, food and even restaurant music! Highly recommend hotel’s restaurant best dinner in Nanjing this time! And staff are very friendly help me to make whole family feel satisfied thank you!

We really loved this hotel. It doesn’t have all the gadgets and it’s a five minute walk away from the taxi drop at Laomen gate, but it has incredible charm and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Ask for a quiet room. The alleys are old and interesting. The wall is around the corner. The staff is super nice.

Perfect stay, great location in Laomendong, would stay again. The restaurant was also fantastic.

A very nice hotel in the old town of Nanjing with friendly and helpful staff. The room was bright, clean, and equipped with everything you could need. Breakfast was served outside the hotel at a restaurant directly across the street. Guests could choose their own breakfast selection. It's recommended to experience the quiet atmosphere in the streets around the hotel early in the morning. It gets very busy during the day.

Excellent localization near laodongmen , good breakfast included in our choice. Hotel is clean, traditional and with very nice decoration. Near by a selection of restaurants and shops. 25 minutes from Nanjing south railway station and 20 minutes from the museum memorial of Nanjing massacre. The reception was good at the hotel and they can keep your luggage if you arrive earlier than 2:00pm or leave later than 12:00.

Very quaint and quiet place located in the heart of the Laomedong historic area. The front Desk was super helpful and managed to register us for a visit of the Memorial Hall of the Victims in the Nanjing Massacre which wasn't that easy and took them a lot of effort as we are foreign passport holders. Thanks for that! Overall great choice for a short weekend trip to Nanjing

Charming hotel in the old part of town with friendly staff, great bedroom and delicious breakfast.

this is my 2nd time staying at the huaji hotel and i love it so much! it is cozy, cute, and comfortable, plus it is convenient to get around other parts of Nanjing! plua, the breakfasr is super yummy. 10/10, will be back!
