"Stayed here for three or four days. The room had a direct view of Nanhu Lake, complemented by the ancient village of Hongcun. The abundance of green scenery made it perfect for a vacation. The hotel breakfast was also very generous. The rooftop terrace offered expansive and stunning views."

"The hotel is right by the big tree at the village entrance. The uncle there was very attentive and helped me with my luggage multiple times. The environment is nice and quiet, and the bed was quite comfortable. My only suggestion is to add a floor mat outside the shower, or provide better slippers."

"Hygiene: Overall, it was excellent and very clean. Environment: I have to say, having such a large courtyard inside Hongcun is truly impressive. The courtyard is very well-maintained, and my mom absolutely loved it, taking tons of photos there – it’s very photogenic (Picture 3 shows a corner of the courtyard). Facilities: The only thing that I feel needs improvement during this stay is the air conditioning in the room (only for the room I stayed in). We visited during the plum rain season, so it was a bit stuffy and humid. Turning the AC up made it a bit too cold, but turning it down didn't seem to do much, although it was functional. I suggest it might need some maintenance or repair. Service: The service here was absolutely top-notch! The pick-up and drop-off were very prompt, and it’s very close to the West Gate parking lot. I paid 20 RMB for 24 hours of parking at the West Gate. The driver, though a man of few words, was truly wonderful. When he took us to the parking lot, he even drove his electric scooter to help us buy bamboo shoots because my mom loved them, haggled for us in the local dialect, and helped us pick out four really good ones! I usually don't spend time reviewing hotels and restaurants, but I just had to leave a good review for this driver! Additionally, the B&B is incredibly close to Moon Pond, just a few minutes' walk away, and about five or six minutes to South Lake (I walk quite fast). It's perfect for getting up early to grab a good spot for photos, as it gets quite crowded even by 7 AM now. Staying here gives you a big advantage for early morning photo ops. There are B&Bs around South Lake too, but I personally think they might not be as quiet as this one. Secondly, for food, I had both of my meals at the B&B, and the food was excellent, especially the stinky tofu. I've been to Anhui several times, and I've never had good stinky tofu until I ate it here – it was the best I've ever tasted (though not cheap). While the price was a bit on the higher side, we (two people) finished everything, which is better than paying for food you only eat a few bites of and waste. The rice was also very well-made; my mom, who is quite picky about food, ate a good amount. Plus, the restaurant faces the courtyard, offering a nice view, and dining is quiet and comfortable. Finally, the hand soap and toiletries were all quite good; my mom even found the toothbrush so comfortable that she took it home! 😅 This is definitely a B&B I would recommend to my friends."

"The room decor was really unique and charming. The service was thoughtful and impeccable. When we arrived, they even sent a dedicated driver to pick us up, and he was super nice and friendly. He was very careful when helping us with our luggage. The owners, a couple, were lovely and enthusiastic, giving us great tips on scenic routes and good places to eat. We really appreciate it! The best part is that you step right out into the beautiful Moon Pond, which is unforgettable. All in all, this trip was definitely worth it and highly recommended."

"Opted for this large Huizhou-style guesthouse in Hongcun, and it was a great choice. Its location is super convenient, right near the South Gate of Hongcun. As soon as I arrived, someone from the hotel came out to help with my luggage, which was fantastic service. They also helped me get oriented by explaining the hotel's location on a map of Hongcun and pointed out must-see spots. They didn't leave until I was completely settled in. Following their recommendation, I immediately went to see the evening Fish Lantern show and the enchanting Moon Pond scenery."

The front desk attendant was really sharp; as soon as she saw our group of three, she immediately got extra slippers and toothbrushes for us and even gave us a map for visiting Hongcun, which was incredibly thoughtful. The lobby is very comfortable and has a cute cat, and the breakfast is plentiful."

"The hotel is super close to the west gate of Hongcun. It takes two steps to arrive. It is late to book the first floor, but it is very clean, the sanitation facilities are complete, it is very quiet, and there is a washing and drying machine. It is really convenient to go out. The front desk brother and sister are very warm and thoughtful. It is worth mentioning that when I left, I was originally in Gaode to fight for a ride. The time was just right. I was stabbed by the driver. I cancelled it without saying hello. "Great location, right by South Lake. We stayed in a loft and the kids loved climbing up and down. The staff were super friendly and helpful, they even picked us up and dropped us off at the south gate and were always ready to assist. The place was clean, tidy, and had a lovely vibe. What really stood out was their food – freshly cooked and delicious, at reasonable prices. My two kids absolutely loved it, highly recommend!"
