Holiday Inn Express & Suites Yuma

This was the last night of doing deliveries for our door business and we had been sleeping in hotels in ten different States every night. We would have minor issues with each hotel enough to where we would get up at 6 a.m. and head out. We like staying in decent hotels so our price is $125 - $200 a night. We called the hotel before checking in because we were starving and sick to death of hamburgers on the road. The young man suggested a fine dining hotel near them and we went straight there. $106 later we were very happy diners. Everything was excellent. We checked in easily and there was actually a luggage cart available!!! We were given a menu for breakfast and they said to circle what we wanted. We walked in to the room and we were met by a magical scent....we found out later it was Lavender Paradise...the organic $200 for two liters organic cleaning product this hotel spared no expense for. I know the price because I ordered on Amazon the second I got home. The scent was so fresh and luxurious. The shampoo and soap and conditioner were top class and instead of rushing off we lazed around the beautiful room enjoying it til nearly check out. Comfortable beds. Everything was perfect. Air conditioning and heating worked perfectly. Great water pressure. Keurig coffee pot in the room was wonderful. I can complain and nit pik about a lot because we travel so much. Not here. I could not find anything to grouse about. Practically perfect in every way!

Howard Johnson by Wyndham Yuma

Had a large king bed room with lots of storage and plugs. Loved the bathroom (toilet and sink) being in its own room. The idea of a huge counter just outside it was great, but some of that was taken up by the microwave and coffee maker. Bed was so comfortable it was the best sleep and the room was nice and dark and cooled perfectly. It was just a stop over while doing dental in Mexico but we enjoyed the pool and sitting out area. So the value was there. Would stay again no problem. Lobby is nice as well as the grounds.

First, I need to say the reception girl is really nice, she is the only good part of this motel. I don’t recommend this place at all! Very noisy inside and outside, you can hear the people next door every single conversation! They didn’t stop talking until 1am, and outside truck was super loud too, it just kept us up all night! The towels were not clean, a few towels have blood on them. This app Trip charged us more than the motel actual charge, you better off just call the motel and book from There directly! And using Trip app pay for the motel, I also got charged extra foreign transaction fee! This doesn’t make any sense, it showed in US dollars and I’m paying dollars, I still got charged! The customer service was not helping! I think I’m not going to use this app anymore, I will use other app for booking!
Radisson Hotel Yuma

The desk clerk was extremely friendly and informative. She made checking in a wonderful experience. We needed a TV guide and HDMI cord, and she got them to our room very quickly. We had breakfast at the hotel, and the food was good and hot. I appreciated the gloves there, as well as the masks. It let me know that COVID precautions were being addressed. I also had dinner at the hotel. My food was delicious, and Steven was an excellent wait person He was personable, cheerful, and got our food to us promptly. Even the housekeeping staff, said hello as they passed, and offered items that made our stay better. My overall impression of the hotel was impressive.
Best Western Yuma Mall Hotel Suites

I stayed at this hotel on January 29, 2022. We came for one day only and always try to reserve the room with the in room hot tub, which is one of the most expensive and difficult to get. The room was in HORRIBLE condition. The mattress looked like someone was murdered on it and they tried to bleach it out. The hot tub area was in terrible disrepair. (I have pictures of all of it). I found a bug in my bed, cracked lamp shades, etc. After seeing the room in this bad of shape, I decided to pull the sheets and was mortified by what I saw! Please understand, I work in the hotel industry and try never to complain too harshly. I have stayed at this property many times and have been loyal over the years. I was asked to send the photos to the manager, and she would contact me in the morning. Id did....she never did. Now I will be posting the photos on Yelp and Trip advisor, and I promise you It will not look good for the property, I know that I would never stay there if I saw these images. If you look at my history, I have been VERY loyal to Best Western over many years, you will also notice how my stays have declined over this past year. This is not how I would think a Diamond customer, or any customer for that reason should be treated.
Shilo Inn Yuma

I was looking for a night in not expensive or cheap. I found a fair rate when I arrived in Yuma. Under $100 with an 8.2 rating...perfect. A nice lobby very welcoming staff. They had my pre-paid reservation online and easy check-in, it was late at night. The room wasn't modern but not dated either. Very clean, even the carpet walking around in white socks. The TV was easy to operate and they had a good selection of channels. The room was well appointed, desk/chair, table and a confy bed with crisp clean linens and 4 pillows. The ac was quiet and cooled the room well. In the am I started to get some coffee but they only had de-caf, not a big deal, I'm sure they would have brought me some. All the ammenities and I had a nice hot shower. I started to get some ice and a very nice staff (maintenance?) told me floor 1 was slow (where I was at) was slow but 3 was going fast-it was. I didn't try the restaurant but the desk was helpful in telling me of a local place the was good and fast. It is a bit hard to find but it is in great location with the mall and restaurants everywhere. I will definetely stay there the next time I travel through or to Yuma. I will also look for their other location on the West coast.

Things to Do in Yuma, Arizona

Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park, a former prison that ceased operations in 1909, now operating as a historical museum. Yuma High School once occupied the prison for 3 years, classes were held in cell blocks, and their football team were dubbed "The Criminals". Have an "ex-cell-ent" mugshot taken at the prison, where they use the original mirror they had for prisoners, creating a front and back in a single photo.

While you're in the area, head over to the Colorado River State Historic Park, which contains the historic U.S. Army Quartermaster Depot and the Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area. Both sites showcase the area’s history and heritage, largely influenced by Anglo-Americans, Native Americans, and Hispanic-Latinos.

Don't miss your visit to Castle Dome Mines Museum, also known as "Ghost Town". Previously a mining town in the 19th century, the deserted town is survived by its last-standing original structures, including the church, saloons, boardwalks and stamp mill. Hull Mine offers an underground tour, where visitors get to see some of the world's most colorful, florescent minerals in their natural state.
