"I've stayed at a few other hotels in the Thamel area in a similar price range, and this one was overwhelmingly cleaner by comparison. I was surprised at how meticulously they cleaned the room every day. What really set it apart from other Thamel hotels was that the sheets and towels were genuinely white and clean. The breakfast, though simple, was delicious, and all the staff were very kind. As for the downsides, if you're over 170cm tall, you'll find yourself ducking in many places due to the hotel's traditional architecture, even in your own room. I bumped my head several times before getting used to it. Also, the water pressure in the shower isn't great. On the first day, there was no hot water in the shower, and the front desk staff's response wasn't very courteous. They told me to use the shower in the next room but offered no apology whatsoever. During check-in, they also just rattled off the bare minimum information. However, this particular staff member was the only one who wasn't friendly."

Since then we have had a well-secured and homely environment until our departure. Well-trained and professional staff made our stay very comfortable. They were so kind, and on one occasion, my wife developed a small health issue and staff members helped which was beyond our expectations. Well-lit and spacious rooms, wide selection of tasty food items, and also very kind staff looking after throughout, all that made me to decide as the best hotel in Kathmandu."

"A Perfect Home Away From Home! We had a fantastic 2-night stay at Mandevilla Home in Lalitpur and cannot recommend it enough! The Location: Tucked away in a peaceful, quiet residential area, yet incredibly convenient. Shops and great restaurants are just a short, easy walk away. The Apartment: Exceptionally spacious! It was wonderful having a separate bedroom, a comfortable living room, and a fully equipped kitchen that had everything we needed. The Hospitality: The owner was incredibly kind and thoughtful, even delivering a delicious breakfast straight to our apartment. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Kathmandu!"
