"Parked up here with our campervan for one night. Very friendly, helpful staff. Cyclone Jasper was close by so power went out just after dark, staff very helpful and reassuring guests through this and in providing advice on travelling onwards in lieu of the potential cyclone. Power restored after a few hours! Great amenities, plenty of showers/toilets for size of park kept in great condition. "

"Absolutely superb! For nature lovers and bird lovers, this is the place to stay. Only negative was that we couldn’t book a second night due to it being booked out. We had stayed here 5 years previously, it was still great but the cabins were a bit tired. However, this time around the cabin we stayed in was fully renovated and just beautiful. The king bed was so comfortable and my 14 year old said her bed was the best she had stayed in. The entertainment options/guest lounge were fantastic and well maintained and the night show of wildlife feeding was the highlight. Location is so good too, nice and close to Yungaburra but far enough away to feel completely isolated and at peace. Cannot recommend highly enough."

"The location is very lovely and remote you would need some transport to get around. Arrived to our family room but the aircon had unfortunately broken. We were offered a 6 bed dormitory with aircon which we took as no other option. They kindly gave us credit for the cafe for the inconvenience. If you are on a strict budget and do not mind sharing a kitchen & showers/toilets this is ideal. The rooms are very sparse no carpet just beds and bedding. The place in general is run down, not like the website pictures, pool needs some chlorine in and lots of tlc. Cafe is good, great toasties and well equipped choice of drinks to purchase. You cannot bring your own alcohol here. We got up close to a wallaby and were told the orphan babies are released here as it’s a safe area for them. No tv, good WiFi"

"Lady at reception was inviting and friendly.. Looks can be deceiving from the outside, but the room was clean, neat, and have everything you need.. Had a good meal across the road at the pub (Imperial) with 10% off when you show your key.. Only stayed one night here and was fine, except you can hear some traffic, but that's understandable being on a busy road.. I still slept well.. I'd be happy to go back when I'm the area again.."

"This is the last place I would recommend staying anywhere in Nth Qld. The room I saw looks nothing like the photo. You would think that if two of us were struggling to open the sliding door and talking to each other about the operating hours for reception, that the person sitting behind the desk would welcome us. Lucky for us that she botched up the booking and missed one of the two rooms we booked, so we stayed elsewhere. Be prepared for a battle if you want much of a refund after they make a booking error."

"The place was quite pretty and the room was small and had very basic facilities ie a kettle and toaster and cup and plate. The rooms were not very sound proof. Hot water takes about 2 minutes to start warming up. Bed was hard. Not necessarily bad things depending on what you’re staying for and how long. I was only there for 2 nights while site seeing. Breakfast was silly at 8:30 to 9:30. If you’re working or site seeing you’re gone by then."

"Really nice accommodation set in the middle of the rainforest. Facilities were good, didn’t have to wait to cook in the kitchen or use the bathrooms. Being in the rainforest there’s a few bugs and mosquitos so bring some spray and you’ll be all good! The owner Rob was lovely and gave some great tips about different things to do around the area. Beds were really comfy, but there weren’t any plug sockets by the beds in the room i was in so it’s handy to have a portable charger"
