"The hotel is just inside the walled city, which is easily reached through a small door opening on the wall. The room we were given was large, clean and had all the amenities you needed. The receptionist was also very friendly and informative, providing us with great dinner suggestions, which were really delicious. The only thing you have to lug your luggage from the outside wall to the hotel which we were warned about. And our room was just above the loudspeaker from the attached restaurant, which fortunately shuts at 10.30pm. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel."

"The hotel building looks a bit old, but it's still very clean. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, like a painting. This is my favorite small town in Portugal. It's a short drive to both sides of the sea, and the views are incredibly beautiful! The most convenient thing is having its own parking lot, and there's also a swimming pool, which is great. If you stay in the old town, you have to park in an outside lot and drag your luggage in. From our hotel, it was only a few minutes' walk to the old town."

"The front desk was kind, but the facilities were very poor. There were no amenities other than bath towels and bathrobes, the shower was practically nonexistent, and there were no comforters on the beds. The elevator was also not working, so it was very difficult for tourists to carry suitcases up the spiral staircase. The air conditioner was on the floor, and after about 4 hours the drainage was flooded...I was surprised when I woke up in the morning to find the area around the bed flooded. The biggest problem was the breakfast, which only had water, orange juice, a few types of bread, three kinds of fruit (not cut), yogurt, one type of cheese, and two or three types of ham. The bread could be heated, but the rest was basically cold. There was a coffee server and cereal. There were delicious restaurants around, so it would be better not to include breakfast. Incidentally, this can be said for the whole town of Obidos, but the signal is poor (even with 3G), so there are many times when cards such as City Tax cannot be used, so it is safer to have cash. It's right in the middle of Obidos and the hotel staff are very friendly, so I think it could be more popular if the facilities were better...I want to support it, so I hope they make improvements."

The hotel has a discreet restaurant, mainly pizzeria and anyway some good dinner rooms nearby. Super friendly staff and available. Excellent cleaning, spend two times a day. Breakfast is very good and complete for both the salad and the sweet. There is a very nice and comfortable breakfast and reception area. Very wide, light and well furnished room. One sins the third bed too hard to sleep. Beautiful pool with hydromassage. Excellent outdoor patio for the night. Vin and water in the room.I strongly advise."

We stayed 3 nights but the rooms were never made up, very narrow bathroom and slide shower with tent, also lacked toilet paper. very small and narrow breakfast room. a little bit of breakfast with sweet packed products. The person who serves the very friendly breakfast. Parking for 5 minutes just outside the walls. There is no personal, automatic check-in with codes. What is not like · The daily refurbishment of the accommodation"

"This hotel has become well known for being a book lovers haven. The hotel itself is super interesting and each room is different. My friend and I each stayed in different parts of the hotel and had very different looking and feeing rooms. Which means each time you stay there; there could be a new discovery. The hallways and corridors are lined with books. Even if you don't stay here I would highly recommend eating at the restaurant. The food was amazing every time. The only thing I would recommend if this hotel needs more cozy reading areas. They have a couple but they are not the most comfortable places to sit; although they are definitely aesthetically pleasing and fit the vibe of the hotel's history. We spent a lot of time out in the courtyard reading; there's a great spot under a large tree with canvas chairs."
