"Hotel Villa de Urike is just great! Everything is fine here. We spent 3 nights here and have unforgettable experiences! Francisco was a super host. He was very helpful. And his English is super!! Everything was first class here. And a location? You can't even imagine! There are not many places in the world like Urique in Copper Canyons in Mexico! Just go! Now. Before is too late..."

"A magnificent place on the top of the canyon. Very comfortable and soft beds. Careful staff. You can walk through the picturesque paths of the canyon. The pool and the jacuzzi worked but the water was cold for us. I highly recommend this hotel, it is like a fairy tale castle! Breakfasts were great! ❤️"

"I made a reservation through an app, and the price was much lower than the hotel's website. I imagine that's why I was given the worst room in the hotel: Room 80. It doesn't have a panoramic view, the access is very poor, and you can hear footsteps and the moving of tables and chairs in the dining room. The room experience was very poor. The rest was fine. This bad experience will make me look for other hotel options in the future."

★★★ 9.5 (29 reviews)

"An amazing family owned property! The ambiance is incredible and very rustic. The photos give you a great view of the place. All rooms are at ground level. Rooms were spacious with a wood fired stove for very cold nights. Lots of extra blankets were in the room. Great showers! The morning breakfast was incredible delicious. Note that the hotel operates on a generator, which means electricity ends each night after everyone is in bed. Internet is available only in the great room. Payment in cash is preferred as use of credit cards is affected by access to wifi. They can arrange great tours depending on what you are looking for!"

"This is a laidback bed and breakfast and one of my favorites to go to with friends. They grow their vegetables, and there are plenty of tropical fruit trees. Getting to Urique is not easy, but once you’re there, you’ll agree that off-the-beaten-path trips are always the best. That being said, this is not for the bougie tourist but more for the adventurous traveler."

★★★ 8.2 (59 reviews)

"This hotel is located 20 mts from the Barrancas del Cobre train station. It works with the El Mirador Hotel (much more expensive option): you pay for meals and tours at Barrancas and enjoy them at El Mirador. Rooms are nice but we had a water drop in our first night. The second room they gave us had very thin walls. Staff was friendly. They take credit cards. They also offer tours and transfers to the other stations. The hotel itself is boring, not activities like the others. Recommended option. "

Hotel Mirador Essential by Balderrama Hotel Collection ★★★
"Yes, it's on the edge of the cliff. The location and the views are privileged. But the entire experience of reaching this location and throughout our stay made us feel like hostages of this organization. The building has a decent level of maintenance even though it's many decades old. It's evident that the entire hotel concept is created and operated with a very clear target clientele: the lower-middle class in the United States. The prices for everything they offer, including lodging, aren't worth it. Since there's no town nearby and any trip outside the hotel is expensive, you're forced to eat the food, which is an extremely expensive set menu of totally mediocre quality and insufficient quantity. We don't recommend it for any reason, and much less would we return to this place. And worst of all, the treatment of all the people in Chihuahua is of the highest human quality and professionalism. But Balderrama hotels seem to be an island where this value is not appreciated. The same thing happened to us at the Hotel Misión in Cerocahui. A real shame. They are clearly very successful with the type of clientele I already mentioned, and they are already very spoiled by the unprofessional and even apprentice-level treatment of the staff employed, who seem to be there by force and in a bad mood."

"Luis Escobar guided myself and a group of educators, race directors and ultra runners for a week long adventure in the Copper Canyons. Michael and Kimberly Miller were wonderful hosts and the people on the property as well as the community of Urique was extremely welcoming. Entre Amigos is a special place and a beautiful refuge in the Canyon as well as a great starting point to venture off onto so many adventures all around you."

Hotel Divisadero Barrancas ★★★
"This hotel is charming in many ways, but the windowless room we were initially assigned in the old section reeked of kerosene from the previous night, and was totally unacceptable. After some discussion, we were offered a room with a lack of view, but was habitable. The only rooms is the old section that looked appealing were Rooms 7-10. The dinner and breakfast were pretty good. The views are amazing. If we had been assigned a room in the new block, it would have been a different experience."

"We stayed at this Balderrama chain hotel as part of our recent Copper Canyon tour. The hotel and our room were comfortable and clean. Meals were included in the tour package and were pretty good, although the menus were set, so there wasn't much choice. Like other hotels in this chain, this is a very good hotel. But the town is not that interesting. We were offered a "wine tour" that ended up just going across the street to the local church and school and then back to the hotel for their in-house small winery. The tour was not interesting, although the wine tasting was all right."
