"The Inness could use so much more in simple basic services and amenities . A poolside attendant at the adult pool would be nice . There is no food or bar service offered . No mats on lounges that are on buggy grass . The rates are not cheap and guest comfort needs to be at the forefront at all times The dinner was excellent, the waitstaff and kitchen were very accommodating and nice.The breakfast menu could be worked on , fruit, muffins cereal ... The rooms are very minimalistic . No clock radio , the phone is on a box on the floor. mY cabin #19 is looking at two big half dead trees instead of a landscape . For my wife and I it's a one hit wonder . I was expecting so much more and was disappointed. My wife and i love to go upstate NY . This trip was a gift for my 70th birthday from a few of my nephews and we were very excited to go ."

"The New Paltz Way is an oasis in already bucolic Hudson Valley setting. Situated perfectly along side a nature bike and walking path, mere feet from the Wallkill river, nestled in the foothills of the storied Gunks mountain range. The hotel is immediately inviting, happy yellow and white flowers smiling down from a green roof as you step into the lobby, which more closely resembles the living room of your dreams. Eclectic antique chairs, quilted leather couches, the coziest faux fur love seat nook all have the immediate effect of making you instantly forget all cares and simply relax. The rooms are an extension of this cozy yet luxurious surrounding, each appointed with its very own record player and perfect collection of vintage vinyl. Not a detail too small is spared, from the white yeti bowl already filled with fresh water for our dog (yes, dogs are welcome), to the quality of light and spa like smell of the space. There are e bikes for exploring, the vibrant village center just steps from the front door and the most welcoming and lovely staff. The worst thing we can say about our stay is simply that we had to leave"

"Booked through their internal website. Was not informed that there was a wedding same time. Was not informed that dance floor was 20 feet from the cabin we booked. Really really loud and kept our kids awake. We informed the property we had kids when we booked. No response from the phone number when I asked how long to expect wedding would go on so I could prepare our kids while it was going on. Nice spot but property way too small for ad hoc guests and wedding at the same time. Could not use property in afternoon when wedding photos being taken and could not use shared spaces in main house. Had to take kids elsewhere. No understanding or accommodation from on site staff about how that changes experience. Would double confirm no wedding if you are booking. Property should acknowledge their own space limitations and inform or not book other guests when wedding going on. It turns it into a different much more curtailed and stressful experience."

"I brought my daughter here to celebrate her 25th Birthday. Our visit totally exceeded our expectations! The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The staff was above and beyond. Mark and Kim are amazing hosts. If you like to hike this is a great place to stay, very close to awesome trails with phenomenal views. If you want to just chill at the Inn and read a book, there's several seating areas for that too. Just an all round wonderful experience !!"
