"We have just stayed in the hotel royal hills as part of our coach tour. When we arrived there was a school party of 22 15/17 year old mixed group. We were given room 211, the children were let loose to run around the hotel, teaching staff had no control and spent most of there time in the bar area. We had them knocking on doors especially ours as it was next to lift, stairs and sun terrace. I would say DO NOT accept that room if offered to you as even without the uncontrollable youths it is so close to the the lift when guests are stood there you can hear every word. Staff tried to help but no other rooms available so we left before our trip was over to stay in another hotel."

"The hotel was great and very clean! The breakfast was spectacular. The only downside is that the hotel is far from Sorrento, and you have to get off the main road and walk downhill. It would be helpful if the confirmation included the phone number to call the shuttle that takes you to the hotel. The service was excellent, and the woman who ran it spoke five languages!"

"I made a mistake with my booking I book twice and they charge me an extra 60.00 euro. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel outdated, rates too high! Also, I requested a late check out and they wanted an extra 100 euro for 3 extra hours. They would not keep my care for couple hours after checking out. To use the pool you must spend 20.00 euro. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel."

"We had an excellent experience at La Bussola. The hotel owner was incredibly kind and attentive from the very first moment. She provided us with very useful information on how to get around the island, where to catch the buses, what places to visit in both Capri and Anacapri, and how to easily reach them using public transportation. She also recommended excellent restaurants, including options open until midnight, as well as places to store our luggage, which was very helpful since we had an early ferry. Thanks to her recommendations, we were able to make the most of our visit to the island. The breakfast was very good, and the service was always warm and friendly. The accommodation is exactly as shown in the photos, so there were no surprises upon arrival. Furthermore, the room and bathroom are private, comfortable, well-maintained, and clean. The place is beautiful, located in a very quiet area, ideal for relaxing and escaping the noise. Without a doubt, the staff's warmth and friendliness made all the difference and contributed to making our stay unforgettable. Thank you so much for everything!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful location. The views from the rooms, lobby, and pool are simply stunning! The staff is friendly. Our only gripes are that you can't purchase or have dinner delivered (only paninis are available for lunch) and that the air conditioning turns off around 5:00 AM, which isn't ideal in the summer, as it gets quite warm at night. This was, of course, resolved after a call to reception."

"We arrived here on an escorted tour and first impressions were not good. Hotel very tired and dated, our room was tiny and on the busy road side. Better than the couple from our tour who were in the basement. Beware floor -1 in the lift, you do not want to be down there. Advertised shuttle bus into town does not exist and the advertised rooftop sun terrace was not open, and no amount of pleading with the staff would get them to open it. Local bus service does get you into Sorrento (5km away) but downhill it is quite a rollercoaster ride! Taxis seem to be extremely expensive in the area. The food was tailored for UK guests I think, so was not authentic Italian cuisine - one of the main reasons for coming to Italy. The "Gala" dinner on our last night was not a triumph. Bless the staff though who tried their best."

"The location is fantastic, very close to Piano train station, making it super convenient for getting around. The room was spacious and extremely clean, and they even provided a good selection of drinks and snacks. The breakfast was also delicious. The staff were incredibly warm and responsible, always doing their best to accommodate our needs. We booked two nights, but in different room types. The staff seamlessly coordinated our stays, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. Furthermore, after checking out, we had a small unexpected hiccup with our travel plans. The owner was incredibly kind and not only helped us figure out a solution but also personally delivered our luggage to the train station. We're so grateful for that! Overall, the experience was excellent. If I ever visit again, I'll definitely choose to stay here!"

"I stayed at the Sisters Hostel in May 2026 as leader of a school trip. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, going out of their way to support. The food was exceptional, and great care was taken when dealing with dietary requirements and allergies. The hotel is located very conveniently for Sorrento, as well as for Pompeii and Vesuvius. Rooms were clean and spacious and met our needs very well. We had an outstanding experience and are very grateful to the team at Sisters Hostel. Would definitely return!"
