"The first time in my life that I got a bad review on a hotel! We arrived at the hotel at 14:40 in the afternoon and were told that the room had not been cleaned up and asked us to wait for a while. I felt a little uncomfortable at that time. We drove for more than three hours and the children and adults were very tired. They told us that the room could be cleaned up in about half an hour. We were out to play and just endured it. As a result, we waited until 15:30 in the afternoon and were told that a room was cleaned up and we had to wait again! ! The hotel has breached the contract if we cannot check in at the check-in time! There was also a small episode in the middle. I went to make an appointment for the hot springs. The front desk told me that it was full today. I asked what about tomorrow. He said that no one had made an appointment tomorrow and it would open at 10 o'clock. I said I would make an appointment at 10 o'clock. The front desk guy said: Ah, do you have to be on time? No, I want to ask, I will check out at 12 o'clock, what time do you want me to make an appointment? ? ? ? We stayed in a room with a yard. The yard had a very bad sewer smell. The room also had a sewer smell. The hot spring pool was small and dirty. There was a small hot pot for meals. You could also order food, but you had to make reservations in advance. The price was also very expensive. Even if you ate sparingly, it was 100 per person. Cold potato shreds were 38. A bowl of soup was more than 120. The cheapest soup was 88. You couldn't order any takeout or supper. If you didn't eat or ate less at mealtime, you would be hungry in the middle of the night. It's really hard to describe. During the May Day holiday, I stayed in countless hotels, big and small, for 780 a night. It was rare to find such a bad hotel in all aspects at this price."

"For a hotel in a small county, there's little to complain about here. The room was clean & warm and came with a soft bed & a hot shower - both of which were appreciated after some long, cold days out. Seeing the glow of the hotel at night was always a comforting sight when heading home. Check in & cleaning staff were friendly & helpful, even when working over the holiday period. Had no issues checking in as a foreigner. Staff were also more than happy for me to leave my bags on the last day, & let my partner & my friend hang out in the large lobby as we waited for various cabs. Breakfast was not bad. I especially enjoyed the pickles. Location wise, it's within walking distance of the old square & old train station, as well as Khitan Street & the snack street. Ningcheng center (Tianyi) itself is small so everything is really within walking distance, though in winter you might want to take a cab to anywhere a little further away. Ningcheng Railway station is probably not walkable, but only takes around 15 minutes in a car (there's also rental ebikes all over the city, which might be preferable when the weather is warmer). Overall a very pleasant stay."
