After registering our room, the owner, Mr. Yang, kindly explained the hiking routes to us in detail. If we had any questions, we could simply send a message and receive a prompt reply. We are especially grateful to the owner for driving to pick us up when we needed it. I sincerely recommend it to anyone visiting the scenic area. The sunrise and sunset at Danxia Mountain are well worth staying overnight to enjoy."

"This guesthouse is located in the Danxiashan Geopark, Yaotang, just beyond the large entrance gate. A 15 yuan entrance fee is charged upon entry. There are many restaurants and tourist shops. It is 500 meters from the accommodation to the Dongnan Gate (where tickets are purchased). Admission for 2 days: 100 yuan, with discounts for certain groups. The room on the 3rd floor was small, clean, and had a shower with hot water. We topped it off with two relatively small, thin towels with towels we brought with us. We loved the fact that you could preheat the bed with an electric underblanket, as it got quite cold outside at night. However, an electric heater would have been available if needed. A kettle is available. We had enough space on the large terrace in front of the room with a beautiful view of the mountains. Very good value for money."

"10/10 for Service – Truly Exceptional Stay in Shaoguan I had the most beautiful experience at this homestay in Shaoguan. From the very beginning of my trip, the service was outstanding. Someone was waiting for me at reception, and although my room wasn’t far, they kindly transported me by golf cart to the queen bedroom I had booked. That small gesture already made me feel welcomed and valued. I chose the queen bedroom with the mountain view and hot tub, and it was absolutely worth it. The room had a small balcony overlooking the mountain area, surrounded by flowers everywhere. It felt peaceful, private, and incredibly scenic. The room itself was spotless, and housekeeping cleaned daily to a very high standard. As an English speaker in China, communication can sometimes be challenging, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate me. They used WeChat to communicate easily, and even arranged for an English-speaking staff member to assist me. They truly tried their best, and I felt completely supported the entire time. Room service was available anytime — I could simply message them on WeChat and they would bring food directly to my room. That level of convenience was amazing, especially since there are no nearby stores. You do rely heavily on the kitchen and staff — but honestly, that’s not a problem because they are so attentive and accommodating. Breakfast was served from 8:00 to 10:00 every morning, and the staff kindly reminded me daily. They offered traditional Chinese breakfast options. On my first day, I had a comforting bowl of ramen, and on the second and third days, I enjoyed the buffet area. For lunch and dinner, they also offered Western options. At one point, when I had a sudden sugar craving, they even made me sweet potato pancakes that weren’t on the menu — just to accommodate me! That personal touch meant so much. A must-try experience is horseback riding — and if you can, bring a carrot for the horse! It adds to the charm of the stay. Overall, I would absolutely do this trip again. The service was genuinely 10/10, the setting was beautiful, and the staff made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommended. 🌿✨"

"This trip to Danxia Mountain with my child involved a lot of research beforehand, and we ultimately chose "Danshan Zhuyin" in Niubi Village, which proved to be a great decision. We stayed in a family room, which certainly didn't disappoint. The room itself was very clean, with large windows providing excellent natural light, and it was comfortable with all the necessary amenities. On the fourth floor, in the observation area, there's a large terrace with a very expansive view, clearly showing the great bend of the Jinjiang River and the Danxia Mountain peaks opposite. If there's fog in the morning, the scenery is truly beautiful, and the air is wonderfully fresh. The owners were very welcoming, helping with our luggage and recommending good places for walks nearby. We had dinner at the guesthouse, and the Hakka cuisine was authentic, especially the local river seafood, which was delicious and reasonably priced. Overall, this guesthouse offers great value for money, a quiet environment, and a good night's sleep. If you're looking for a quiet, clean place with beautiful scenery in Niubi Village, this is a reliable choice. I would definitely consider staying here again next time I visit Danxia Mountain."

"A comfy, no frills Chinese inn managed by a husband and wife team. The lady owner was informative and helped me to plan the best routes to hike as well as enjoy the Danxia Mountains. She even assisted me to purchase a discounted ticket for the Danxia night cruise. Inn's location is located near the Danxia main gate as well as eateries. Perfect Chinese hospitality. Truly a home away from home. TIP: Non locals including foreigners who flew into Guangdong province within the last 10 days and can show their air tickets at the ticket counter can get a free 2 day visit to the Danxia Mountains. Information is accurate as at January 2026."
