"This bungalow-style resort by Sunset Beach is really lovely. The check-in deposit is just 100 THB. I really enjoyed the hotel's layout—it's only a five-minute walk to a 7-Eleven, which is super handy. The hotel's beach area is pretty small and often has boats around, so if you'd like to go snorkeling, I'd suggest walking about 10 minutes to the east side of the beach. For calm, beautiful turquoise water, head to the north tip of the island—it's about 30 minutes from the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort offers massage services, a diving club, and yoga classes. A quick note on the bungalow I stayed in: there was no hot water, quite a few mosquitoes, and the lighting was fairly dim since it's nestled among gardens and other houses. The hotel also follows an eco-friendly policy to save electricity."

"Out of the three hotels I stayed at on Koh Lipe – one Sunrise, one Sunset, and The Serendipity – The Serendipity was by far the most pleasant surprise, truly living up to its name. First off, the staff were incredibly friendly. When they noticed my child's life vest wasn't properly worn, a staff member proactively stepped in to help put it on and adjust it. These kinds of kind gestures, beyond their direct duties, are the most heartwarming. Beyond that, the rooms were spotless and the views were absolutely stunning. You could sit on the balcony and enjoy the sea, sunrise, and stars – perfect for taking photos or simply unwinding. The cliffside restaurant also offered great value; hotel guests even get a 15% discount on food. Despite being a popular spot, the portion sizes were genuinely generous. Finally, the occasional visits from small animals (birds and geckos) in the room added a charming touch. Of course, there was one downside: the mosquitoes were quite bothersome. Although the hotel was diligent about lighting mosquito coils and putting down mosquito nets, I still got bitten quite a bit after just a short time on the balcony in the evening. I'd recommend bringing your own repellent."

"The hotel is super convenient, just a short walk left from the pier. There were even hotel staff at the pier to help with luggage and take it to reception for check-in – the service was really welcoming. The location is the best; it's very close to the walking street if you go via the beach, making everything easily accessible. The hotel also has a large pool, and the sea right outside is beautiful. It's excellent value for money."

"Fantastic! The view is exceptional, and the beach is stunning and peaceful because the boats are docked on the previous beach. The staff are lovely, and the bar and restaurant are great value for money. The breakfast is very good, even if there isn't a huge selection. The location is perfect, the sunrises are magnificent, and the water is turquoise – it's a little paradise on earth. This is the best spot on the island. It's a 20-minute walk to Sunset Beach and barely 10 minutes on foot to the small center of Koh Lipe, where you'll find shops, mini-marts, and a bunch of small restaurants. Everything on this island is walkable, it's so peaceful and pleasant. We loved it so much that we added a fourth night to our stay! The little chalet is very cute, though it's not easy to sleep well without air conditioning; there's little air circulation, and it's heavy, but we survived. The bathroom does the job; there's no hot water, but honestly, you don't need it – a cool shower is very welcome when it's 30 degrees Celsius 24/7. It's an eco-lodge in the middle of nature, so you have to accept seeing a few little creatures sometimes; it's part of the experience :) You can rent masks for snorkeling and kayaks or try an introductory dive thanks to the agency right next to the beach. This is a quiet resort with no entertainment. For evening entertainment, head to Sunset Beach or the bars at the end of the hotel beach (you can also watch the sunset there, and the view is very pretty)."

"I really enjoyed our stay jt was low season so nice and quiet but still a good atmosphere. Rooms were comfortable, we booked two but could have managed with one room with a 9 and 12 year old. Everything worked , the internet was decent. Gardens and greenery lovely spot. Breakfast was fairly standard for this type of accommodation. Nice fresh fruit eggs, bacon, pancakes , waffles and Asian options, eaten with a nice view of the sea. Location at end of beach but close to walking street. We tended to walk to North point and get a taxi scooter back for 50b. Food on island was good. Coffee from tugboat needs a mention. Island overall is beautiful and has a really nice vibe at present hopefully it doesn't get over developed. North point is a lovely area which still has it's natural beauty."

"A long stretch of white sand beach, and if you walk a little north, you can catch the sunset at North Point. 🌊 The sea changes color many times throughout the day, but it's always incredibly blue, and beautiful even in the rain. 🛌 The rooms are more modern, but you have to wait a bit longer for hot water in the shower (staff said it's because it's low season). 🚣 Free 1-hour kayak/paddleboard/snorkeling every day. The first time I tried it, a hotel employee even taught me, and the next day they took me to a nearby island to snorkel. 🐶 Lots of cute dogs on the beach, and hardly any mosquitoes. The restaurant food is delicious, and the buy-one-get-one-free happy hour drinks are great. There are three round-trip shuttle buses to Walking Street every evening. It’s all the little details that make it so comfortable, like the automatic trash cans 🫶. I didn't want to leave, this is what a resort should be. (The only downside is that the breakfast selection is small and very average.)"

"Extremely satisfied with this hotel! What a shame we only stayed for two nights. The room amenities were great, the bed was very soft, and the staff were wonderful. A special shout-out to the driver who took us to our next hotel; he was a really kind person. The hotel's small boats were also a nice touch and free to use. The lady working at the bar was absolutely lovely; she was so meticulous and thoughtful, giving off a wonderfully warm vibe. And catching seafood on the beach at low tide during sunrise was fantastic! All in all, highly recommend this place."

"In terms of service, cleanliness, and amenities, this is your average Thai resort. The location, in my opinion, is fantastic—right at the very end of Pattaya Beach. There's always shade from a beautiful tree, and it's convenient for swimming and snorkeling. The only drawback is that it can sometimes be tough to climb the stairs since the hotel is located on a hill. The price is definitely inflated, but I gather that's typical for the entire island; everything is more expensive than mainland Thailand. If I go back to Koh Lipe, I'll most likely choose this place again."

"The scenery here is absolutely beautiful. We were lucky enough to see blue tears at night by the beach, which was such a magical experience. In the morning, you can also catch a stunning sunrise right from the resort — truly peaceful and breathtaking. The service was excellent — all the staff were friendly and always smiling, which made us feel very welcomed. The room was spacious and very clean, and the shower had strong water pressure, which we really appreciated. The resort is located on a cliff, so there are quite a number of stairs to climb. However, the staff will help carry your luggage all the way to your room, which made the arrival much easier. However, since the room is designed as a wooden bungalow, it gets very hot during midday. Even with the air conditioning on, the cool air doesn’t reach the bed area effectively, so the bed still feels warm. Turning on the fan actually makes it worse, as it blows the heat from the roof downwards, making the room feel even hotter. Overall, it’s a lovely place with great service and stunning views, but the room temperature during the day could definitely be improved."

"Our family had a wonderful stay at this resort! We stayed in the Tree Pool Villa, and it was absolutely perfect for our child. The villa was spacious, beautifully designed, and surrounded by lush tropical greenery, which made the whole experience feel peaceful and relaxing. We loved all the amenities the resort has to offer. The complimentary tuk-tuk shuttle service to the walking street was incredibly convenient, making it easy to explore the area. We also treated ourselves to the spa, and it was one of the highlights of our stay—very relaxing and definitely worth it. The breakfast exceeded our expectations, with a great variety of delicious options to choose from. Our favorite was definitely the noodle station! The room was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. One thing that really impressed us was the bathroom—it was almost as large as the bedroom and felt luxurious. The resort’s beachfront location was another major highlight. Our child had so much fun kayaking and snorkeling in the clear water. If you’re staying here, I also highly recommend renting a boat to visit and hike the island directly opposite the resort. The scenery is breathtaking, and it’s an experience you shouldn’t miss. Overall, we had an amazing family vacation and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended for families looking for a relaxing tropical getaway!"
