On arrival, we were greeted by a charming welcome — a pint of fresh milk waiting for us, perfect for a soothing cup of tea after our journey. It’s these small, thoughtful touches that make The Burrow feel both effortlessly luxurious and wonderfully welcoming. The secluded outdoor space is equally enchanting, ideal for enjoying a morning coffee, a leisurely breakfast or an evening drink. Surrounded by sheltered greenery, it’s a peaceful spot to feel the cool breeze, curl up with a book or simply savour the stillness. The outdoor pool area, also beautifully secluded, sits within stunning gardens. I made the most of the glorious weather last week, relaxing poolside with a book and soaking up the calm. The Burrow has become my personal retreat, and I have already booked to return in both May and July this year — which I think speaks for itself. Chris and Kate complete the experience with their exceptional hospitality. Warm, kind and genuinely welcoming, they make you feel at home from the outset. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and their friendly, easy manner ensures every stay is comfortable, relaxed and memorable."

Cleaned to a very high standard and the breakfasts are top notch with a great and varied selection. Any hot food is expertly cooked by John and the whole dining experience is overseen by Hayley. Both hosts are very knowledgeable regarding places to visit and things to do. A well deserved high rating on Tripadvisor."

"The room we booked was not anything like the photos advertised. I was so disappointed ! I felt very misled . The room was small and very tired looking. The layout just made the room feel difficult to use . The shower in my room had very poor water pressure , the cubicle itself was tiny ! I could barely move once inside. The bed was uncomfortable affecting my sleep . The room was not great ! We were charged over £3 for a can of coke at the bar and when I asked for some ice I was told they didn't have any in that particular bar ! We then saw other people taking their own drinks and food / take aways into the bar and using the bars plates etc .. We have never known hotels let you bring your own food and drink into the bar area . The breakfast was reasonable and offered a good selection of items . Full English and continental. The staff themselves were all lovely and very hard working . The staff were the best thing about the hotel . Always polite and happy to talk ."

"This was our second stay, and once again, it was absolute perfection. Everything is bright and clean. The family room was huge and full of thoughtful touches, like colouring books for the kids, homemade cookies waiting for us, slippers, robes, and a lovely coffee and tea station. So much variety for breakfast, and everything cooked to perfection. Games and toys for the kids meant we could sit and enjoy a cup of coffee while they played. We loved every minute and will very happily stay again next time we're at IoW."
