Ella Rocrita ★★★★
"We absolutely loved our stay at Rocrita Resort in Crete! The hotel is around 1.5 hours from Heraklion Airport and is surrounded by beautiful mountains. I loved how peaceful and secluded it felt, and the views were breath-taking every day. The private beach was one of the best beaches I have ever visited. Our room was wonderful, and we were even given a complimentary upgrade to a swim-up room. We loved having direct access to the pool and being able to use it whenever we wanted. The staff were absolutely amazing! Everyone was so warm and friendly. I especially loved how they remembered me whenever I visited or simply walked past them. Their service made our stay feel very special. Special shout out to Kim, Maria, George and the staff by the main pool bar! They were amazing. The food was also incredible. We visited the Italian à la carte restaurant, and it was genuinely some of the best Italian food I have ever had. Once again, the service was excellent. It was an unforgettable holiday, and I would absolutely love to return!"
Porto Kaza ★★★★
"Our stay in Porto Kaza was simply wonderful! The hotel is beautifully maintained, extremely clean and thoughtfully designed. The location is fantastic- within walking distance to the center of Sitia and the harbor, yet still peaceful and quiet. The apartment is spacious and well-equipped, just perfect for a comfortable stay. The view from the balcony is also a lovely bonus, offering a stunning view for our morning coffee and breakfast. The hosts are incredibly welcoming, helpful and attentive. Overall, Porto Kaza is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Sitia. We cannot recommend it enough!"
Althea Suites ★★★

"Absolute joke of a hotel. We booked to stay for 29th July 2025. As of February 25, we started to see worrying signs of people who had booked for May, having their trips cancelled as the hotel wasn't going to be ready. I contacted the hotel reservations to be told the hotel will be fully open by the start of July. I again contacted them in April to be told yes, everything will still be ready for July. Today, 21 May 2025, I have received an email from my booking company saying the hotel is closed until 2026 and they are offering me a different hotel which looks nowhere near as good. Absolutely disgraceful, leaving it so late that we will struggle to find a new hotel to accommodate all our family at such short notice."
Terra Minoika Boutique Resort ★★★★
"Terra Minoika is a jewel. We do not believe any other boutique resort on Crete could be so special for the view, kindness, proximity to lovely beaches, Minoan ruins, historic monastery and the incredible details found in the artistry and art objects that envelope the resort. We wish we had planned to stay at Terra Minoika for our entire Cretan holiday as the slow pace and natural beauty, simple tavernas with lovely food (and again, the kindness and welcome of the owners) is our idea of perfection."
GM Luxury Suites & Spa ★★★★
Kastri Hill Luxury Villas ★★★★
Castri Village Hotel ★★★
"Overall the facilities were okay, rooms were nice enough however there were multiple logistical issues that made the experience poor. On the first night we arrived late and we were told keys were laid out for us. We took those keys as we were told and made our way to our rooms. Unfortunately in the middle of the night numerous members of our group had woken up to find strangers in there room claiming it was there’s. There was no communication as to the mix up after realising the issue was the travel agents booking from the day before which was not our intended arrival date. Despite this, there was no communication that we were a no show and so we were told the keys left out were ours. This left us terrified and feeling unsafe in our own rooms due to the accessibility of two keys. This was a terrible security issue as two keys were left out leading to this mix up. Furthermore, two members of the group suddenly had faeces coming out of the bathroom drain in the middle leading to clothes and equipment being covered. Room change happened however, the conditions were still unfavourable as there was a foul aroma however, after having strangers in your room and excrement coming out of the pipes, it makes the experience generally unappealing. After this experience it would have been appreciated if we were compensated accordingly, unfortunately this was not the case and we were still asked for a €5 tax for each night."
Sitia Beach City Resort & Spa ★★★★★
"Excellent spa experience! Amy was professional, friendly, and incredibly talented. The massage was relaxing and exactly what I needed. She paid attention to every detail and made me feel completely at ease. Highly recommended!"

Flisvos
"Excellent choice for me and my family with great location, comfortable bed and pillows (💕), clean and friendly staff. The breakfast is decent too. We will be back during this summer and we will book it again."
Lithos Traditional Guest Houses
"Staying at Lithos Traditional Houses was an unforgettable experience that perfectly blended comfort, authenticity, and Cretan charm. The property is beautifully designed, with traditional stone architecture and warm rustic details that make you feel immersed in the island’s history and culture. At the same time, all the modern amenities are there to ensure total relaxation and convenience. The houses are spotlessly clean, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated, offering both privacy and stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Waking up to the sight of the mountains and the tranquility of the village was truly special. What really sets Lithos apart, though, is the hospitality. The hosts are incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely eager to make your stay memorable. From offering local tips and recommendations to small touches that made us feel at home, their care and kindness elevated the whole experience. The location is also excellent—peaceful and authentic, yet within easy reach of beaches, hiking trails, and traditional tavernas. It’s the perfect base whether you want to explore the island or simply unwind and enjoy the serene atmosphere. In short, Lithos Traditional Houses captures the very best of Crete: tradition, beauty, and heartfelt hospitality. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already planning our return."
Hotel Marina Village
"A very quiet place where the small plant is located in a olive grove. Very friendly owners and very careful staff, you can easily feel well here. Good location to the two nearby beaches walking and by car also to Va to the famous palm beach. Many restaurants in the nearer surroundings. Breakfast and rooms appropriate to the price. Cleanliness excellent."
Vista Mare Villas
"The hotel is very clean, well-organised and perfectly equipped. The house is done every day. Nikos is very discreet but remains at the small care for its guests. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, and the city is located in the heart of the city."
Hiona Holiday Hotel
"We spent 3 fabulous weeks here during August - September. Everything about this hotel is great. The staff is friendly and goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. We were warmly welcomed by Anna and her colleagues, and taken extremely good care of throughout our whole vacation. Everything is super clean, the room as well as the breakfast and pool area. Talking about the breakfast - delicious! Everything you need and more. The location is perfect... especially if you like to walk. Short walking distance to lovely Palaikasto, the wonderful small village with several great taverns, each one serving delicious greek cuisine. Each one with super friendly staff. Two fantastic beaches 1,8 km away... a twenty minute walk through wonderful surroundings. Kouremenos beach and Hiona beach. If you need a quiet, relaxing vacation - don't miss Hiona Holiday Hotel and Palaikastro!"
