"I was absolutely stunned, seriously! Everyone has to stay in one of these 270-degree panoramic rooms – the view is just incredible, you can see the East River directly from your room. It was so beautiful, I was speechless. My friend and I just sat there in the chairs, quietly admiring the view for ages. And then, I think the second most beautiful sight is the lobby; it's unbelievably gorgeous. The room itself was very clean, so much so that you could walk barefoot on the floor, which really added to that 'at home' feeling, very atmospheric. My only minor wish is that some of the room facilities could be refurbished, and the disposable towels could be a bit thicker. I will definitely be back, just you wait, haha!"

"The itinerary was basic, but the hotel was anything but. We stayed at a truly elegant hotel on the other side of the Xiaodong River. I pondered for a long time what words to describe it. It had a wabi-sabi feel, yet the details were human and warm. It had a traditional style, yet the rooms reflected a technological and modern aesthetic. Finally, I realized this might be the "quality" we were looking for. It's said that the owner had previously worked as a teacher, then achieved financial independence by starting a tech company. In his 50s, he built a hotel, freed from worldly scrutiny and able to design and operate it to his own taste. In the evening, I sat in the lounge, enjoying a rich cocktail, listening to the graceful guzheng music, and observing the beautiful young women. All my emotional wrinkles were smoothed out, leaving behind a stable core. Not only the food and accommodation, but also the hotel's cultural experience programs were thoughtfully curated. The hotel also has its own dock with direct access to the Xiaodong River Visitor Center on the other side. Riding on a bamboo raft, the river breeze caressed my face, making me feel that life is beautiful and life is precious."

The environment is clean and elegant, the bedding is cozy, and the room is very spacious with thoughtful details everywhere. The staff are gentle and attentive, and it offers great value for money. I genuinely recommend staying here. Most importantly, it's very close to Xiaodongjiang, so it's highly recommended if you plan to get up early to visit Xiaodongjiang."

"I came to Dongjiang Lake for a trip and chose this one near the scenic spot. The experience is very good. The location is very good, very close to Xiaodongjiang, it is especially convenient to come over after watching the morning mist. The dishes are authentic Xiangwei, live water fish must be tried, freshly made, the meat is fine and tender; the fried chicken with tea oil is very aromatic. The price is reasonable, and there is no imagined situation around the scenic spot. The store was cleaned up, and the boss also enthusiastically told us the best time period to see the fog, and there were niche check-in points. It is rare to meet this kind of store when you travel. I will visit it next time and recommend it to friends who come to play."

"The owner was really welcoming and gave us a free upgrade to a river-view room, plus complimentary fruit. The room was clean and had smart amenities. The B&B's location is excellent, right by the Dongjiang River, offering beautiful views of it from the room. It's also only about a 10-minute walk to the Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area, which made for a great experience. Thumbs up, definitely five stars!"

"We booked a family room, which was fairly clean. The house is located by the river, and the surrounding environment is also nice; it's convenient for taking walks along the river in the morning and evening. However, the room was too small with two beds, the mattresses were too soft and uncomfortable, and the air conditioner was too noisy, making it difficult to fall asleep. Overall, the experience was just average."
Xiaoqingzhou Homestay (Dongjianghu Scenic Area)
"Great! A taxi can take you directly to the guesthouse. When I arrived it was late, past midnight, and the owner was waiting for me at the door, even helping me with my luggage. He patiently and meticulously answered all my questions about the itinerary, including when to go to Xiaodongjiang in the morning, and the schedule for going to Gaoyiling and the high-speed rail station. I was very satisfied with the room; although not large, it was cozy, with a good selection of disposable amenities, and it was clean. The temperature was low at night, and the air conditioning worked well. I especially loved the recliner. Regarding the scenic area: It's very close to Xiaodongjiang; just a few minutes' walk to the right after exiting the guesthouse. Unfortunately, I didn't see any fog this time. It seems the best time to visit is from the end of May until National Day. Also, you might see fog if you go early on a weekday. It's better to get off at platform 1 and watch the net casting; there are fewer people, and you don't waste time. Getting off at platform 2 would waste the time you might have had to see the fog. The best time for viewing and taking photos is probably around platform 3. It takes more than half an hour to get to Gaoyiling by taxi. The barbecue skewers were delicious!! After visiting Xiaodongjiang, I ate some small fish and shrimp at a casual restaurant next to the guesthouse. The taste was okay, but a bit pricey. Recommended, I would stay here again if I have the chance. Attached are some casual photos taken with my phone; I haven't exported the photos from my camera yet."

"The best B&B in Bailang. See the pictures for yourself. The room was clean and spacious. Even though we arrived late that day, the heater was on when we entered the room, which was a nice touch. The bathtub was large and convenient for soaking, but the bath bag provided was quite slippery."

"I really loved the decor style of this guesthouse. The bed was super comfortable, and the lemon tea made by the lovely lady at the front desk was delicious. They even upgraded our room for free when they saw I had multiple children, and their suggested travel guide for Chenzhou was really helpful. The guesthouse is located in a residential building, and you can park right outside, which is very convenient."

"Choosing this guesthouse was the best decision I made on this trip! The moment I opened the door, I felt instantly at peace; it was even more cozy than the photos. I booked several rooms, and each one was tastefully decorated, with the host's thoughtful touches evident in every corner. The bedding was soft, clean, and subtly scented. The shampoo was great, and they even provided laundry detergent! The disposable toiletries were plentiful and hygienic. The soaking tub was incredibly relaxing, and I slept soundly all night in the quiet. What touched me most was the thoughtfulness of the receptionist, who sent me a guide to the surrounding area beforehand, recommending affordable and delicious private restaurants. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm here, and I've already recommended it to my friends!"

"The hotel was generally clean, but parking was limited, so I parked next door. When I went downstairs that evening, the hotel experienced a power outage – the first time I'd ever encountered this. The elevator was also out of power, so I couldn't go up. We had someone temporarily generate electricity, but the generator was very noisy at night, making it impossible to sleep. The most crucial problem was that due to the limited power, the air conditioning couldn't cool the room, leaving it at 30°C. I was sweltering all night, covered in sweat, and unable to sleep. I called the front desk, but they didn't offer me a fan or anything; they just said, "That's how it is..." The next day, I was extremely drowsy. A truly terrible experience."
