"We booked a 2 room cabin, the place was quiet that was nice but the place wasn't clean a dirty oven try left in the oven! Plates with crumbs on them! The bathroom fan didn't work so the cabin was super super damp, no soaps or shampoo dispensers were all empty! The bathroom and toilet door didn't close properly or quietly. The main bedroom must have a leak somewhere it rained on the last day and the carpet in the morning was super wet along the window. Couches were uncomfortable feels like it pushes you head forward and the TV had no Internet connection to watch Netflix like advertised. The place is very run down and needs a really really good clean! The accommodation was close to town and quiet. I wouldn't recommend this place spend an extra $100 and stay somewhere else"

"Arrived late at night, the kind landlady patiently waited and guided warmly, the room was very clean, the kitchen utensils, tableware, coffee pots and other arrangements were well arranged, the facilities were all available, the bathroom was spacious and bright, and the five-star praise!"

ASURE Fountain Resort Motel

"Clean, Comfortable and Affordable accomodation. We stayed for a week as a family group. Units are serviced daily. Ours had a small kitchenette which was sufficient for light cooking. 80s style playground and a swimming pool helped to entertain kids. Convenient location - walk to beach or easy to drive to Nelson City or to Richmond and beyond. Close drive to supermarkets. New owners took over in March and are renovating/upgrading the units. They were wonderful to deal with and were able to do A booking date change for us which we greatly appreciated. We would stay there again."

"Parautane Lodge is a delightful B & B perched high above Nelson. The Harris room in which we stayed was well proportioned and had a modern bathroom. Other rooms may have better views, but they are smaller. The breakfast room and choices were excellent and the staff couldn't be more friendly."

"Beautiful large one bedroom unit, very clean, has two TV s(one in bedroom). Large bathroom with a spa bath, good shower. Kitchenette has everything you need for simple cooking. Bed is comfortable, electrical blanket is a plus. City view from balcony and mountain views from front verandah are very pleasing. Lovely friendly host lady makes our stay even more enjoyable. Location is central as well, easy drive/walk in and out. Loved it. Highly recommended."

"This was the most disappointing hotel of the trip. I requested a quiet room when booking, but ended up with a room right by the road, and there were even mosquitoes inside. They advertised a kitchen, but it was already locked by 8 PM. After some negotiation, they opened it, but I couldn't find any knives or forks. I just wanted to peel a pear, really."

"We booked two nights, but no one came to change the towels or anything. The facilities were complete, and we could cook, but only two of the four stoves were working; the others were broken. The hotel only closes at 3 PM, and we didn't know that. Since we booked through Ctrip, they didn't send us an email. We arrived at 10 PM but couldn't check in. In the end, other guests helped us contact the hotel staff and told us the key location and room number. So why didn't Ctrip leave our email address with them?"
