Since our trip to Shiping was spontaneous, a day was enough to leisurely stroll through the old town. The guesthouse itself was small with limited amenities, and the breakfast was average. The bathroom had a slight odor, and there was some uncleaned trash in the corners. Because we stayed on the second floor, we had to carry our own belongings and luggage the entire time, as the guesthouse didn't offer any services. There was some noise from the neighboring guesthouse under renovation, but it was manageable with the windows closed. However, the price was reasonable, mainly due to its convenience."

"When driving to Shiping Ancient Town, there's free parking available. The hotel room faces the Yunnan Meter-Gauge Shiping Station, offering a nice environment and good cleanliness. The front desk service was excellent. There are many delicious food options within the ancient town, and visiting the Laihe Pavilion and Confucius Temple is also very interesting. I originally booked for two nights but had to check out early due to unforeseen circumstances. Here are some downsides: ① There's no breakfast, and if you wake up early, there are no places to eat nearby (Yunnan locals tend to wake up late). ② The electrical outlets in the room are older flat-pin types, which can't accommodate modern safe small appliances like two-pin cylindrical razors, massage guns, or water flossers."

The standard room I booked was quite good, and the room was large and refreshing. However, after looking at several rooms, I liked the leisure suite, so I upgraded to this room with extra money. The room is really big, the decoration is fashionable, simple and elegant, the bedding is white, soft and comfortable, the facilities are very complete (there is a small refrigerator), there are no blind spots in hygiene, and the dry and wet toilets are separated. As the pictures can describe, simply speaking, the rooms are better than many five-star hotels, which is beyond our expectation. The courtyard has four floors, and each floor has a leisure space outside the house for like-minded tourists from all over the world to relax and chat. The beautiful boss is warm, thoughtful and approachable. She feels like going home and has the desire to travel to Shiping and stay at the Xiaoheliangshui Inn."

"This Shiping Xixuan Water House is the most expensive homestay in Yunnan this time. I was mainly planted by the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows on the water bank and the terrace outside the house. We took a taxi from Jianshui Hotel to Gaode. The fare was more than 100, plus the high-speed fee was 17 yuan. The location of his home is a bit biased, in the village, but you can also get a car appointment online when you enter and exit, that is, you need to add 5 yuan for a single return trip. This homestay is really a film, suitable for taking pictures and sending friends. The proprietress is very good. When we left, we rented a car online. The proprietress specially drove us to her shop in the town. We stored our luggage in her shop. There was still time to visit the ancient city of Shiping and wait for the car rental company to send the car to the door. This wave of service is praised 👍"

"I stayed at Room 205 of the Baocai Hotel in Shiping County. The hotel has about 10 parking spaces, an elevator, a toilet, mosquito net windows, and a small refrigerator. The room was clean, and the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet. Hot water was readily available. However, one window handle was broken and couldn't be closed; this is on the second floor, and there's a passageway outside the window. The room door didn't have a lock, which made me uneasy at night. There are two self-service fast food restaurants 700 meters away: one vegetarian for 9 yuan, and the other with both meat and vegetables for 10 yuan. They have dozens of options, the food is fresh, tastes good, and the prices are very reasonable. They're very popular, which is a plus for the hotel, and the owners should recommend them to guests. There are also several restaurants nearby. My room, 205, was 25 square meters and had a 1.8-meter double bed. The front desk staff were friendly, and my pre-check-up was good."

"Advantages: Surprisingly, this self-built house in a small town has an elevator! The landlady is very welcoming and considerate, even upgrading my room. It's clean and hygienic, with daily cleaning and replenishment of bottled water and other supplies. It's very close to the lake, and the view is more expansive than the lakeside I visited in Shiping, perfect for sunset photography. (I'm currently in Shiping and have also visited the lakeside; in comparison, Baxin is more suitable for exploring Yilong Lake.) Market days are on the 3rd and 8th, right downstairs. The lakeside bus stop is also downstairs. Disadvantages: The internet speed is relatively slow."
