2217237****Every time I come to Taiyuan for a business trip, I choose this hotel. It is quiet at night and there is no noise. The bedding is also very good, and the quality of sleep is very good. The bathroom is very clean, and the toilet has a disposable toilet cover, which can be replaced with one click. I especially like it. I like the room with a bathtub most, and it will be equipped with a disposable bathtub cover, which perfectly solves the hygiene problem.

GGuest UserUnfortunately, the overall stay was not great. When we booked the hotel, we specifically requested a non-smoking room, which is essential for us because of health issues. After double confirming with the hotel that they have non-smoking rooms (based on the website, all rooms are non smoking), we paid for our booking. However, shortly after, they informed us that smoking in hotel rooms is common and unavoidable in Taiyuan. We felt deceived into making the payment and realized we were stuck with this accommodation for our 7-day stay.
Upon checking in, we had to request a room change due to a strong smoke smell in the original room. The second room was better and the hotel staff was nice enough to provide an air purifier.
Throughout our entire stay, people were smoking in the elevator, lobby, and even at the dinner table. If we had known this beforehand, we would have reconsidered staying here.
For a 5-star hotel, it did not meet our expectations, and unfortunately, we paid far too much for this experience.
The only highlight of our stay was the hotel staff. They were always friendly, helpful, and did their very best to serve the guests, which made our trip a bit more enjoyable. We thank them for their excellent service.

TTracie WestMy stay at Wutong Apartments was wonderful! The room was clean, spacious, modern, and aesthetically pleasing. There is bathtub is luxurious and spacious, the shower has great pressure and the the separate toilet room has a motion censored toilet seat and a bidet. The bed was comfy and the closet space begs you to unpack your suitcase. There were thoughtful amenities, including a loofah cloth and shoe shine cloths. Now...the breakfast. It was the best breakfast buffet I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Tinder and well seasoned steak, salmon, soups, desserts, breads, scrumptious pancakes and a salad bar that even included kale amongst the varied greens. Best of all, the service was exceptional. A special thank you to Li Ne, the dining staff and the housekeeper who attended to my room. I wish that every hotel stay I experience in the future is as amazing as my time at Wutong Apartment Hotel.

The front desk staff even proactively offered a complimentary room upgrade. The new room was spacious, bright, and well-appointed, with incredibly comfortable bedding that made it easy to relax instantly. Throughout my stay, every member of staff, from housekeeping to the restaurant team, consistently displayed genuine smiles and a thoughtful, caring attitude, which made me feel incredibly welcome and valued. The hotel's location is also very convenient, being just a few minutes' walk from Taiyuan South Railway Station. This stay completely exceeded my expectations, with the hotel's thoughtfulness and attention to detail evident in every aspect. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to friends, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Shanxi!

CChifanbuchicai-As soon as I entered the hotel, the front desk greeted me warmly. The staff was very nice. Since the hotel room was not cleaned, they helped me upgrade to a king-size bed room for free. They also gave me souvenirs, which were very convenient to take with me.
The hotel room is also very large. The shampoo and shower gel are all travel-sized. If you can't use them up, you can take them away! The room is spacious and the hygiene is in place. Every little corner is taken care of and it is cleaned very cleanly. There is also free afternoon tea in the afternoon, and the ice cream is also delicious~ The location is also very good, just near the train station, about 15 minutes walk away, the room price is more than 200, the cost performance is super high! I will come again next time~

GGuest UserThe hotel is 5 minutes walk from the Kaihuasi metro station, there are restaurants, cafes, convenient stores around the hotel, it is 5 minutes walk from the happening area with restaurants and shops. Initially i was assigned a room on 3rd floor with centralized air conditioning which resulted in my room being filled with heavy cigarette smoke. When i feedback to the staff at the check in counter, i was re-assigned a room on ground floor with individual air conditioning, this works fine for me. The corridor was still filled with cigarette smoke when i exit my room though. The hotel staff are helpful, guiding me to use the bus app and gave me a tube of hand lotion when one of them saw my hand with frostbite. I have always had good experience with home inn hotels, the facilities are good and staff are helpful.

BBinchongGood location, if you're in a room away from the noisy streets. Updated design, so some effort has gone in there.
Staff is functional and perfunctory; things get done. Not the most efficient, not the most welcoming. In fact, the worst i have encountered on this trip, but not terrible. Reminds me of some inns I have stayed in in rural China.
The one thing that makes this an absolute no-no is that despite the price I am paying, there is no air-conditioning. It is a central air-con system and they have deemed it is not warm enough to turn it on. Which makes the room a stuffy furnace. Advice was to turn on air purifier which is noisy through the whole night and doesn't really help. If I'm paying for a room, at least let me decide the room ventilation. If they want to sell to foreign guests, they should know this is a basic given as this is what we have come to expect in our hotel rooms.
So, strongly advice: NO!

GGuest UserThe room was great! Warm service! The surrounding environment is quiet, and shopping and dining are easy to find downstairs! The room decoration is also very reasonable, the furniture is relatively new, and the bathroom is very clean.
